HP Envy m7-k211dx: video memory upgrade 2-4 form.

Hello I have a HP Envy m7-k211dx with NVIDIA GeForce 840 M with 2 GB of video memory card how I upgraded to 4096MB?

You don't you can't and it would not help if you could. However, offered on the m7-k200 series was a GeForce 850 M with 4 GB of video memory. The graphics chips are soldered directly to the motherboard, so theoretically you can get the motherboard of 850M and exchange for your.

Here is the Service Manual:

Manual

The motherboards in this range of products also include a processor soldered onto your best motherboard would be this:

Intel Core i7-4720HQ Discrete 850 M 4 GB (2.6 GHz, turbo up to 3.6 GHz SC), 1 600 MHz/6 MB L3, quad core 47 W for use with the operating system Standard of 782621-501

HP is out of stock on the motherboard, but you might be able to find online. I expect to cost more than $400, maybe a little more.

  • 915GM/GMS, 910GML - video memory upgrade

Greetings. I have a little problem with my laptop Insiron 1300. I bought + 1 GB of ram in my laptop to increase the performance of the system and video memory. I downloaded a new video driver (on the Intel support site) so I was able to affect the 96 MB, 128 MB video memory. BUT shortly after, I experinenced freezes and bluescreens. When I was using the old driver, it's never happened before. So the problem is: when I use the latest version of the driver I can put a maximum of 128 MB but will have bluescreens on 3D (games, 3D designers and all) applications, but if I use the old driver, everything works perfectly, but I have the 128 MB of video memory. My question is: is it possible to adjust the amount of video memory? Or any other solution would be nice.

    Thank you.

    Sorry for my bad English.

  • HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1110us: Memory Upgrade - vs 1333 MHz 1600 MHz

    Hello

I plan to upgrade RAM my laptop 4GB to 16GB (2 x 8 GB). I went through the manual and noticed that the laptop comes with two slots for memory module:

    i. support of DDR3 - 1600 MHz single channel

    II support. DDR3 - 1333 MHz single channel (DDR3-1600 downgrade to 1333)

I understand that memory cards should "mirror" each other in order to maintain the balance of system, they must be identical in terms of memory and performance.

    My question is this:

Should a. I buy 2 memory cards that run at 1600 MHz? I understand the second module slot, which runs at 1333 MHz, to downgrade the two cards to this specification. Or,

Should b. I buy 2 memory cards that run at 1333 MHz? Which would be compatible with the first slot which will at1600MHz?

Thanks in advance for your help. Impatience on your part.

You can buy 2 sticks of exactly the same configuration, speed, possibly brand - DDR3 1600 MHz, SODIMM SDRAM PC3-12800. Unfortunately sticks will only work on single channel even if both are of the same capacity (8 GB in two slots), so no dual channel thrust intended for your model.

You know the configuration, the speed of the stick currently installed by running this tool: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html

The speed indicated in the application currently is the possible speed through the two slots of memory.

  • How to upgrade video memory on Satellite L40 - 17R?

I have laptop Toshiba Satellite L40 - 17R with 2 GB RAM and I want to upgade my video memory: 256 MB Max (384MB). How can I do this?

Unfortunately you can not upgrade you RAM physically as your video RAM is just shared memory.

You can try to increase the amount of RAM in the BIOS because the video RAM should be a shared memory. If you can't find some options in the BIOS, that allows to increase the amount of video RAM, then you won´t be able to update...

To learn more about shared memory, please see the following site:
    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Shared_Memory_Architecture

I must also tell you that even if you would be able to increase the amount of graphics memory shared, it won´t affect performance not really since the system RAM is slower then a sort of RAM dedicated.

  • HP ENVY Notebook m6-1105dx: question to DDR3L DDR3 memory upgrade

I have a laptop of HP ENVY m6-1105dx.

    I would like to upgrade from 1.5V to DDR3L 1.35v DDR3.

Is this possible without damage to my laptop?

    Thank you

    Joan

The upgrades only to memory that can be made to your laptop is installation of memory modules that are guaranteed compatible by a manufacturer of memory.

Your laptop is not like a mother gaming for a desktop computer. You are limited to the settings "protect me from myself" available in your BIOS. You cannot change the tension of memory to allow the motherboard to accept other modules of memory. Installation of memory with others that the specifications published by HP or other than guaranteed compatible memory modules will probably reward you with no experience to have fun a non laptop startup.

That said, I recommend you do a search on google for HP ENVY m6-1105dx memory upgrade. Stick with well-known brands to avoid surprises.

  • Envy 17 6CF5093KZJ: dedicated video memory

My laptop has Intel Graphics HD 4600. Total available graphics memory is 8285 MB with only 128 MB dedicated video memory. Is it possible to increase the amount of memory dedicated to the video memory?

    Edit:

If it is not possible to do it with a few key strokes, is it possible in changing material?

    Hello

No, you can't add more RAM to the chip, system will automatically more contribute up to the maximum limit by using RAM available. Yes, you can change the hardware: buy the new motherboard = buy a new machine.

  • HP Envy M7-k211dx: where is a service manual for the HP Envy m7-k211dx?

I just bought a HP Envy M7-k211dx with the 5th generation I7 processor and can't find a manual anywhere for it.  HP service manuals provided for this computer on the HP support site are not for this model... they are for the HP Envy 17 T.  My computer has a sterling silver case and is not removable individually on the back for hard disk components and memory.  The manuals provide does not offer any information on how to remove the case to access the secondary hard drive bays or to upgrade memory.

How HP can sell a computer with any of this information?  Does anyone know where is a real repair or how to open the folder to access the secondary components of disk and memory hard?  Please, any help is appreciated.

  • HP pavilion 500-123w: dedicated video memory

So I tried to install a game, by controlling require it software and hardware, I noticed that I needed 1 G of dedicated video memory, but I only have 32 MB. I went into the BIOS and I looked for the ability to change the dedicated video memory, but I couldn't find, is there a way I can add/change video memory dedicated?

    Thank you

    Carlos, welcome to the forum.

No, there is no way to change the integrated video memory.  Your best option would be to install a discrete PCI Express x 16 (Gen 2.0) video card.  This would also require a power supply (PSU) upgrade.  Your power supply is only 300W and recent video cards require a minimum of 400w.

  • Improves we dedicate the video memory on my C50 - A Satellite?

    Hello

I bought Toshiba Satellite C50 - A are a week and today I found it can run some games but not very well.

Is it possible to change my dedicated video memory, because its 32 MB?
    My series 5E102406U here!

    Hello

As much as I know there is no option where you can change it manually. Simply, it works automatically and depends on the RAM used in your laptop. With more RAM, more memory will be used for video operations.

If possible post please model mobile exact and we can check specification and RAM upgrade options.

The problem is that my video memory is low (128 MB). This laptop has a shared Intel GMA 4500 M video. How can I increase the size of the video memory? I can't find anything in the user manuals. I have the latest version of the driver for him... and I can't find where to increase its memory.

    Could you help me please?

    Thank you guys.

When the laptop has shared graphics memory card, that means the RAM will be used for graphic operations (borrowing of memory of RAM your system of graphics chip).
With RAM more available (upgrade of RAM), more memory will be available for graphics operations.

I want to share some memory to improve the proceedings of VGA card.
I know that I need to do from the CONFIGURATION of the BACK but I can't and I need to improve my VGA card because the default is so so small... I want to give him some PART of MEMORY (RAM) SYSTEM

    PLEASE I NEED HELP

    THANK YOU GUYS;

    Hey Buddy

Unfortunately, I doubt that you can allocate a portion of system memory to video memory manually. AFAIK this sharing process is controlled by the driver for graphics card and all run automatically.

On the other hand the graphics card driver could assign more memory for video card if the system memory could be upgraded.
In other words the higher system RAM superior video RAM.
