  In this case, you may need to format the entire disk, clean the partitions and reinstall new windows as suggested before. However, I suggest you to contact local support for the backup of your data from hard disk partitions.

• In CS2 program error: "could not use the text because of a program error."

  Yesterday when using the text tool, I kept getting the message "Could not use the text tool because of a program error". Today I still get this message and the same message when I try to change the size of the image. There is no information on what the program error is - all advice?

  This can be caused by a corrupt police.

  If you are on a Mac, FontBook open, select all (Cmd + A) fonts, file > validate font. Check fonts corrupted / invalid according to the results. Delete all corrupt fonts. Try using the text tool now.

• Could not use the Clone Stamp tool as the area to clone has not been set

  Freshly installed 10 items.  Can not use the option-click to define an area for the clone stamp.  The error I get is:

  Could not use the clone stamp tool because the area to clone has not been defined (option - click to set a sampling point).

  New Mac Mini.  Had the same problems in Elements 9 so I installed the trial of 10.  Is it an error of keyboard shortcut?  Do not have this problem with Elements 9 on my Mac Air or my Windows 7 system.

  Yes, that sounds like a problem of layers.  If the area that you use to define the source of duplication is a transparent area on one of your layers, it will not work.  Released from the Palette layers, then make sure that you use the area of the image (and not the mask area) - if the area of the image on the layer is active, it will have a border.

  I get this message: could not book record (2 tries). Keep trying?

  The field is updatable. When I run this query into a toad, I get the desired number. I'm the only one that accesses the table.

  Perhaps the table or record is locked. So to fix it, you need to unlock.

• "Could not reserve record (2 tries) persevering?" vs expected

  We have received our applications of Forms 10 g from a seller, & take today during the interview. We come across 2 possible scenarios when user A has a locked record. B the user sees is:
  
  -a pop up message that reads "could not reserve record (2 tries) keep trying?
  -an hourglass until that user B does a commit or rollback
  
  Is there a property setting on the block of data or something, which causes the first scenario to run a "select * from table where PK = <>for update nowait" or something? We cannot understand how this happens.

  The message ' don't could not reserve... "comes from the shape of the base table. Forms tries to lock the record and if he can't do that, you get this message.
  Now, if you have another procedure or a trigger that is called when the validation that is trying to update another table, you get the hourglass when the procedure is waiting for a lock.

  Hey,.

  I just got my new HP Envy 13 d045tu and not even 1 week, I can't start.

  When I press the power button, it turns on for about 5 seconds then dies again. Absolutely Nothing appeared on the screen, not even a flicker.

  I have tried those doing hard reset stuff like by pressing the power button for 20 seconds, the power button / stop + mute all these and nothing do not seem to work? What should I do? Its only a few days old!

  It turns out that it is a manufacturing defect. Application of a new replacement unit (5 days only), technician says probably motherboard problem. Thanks anyway!
