  • Bad monitor or LCD screen cable on Qosmio X 505?

Looking for a little help to solve my problem.

About six months ago my web cam log if I moved the monitor back or front. A month or two later the monitor should fade a bit. I have to move the monitor to restore its brightness. The monitor will now completely black if moved. I have to close it and open the lid (monitor) completely so that he could appear at the back and it still does not work the first time... I am running an external monitor via HDMI to avoid the problem... I really need to this address.

This sounds like a cable of the LCD screen or a monitor problem? Looking at what part to replace everything first.

    Thank you for your time.

You know very well that this virtual path no one can say with certainty what the problem and this question must be verified correctly.
I put t know why you don t tell us what model of laptop you have.

Anyway, if you have the new Qosmio notebook with valid warranty I recommend to contact the nearest Toshiba service provider and let them solve this problem. Warranty will cover all costs.

  • HP Pavilion Dv5 screen compatibility

I was wondering if I would be able to replace the screen of my HP Pavilion Dv5-1125nr with that of my HP Pavilion Dv5-1002nr model?

Recently, the display on my laptop turns off. The screen will be for a bit and then the backlight turns off but image will still be on the screen. Thinking that it was a problem with the inverter I ordered a new one and installed with the same results. Computer works with external projector so I think that the LEDs is bad. I have used the computer for more than a year and not to turn it off. Computer tends to overheat like most HPs.

As the screen on the HP Pavilion Dv5-1002nr works very well, it would be good to know if I could just spend it.

    Thank you

    Erik

PS: I guess it would be nice to get out them but some assurance would be nice. Here are the laptop stat pages:

  • [HP dv5-1000us] Rolls of screen, loose connection?

I recently bought a dv5-1000us. Since a few days after the purchase of the laptop, the screen started rolling as it is a loose connection or there is a problem with the screen. I tried to connect the laptop to my tv and different monitors and the screen just rolls on the laptop. If I set the monitor forwards and backwards, he finally stopped. However, recently its gains quite ridiculous and VERY common. Has anyone else had this issue or know a fix? I don't want to lift open the cell phone and void the warranty. I can't really afford to send it off to get fixed since I use it everyday to school. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Heres the fix. Take off the front cover and the speaker of the laptop section exposing the cable from the monitor on the left side. Take off the black ribbon that HP used to crimp the Saint * beep * on the cable. Once the cable is able to move more freely, the problem will disappear. There was a wire that was broken in two, and I cut just to make sure he did not contact with something else. It's apparently only a ground wire because he did wrong. I expected to have to buy a new cable, but take off the Ribbon round is played. There will be about 30-40 screws to remove, just a heads. And he is heard as you break the cheap plastic, but it will break again together. Be gentle, but farm and it will come immediately with little damage. (: This fix beats the hell out of pay HP to replace the screen... looking upward from the part of monitor online only given the Assembly WHILE the screen cable.) I will NEVER buy HP after being an avid «passionate» HP

  • PowerBook G4 aluminum screen rendering problems

Hello. I use an old PowerBook G4 aluminum 15 " only for some older programs that I still have, the specs are 1.33 GHz, 1 GB DDR SDRAM, an A1095 model (I think). It is currently running OS 10.4.11 Tiger.

I am having some problems with the rendering of images, windows and icons on the screen. Sometimes, say if there is a background image, there will be pixels of a pure purple and light green color and other parts of these colors in pants plates, which will fade in-and-out in intensity. There will be a purple halo around the icons on the desktop, windows will have their underlined by violet title bar and the window itself will be celebrating also in purple. When I move these icons and windows, the outline of color moves with him - even for images with these pants patches. If I try to take a screenshot, it looks like it has taken to this effect, but when the screen goes back to normal, the images do not show fading.

There is also a kind of shear horizontal wind that comes and goes, like a Photoshop effect, which seems to affect the whole screen - but it was did not so lately, moreso just the pants colors. The effect of shear wind or rosacea are affected by the position of the screen.

These are intermittent problems that come and go, sometimes they may not arrive for a few hours or a few days, and sometimes they keep coming back and to stay - they also vary in intensity, sometimes just annoying, other times made the screen so bad that I have to do a hard shutdown with the power button.

I have connected this laptop to a LED TV (via a HDMI DVI cable) when I had these patches scrambled on the computer laptop screen - and the TV screen shows very well, without tasks.

After asking some Apple technicians, they thought it could be anything from:

-l' screen is gone - but why would move fading when I move the images/icons/windows?

    -a bad laptop screen cable

-video card - but she restores the fine screen image when connected to a TV?

    -memory on the logic board

-poorly seated RAM (which I've deleted and reinstalled several times with the same results)

Or a combination of these. They say this isn't a problem with HD.

I understand that it is an old computer and an old technology, but I would still go back to normal, as everything else works fine. I know a guy who can replace the screen and the cable, as it seems a little tricky for me to do would not touch the video card. I'm wary about this fact, because it may be other things that causes this problem.

In addition, the graphics card is an ATI Mobility Radeon 9700, model: ATY, RV360M11 - if it helps.

Any ideas - thanks. (Please keep it relatively simple, if possible)

As the connected HDTV does not have this effect, the problem is likely related to the PowerBook's display hardware.  If the problem was related to the graphics card (and 'upstream' material) or due to a software problem, waiting for HDTV to show the same effect at a time when the PowerBook display is the effect.

  • Qosmio X 300 - no image on the screen

I have a problem with a display on laptop screen. When the computer sometimes see the boot screen, sometimes not. In both cases, the laptop does work correctly only no image on the screen. Switch to an external monitor, the image is ok. also to a normal startup (when I can see the photo) after a few minutes of work normal black "fade to" screen and the laptop still works correctly. I at this time here that I try to get the combination of keys - FN display on a report of external monitor to the current image on the laptop, which diseappears after two seconds. Once the laptop is broken for several hours, sometimes the system starts normally and the laptop runs normally five to ten minutes. Of course the image on the external monitor is always ok. I installed win 10,8,7 and I still had the same problems. I have bud inverter but that did not help. The next thing to try would be a replacement for laptop screen cable and a screen, but I fear that there would be no help. What to do? Can there be a malfunction in the backlight if screen sometimes works ok?

Problem has been lighting... When change laptop screen laptop start at normal work...

  • Equium L40-10 x black screen

OK, I'm at my wits end with this one

Equium L40 - 10 x screen went dark. Can know roughly if brandi for screen light. Works fine when connected to the external display.

Replaced the power inverter - still black screen
Replaced screen - screen still black
Replaced the screen cable - still black screen

Only other thing I can think is too that the replacement inverter was defective?

    What else could be?

    > Can know about if brandi for screen light. Works fine when connected to the external display.

He is a singing typical of FL inverter problem
The FL inverter is part hidden behind plastic frame and control the hand lit display.
I guess it must be replaced

New part can be bought from authorized maintainer Toshiba

  • White screen on Equium P200

    Hi all!
yesterday morning I started my computer, after 5 min, I close the lid, and I'm going to work.
When I'm back back I opened the lid and I get a white screen.
Well, I think is right for the moment. I restarted but white screen again.
I restarted many times but nothing. I heard the noise of vista hard drive to work, but I don't get nothing on the screen. I'm trying to connect an external monitor but nothing.
Anyone have this problem? I Don t has an idea of what I can do to recover the normal screen of you.
If I use reinstall drive I lose all my data and I don't want to. Can someone help me with a few great ideea what can I do?
    Thank you much in advance.

A white screen usually means that the backlight is on but no signal reaches the graphics card on the screen. This could have many reasons such as:

    -a broken screen cable
    -graphics card failure
    -view controller malfunction
-some short circuit between the graphics card and the screen

  • Satellite U400-112 - opening of the screen turns off the computer

    Hello

When I open the screen, then when it crosses a certain opening angle, the computer is off. Then, I need to plug in the external power supply and remove the battery. After that, I can turn on the laptop.

After my way back, when I turned on the laptop, the screen was white alone (no other colors) and when I open it again, disables NB.

So I suppose, in the articulation of the screen cable are damaged. Because the external LCD (via VGA) works very well.
Laptop is still under warranty. don't you think that it can be applied?

    Thanks for the tips, John.

    Hello John

  • HP Pavilion G7-2022US: no backlight on the LCD of the G7-2022US screen, but the video can be seen on external monitor

I'm trying to fix the HP Pavilion G7-2022US laptop from a friend, the number of product B4Z74UA.  The laptop starts in Windows 7, but the screen is dark even during the BIOS or by MAIL.

    Symptoms:
Laptop turns on but the LCD screen stays dark (during the POST and when Windows loads)
With the help of a flashlight on the display shows that the video is present but the backlight does not work
The video can be seen on an external display connected via VGA cable

    What I've done so far:
Installed a new LCD screen cable
    Installed a new LCD screen
    Update BIOS
    Updated graphic driver
check that the lid close switch works (small magnet under the screen that signals the motherboard to turn off display when the lid is closed)
Static discharge by keeping the button depressed with battery and power adapter disconnected
Checked if RAM could be bad

I tried all the solutions above, but the screen remains dark.  The only way to use the laptop is to connect it to an external monitor.  I disassembled the laptop together and there is no inverter part to replace.

I don't know what else to do.  Any suggestions?

I finally found the culprit.  A circuit of (possibly a fuse mounted on surface) on the motherboard next to the display cable connector is visibly burned.  The circuit is too damaged to solder and close the connection.
