If you have a DVD decoder (for example Power DVD) try reinstalling it.

If it is not... Take a look at the following site:

Also, you could try one of the players following freeware that will play DVDs:

Restore point before installing software or updates)

  • Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device.

    Original title: Media Player

I tried to play my music in media player and they will not play. The tab that appears says "Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with the audio device. It might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it can be used by another program, or it may not work properly. Also, I can not play music in the window, that I downloaded everything. If anyone has an answer I would appreciate the help. Thank you

    Hi MikeMcKayXE,

    ·         What is the brand and model of the computer?

Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

Method 1: Quit other programs that may be using your sound device, and then try to play the file again.

Method 2: Install an updated driver.

Step 1: Firstly uninstall the audio from the device manager driver and Add / Remove Programs

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click Systemand click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager.

    c. to the title sound, video and games controller, check the sound card that is listed.

    d. right click on the sound card, and then click Uninstall driver.

Step 2: To see if an updated driver is available, use Windows Update or access the sound device manufacturer's Web site.

Follow these steps to do the same thing:

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click Systemand click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager.

    c. the title sound, the video controller and games, make sure that the sound card is listed.

    d. right click on the sound card and then click Update driver to install the latest version of the driver.

    e. visit the sound card manufacturer's Web site to determine if a newer version of the driver is available for download.

Method 3: If you have multiple audio devices installed on your computer, try to use another. The selected audio device might not support Secure Audio Path (SAP).

I use original Windows7 family Basic. My help also Win7 hb. My windows media player is not playing the videos 3GP but Win my friend ' media player playing the same video. What is the problem with my WM player? It is to this day...

    Hello

Videos in 3gp format cannot be played directly on Windows Media Player.

You will need a codec to play the video file. A codec is a software to compress or decompress a digital media file, such as a song or a video. Windows Media Player and other programs use the codec to play and create digital media files.

    Method 1:

You can use the link and check if you get the necessary codec to download based on the file type, you are trying to read.

    Method 3:

You can also use your favorite search engine to download and install a codec based on the file type, you must use.

  • Windows 7 and Warcraft 3 has delays and delays when you play the game

Recently, about 2 days ago (Yes it literally took me 2 days to install win7 on this pc) I bought windows 7 proffesional. I have upgraded to Windows XP Professional SP3 to Windows 7. I am running windows xp, playing my Warcraft 3 (Dota) on Garena it was absolutely no lag at all! Now since I've set to upgrade to Windows 7 ive been enjoying (Yes enjoying) within 10 seconds, it seems at full speed and slow down at random. I'll lag 3 minutes approximately and don't hang for 3 seconds. like a swing. Anywase I tried searching all the patches and for the last 8 hours (Yes 8 hours, no work) and still nothing works, Ive tried to put the DWORD in registry and same GameBooster... nothing works. Ive done a Speedtest with speedtest.net and all goes well, at my local to host his 29ms and 70 to floridia. I live in Ontario in the Canada, it's pretty darn good considering its on the opposite end of the North America. Now Im contemplating this copy of Windows 7 back and telling the truth to my brother who has a laptop with windows 7 and it lags like * and all that he has on him is Itune and his music. For a hobby I have difficulty computing hardware wise, sometimes with the software, and I implemented several networks a lot a lot. I've been "Playing" with computers for more than 10 years now. This problem takes just the cake. Took 2 days to find a way to get windows 7 works with my ATI card and no it was not the AGP hotfix that they, he was actually using Windows 7 provided on the cd drivers and install windows 7 with just the onboard VGA output and installing my video after the first win7 card run. Now my only problem is this gameplay lag. As shown on Windows XP, he was beautiful, only reason ive upgraded to windows 7 has been the annoying aspect of XP and the fact that my wireless says its compatible with windows xp, but is actually not. So my last shot in the dark. If someone knew please turn my way, it will help me a lot. Windows 7 Proffesional D-Link DWA - 131 DIR-625 router HIS Radeon HD 4350 (exaggeration for war3)

  • Pavilion 27xw & Envy 15 laptop: how to keep sound when connected to the laptop

Have a laptop 15.6-inch Envy running on Windows 10 and rose just a monitor 27 xw Pavilion, they are connected by a HDMI cable included with monitor

If there is sound broadcast when I connect the HDMI cable it continues to broadcast through the speakers on the laptop, but if it stops then it don't re - start not to broadcast while connected.  If I disconnect the monitor then the sounds spread through the laptop.

How to work around this problem?

    Jimmy, welcome to the forum.

You must connect the monitor to the laptop and go to control panel / sound.  You must make sure that the speakers to the monitor are set by default.  If you do not use the monitor all the time, you may need to do this every time you connect it.
