  OK, so I have a HP ENVY 700-214 (plug here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04100558 ) and I'd like to get a new graphics card that is compatible with my setup.   This is a great little video card that will fit easily in your case and give you good performance.  However, you need to check to see if power supply (PSU) in the computer unit has a connector 6 extra pins.  Most maps in the price range you want to require at least a connector, 6 or 8 pins or both.  At present, it is out of stock.  You may be able to find an another etailer.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.

  I have a HP Pavilion HPE series, the number of model h8 - 1380t.  The specifications are in the link below.  I have a PSU 460W.  I would like to replace my gt630 with a gtx770.  I know I have to upgrade my power supply.

  My question is the motherboard in this cabable of model of double implemented in SLI graphics cards?

  If so I would size the power supply for the SLI then instead of just the card solo, just in case I have add a second card in the future.  All recommendations regarding the additional cooling for a gtx 770 equipment would suspect that it is necessary or not?

  Typical GTX770 needs 230W. Allowing 300W for all essential items except the GTX is appropriate. Then add the GTX, and you get 530W. That's why HP recommends a 600W power supply in the config it is with the HD7950, which uses only 200W.  By projecting your scenerio, you'll need more 750W. A custom player would be a better choice, built for fan kits or water cooling.

  S-Video graphics cards are pretty much out of manufacturing.  Search for a 9500 GT from NVIDIA if you want to output.  MS Windows 8 shows compatibility with the 9500 GT from NVIDIA.  There are several models of 9500 GT listed as compatible.

  When in doubt, try the simplest thing first - look!  On the side of the PSU contained the information I wanted, unlike the HP PSU on my units of office earlier.  + 12Va - 12A line and + 12Vb line - 16A.  Don't know what line feeds the PCI-E slot, but neither is sufficient for the card I want to add.  Even my old EVGA Nvidia-powered card requires 18A on the + 12V line when it is matched witn an i7-4770.

  Your computer uses a standard ATX (PSU) power.  Open the PC and measure the size of the PSU.  Over 300 watts ATX HP power supplies should be 5.9 "by 3.4" 5.5 "then seek a replacement with the same measures.  Your PC is open, measure to see how much space you have a graphics card.  Study the posted article.

  Corsair CS650m or CX600 would be a good choice for a power supply.

  This EVGA GTX 970would be a good choice for a graphics card, but measure to make sure it fits.

  He already has a video chip (card). As mentioned above, no way you can add an external video card in your machine. In fact, there is a way that requires the following steps:

  buy a new motherboard that supports an external video card.

  (b) buy a new video card,

  (c) buy a new cooling system,

  (d) you may need new power supply (charger)

  And at the end of the day, your machine may NOT work as you dream and the total cost would be more than the price of a new, better computer.

  I've refreshed recently my PC in the last month, and after a recent update, my Windows computer has stopped responding to orders of brightness and is stuck at full intensity. In addition, it seems that a common measure of troubleshooting is to install a new chipset and graphics card. However, the card graphic driver States during installation is not compatible with my PC (despite the Intel and HP recommend through various Web sites). In addition, the current I have says it's for Windows 8 only and so crashes quite often. No idea how correct the brightness or graphics card problems?

  It seems that some research solved the problem.

  I finished updating the remaining graphics drivers using a third party service, and things stopped crashing.

  In addition, the question was actually with the driver for the monitor, which was something I did not installed (PnP-monitor). I swapped it to the generic PnP monitor, that solved the problem.   No, if it is not broken, do not fix.  If everything works fine, just keep it in game.  If you start to have problems, such as the computer freezing or startup strangely, you may need to change the power supply.

  You use the NVIDIA Control Panel to control how and when the graphics card performance can be activated. There is no current option that allows the command BIOS graphics solutions.

  How long have you had? Basically, no laptop computer has a graphics card which is expandable. Actually not 100% true but the exceptions are so rare that they might as well not exist. If in need of something more powerful for the production of graphics or game was a basis to return the laptop everyone would back his laptop. I don't work for HP and you could call them and see what they will do, but I don't hold much hope for you.
