HP G50-109NR driver

I have a HP G50-109NR and after reformatting and installing Windows 7 Ultimate x 64 I have a driver problem.  I can't find a driver for one of the pieces of hardware. In the Device Manager under the other heading he has listed coprocessor.  Does anyone know where to find a driver for this coprocessor.  Thanks for your time.

Ok:

What is is the following:

NVIDIA nForce System Management Controller

Try this driver and if all goes well, he will do the trick.

The parameter if you have this option from the IDE to the setting of DCIS is inside the BIOS Setup. If you do not have the option in the BIOS of the drive then you have only IDE setting.

    Well, if she's here,

    I have a Qosmio G50. I installed WindowXP Pro 64-bit.

I noticed the hard drive light flashes every second. I spent some time searching the net for a soultion. This led me to download a utility called "process explorer" from microsoft.

This utility show me that the active process is services.exe. The properties of this service suggest that it handles "eventlog" and 'plugplay '.

I realize that I can't go to the event log, nor what I want.

    Can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

The HDD led always flashes if it read all the data or written to the HARD disk.
The service.exe (Service Control Manager) belongs to the Windows operating system and it s of Microsoft which is necessary and my knowledge background process, it cannot be disabled.

This BIOS is incorrect for your computer. HP wrongly linked this update of the BIOS for your computer model. Please DO NOT download or install this update of the BIOS.

  • Qosmio G50 - 13R - add second HARD drive

    Hello

I want to upgrade my computer.
    Here are the numbers:

    Product name: Qosmio G50 - 13R
    Product version: PQG55E-05C04RFR
    Product series number: 89063721H

I have space for a second hard drive, but it is empty.
    No caddy, no connector.
But the Intel Rapid Storage detects an empty 4 internal port.

How to check what is the port?

I did some research and found a document on the substantive content of my computer. It says there is a connector on the motherboard for a second hard drive, here are a few references in the document:

CN1920 2nd SATA HDD (20 PIN) interface connector

Is that the motherboard of my computer (see reference above) has the CN1920 connector?
    How verified?

    Greetings.

There is a 2nd HDD bay because in the past, the Qosmio G50 is out with support for different hardware specifications and different hardware parts and obviously 2nd HARD drive Bay does not the HARD drive cable/connectors.

The Intel ICH9M South Bridge supports 4 integrated controllers serial ATA Host, so the chipset should be able to handle 4 devices SATA (2 x HDD, 1 x ODD, 1 x eSATA).

I searched on the internet a bit and discovered that the motherboard supports two controllers/connectors.
The first HARD drive must be connected to the CN1900 connector SATA (23pin) and the 2nd HARD drive must be connected to the CN1920 (20pin). The STRANGE is connected to CN1910 (13pin)

However, I think that it will not be very easy to update this unit with a 2nd HARD drive all must be dismantled and of course, you need compatible parts for these updates.

  • Qosmio G50 PQG55A: NVIDIA driver - update or not

    Hello

Thanks in advance for anyone who can help.

The short question is, should I update my NVIDIA driver from 175,90 (as shown on the Web from Toshiba site) to the Version: 186.81 WHQL as suggested by the NVIDIA site.

    The long version follows...
My Qosmio G50 (PQG55A-04J01Y), running under Vista 64 Bit, crashes intermittently. It is sometimes good for more than a week earlier, sometimes once or twice a day.

I was quite thorough with virus and malaware controls.

Everything seems to stop, even if the mouse still works.
I have to turn off the PC, sometimes reboot Check Disk runs and corrects errors.

Windows Problem Reports and Solutions comes with the following:

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A problem with the NVIDIA graphics driver
NVIDIA Graphics Driver has stopped working properly.
An update of the driver, as appropriate, could prevent this problem does not happen.
There are several ways to find and install the driver updates, but it's best to let Windows do it for you. Try the step below, which describes the process. If it does not produce a driver update that resolves the problem, try the remaining steps in the order shown.

    1. search the optional third-party updates
    2. try to manually update the NVIDIA Graphics Driver
    3. check the NVIDIA Corporation Web site for driver updates
    4. check the Web site of the manufacturer of your computer for driver updates

If NVIDIA Graphics Driver was preinstalled on your computer, check the Web site of the manufacturer of your computer for driver updates.

How can I find the manufacturer of my computer?
How to upgrade manually a pilot using a file downloaded?

    1. updates of Windows are perfectly up-to-date.

    2. when I try to update driver I get the message;
+ Windows has determined the software driver for your device is up to date. +
    However...

    3. when I use the NVIDIAs tool to automatically search for updates, I get the following:

    NVIDIA driver downloads
    Product

    NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT

    Driver was last updated
    Computer laptop version 186
    Version: * 186.81 WHQL *.

    He said also;

+ The program driver NVIDIA Verde Notebook, this is a reference driver that can be installed on laptops NVIDIA GPU. However, please note that your computer laptop OEM (OEM) provides drivers certified for your mobile specific on their Web site. NVIDIA recommend you check with your OEM laptop on the software updates recommended for your laptop. OEM may not provide technical support for the issues raised by the use of this driver. +

So... should I install the latest driver or not?
If not, is there anything else I can do?

Thank you very much for reading all this and thanks in advance for any help.

    See you soon

    > Short is, devrais I update my NVIDIA driver from 175,90 (as shown on the Web from Toshiba site) to the Version: 186.81 WHQL as suggested by the NVIDIA site.

Generally, you must use the graphics driver downloaded from the Toshiba driver page.
The graphic card driver from the Toshiba page has been tested and it s certified by Toshiba.

The common graphics driver nVidia is not designed for laptop and that's why these drivers don't support a protection against overheating.
    Driver Toshiba done!

So using the page nVidia graphics card driver can be risky and could overheat your GPU so the use of 3 third-party drivers is always at your own risk!

I have thin you should stay with the driver from the Toshiba page

  • Hard drive SSD 80 GB in the Qosmio G50-10 t

    Hello

Is this hard drive Intel SSD X 25-M 80 GB will work ok as a main system in the Qosmio G50-10 t.

    Hello

The Qosmio G50 supports SATA 2.5 HDD.
    The Intel SSD X 25 - M 80 GB is a 2.5 SSD with the SATA interface.

I think that the SSD should work in your G50 and the BIOS should recognize it because it supports the SATA interface as well.

PS: there is also a disc SSD Intel X 18 - M Mainstream SATA, but it s 1.8 just and not 2.5

  • Qosmio G50 - repair windows from the HARD drive

    Hi all

My laptop - QOSMIO G50 - needs a bit of cleanup, and I thought to reinstall from scratch.

I know that I can use the "repair" function which is 'hidden' on the HARD drive that will get the pc to its original installation.

But I have a few questions.

    1. I've upgraded to Windows 7 quite earlier. But if the built-in repair feature reinstalls the pc for initial installation, I guess I'll be back on VISTA and will need to upgrade to WIN7 manually?

    2. most important: when I got the laptop, the seller had installed, so when I started, the installation begins. Then, I had the choice to install the 32-bit version or 64-bit.
I never expected to have 64-bit on the laptop so I chose 32-bit - and now I regret it enormously.
Now, if doing so clean reinstall from the HARD disk, it will give me a choice between 64-bit or 32-bit new or if it simply with the 32-bit version, I chose the first time? Or can I do something else for you ensure that I get the 64-bit installed this time?

    Thank you.

    Lio

    Hey,.

Important to know would be if you want to install Vista or Windows 7 now...

If you want to do a clean install of new, repair function is also deleted or let's say the entire contents of the HARD drive if you reinstall Windows recovery disk Toshiba.

Some laptops has been equipped with a function for 32-bit and 64-bit, and if you reinstall Vista from Toshiba recovery disc you will again have this option.

  • Qosmio G50-10 q - driver has stopped responding and has recovered

My father has a Qosmio g50-10 q for more than a year, and as he bought it he could not see the videos with a resolution more than 640 * 480 and preview of the photos by right click on them and select Preview.

The problem exists on the operating system preinstalled Vista and today Ive tried to install an operating system windows 7 Professional 32-bit edition.
    The problem is he stil.

I downloaded the drivers from the official website of toshiba.
After a lot of testing, I downloaded nvidia nvidia drivers but the problem is exactly the same.
I am a COMPUTER expert, but I've never found a problem not solved like this.

I can not even go on youtube and watch a video in full screen.
Whenever I try to play a video, the screen will start to Flash and then the video becomes black and a notification that says "display driver stopped responding and has recovered".

I can't even see the video demo in the video folder of windows (wild life).
And the situation really strange when I click with the right button on an image and select Preview. It shows a white or a black image.

If I press the button of the screen adjustment, the image appears, but when I go to the next pixture I can't see him again.
If I choose to see a presentation full screen, I can see all normally.
Its really frustrating for a laptop of this award and I don't know if this problem is drivers or the 9700 M GTS was defective from the start.

I hope I can find an answer here before I return it to Toshiba

    Thanks in advance

    Hi mate

I had the same error happened on my laptop satellite.
The display driver crashed and recovered
I've updated the display driver and this has solved my problem.

In your case, it of really strange that you can not watch movies in 640 * 480 or higher
Maybe you need to update the BIOS. Check if there is a newer version
If so, then an update of the BIOS would be worth a try

Sorry, but I have no other recommendation for you outside the update driver as mentioned it has helped in my case

  • Hard drive 1 Quick Test Failed 303 G50: next steps/go ahead

    HP G50-133US

    OS: Windows Vista.

Today, after having some problems with the loading of the features of Firefox (i.e. the application Firefox itself, not internet issues), I met a blue screen.  I forgot the exact terms, but I think it was a kernel fault any.  (Must have written those...)  Now it hangs at startup of Windows Vista "loading bar" and does not start in the operating system.  I remember no unusual physical disruption (it drops hard, etc. - this laptop is still essentially in one place all the time, and I am careful enough with my computers).

I ran the first disc hard test, and it reports:

#10008-disque hard to replace 1 and SMART drive past.

It gives the result: failed hard drive FAST (303) 1.

After my preliminary research, this means that the hard drive is a failure, and I need to replace the drive. I can boot into Ubuntu from a live disc and still access my hard drive with all the files it contains.  I don't want to copy these files (300 + GB, etc.) on a drive that started in Ubuntu while external.

My big question at this point:

If I replace the hard drive and copy that all files back on, is it likely that Windows will start again?  At present, it does not start. For me, this means that there is probably a file system missing or inaccessible, or etc.  But, if I just copy all the data to a new disk, this file will always be missing. that makes it sound like copy all files on the drive would not allow me to recover my Windows installation.  Is this the case?  (Or, it is dependent on situation and cannot be determined?)

    Hi apnorton,

Just copy the files from the old HD on the new HD make bootable and you cannot boot into Windows using this player.

The solution is to use a recovery disc for your model of laptop reinstall Windows Vista (I hope you do when you got the PC and have always them around), which will put the operating system in the State of the PC came from the factory.

Otherwise, you could install the OS of Microsoft installation media, but you will probably need a new key system to take this path.

    Good luck!

    R

  • Qosmio G50 - Windows XP SATA Driver and BSOD

    Good evening to all...

I bought a Qosmio G50 and am frustrated with Vista. I want to load XP 32 on the system. Here are the configuration information:

    Model name: Qosmio G50
    Part number: PQG55C-01R039
OS version: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 6.0.6001 Service Pack 1
    BIOS version: Version 1.70
    CPU: Intel (r) Core (TM) 2 Duo CPU P7350 @ 2.00 GHz
IDE Outspends: Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller
    IDE devices: FUJITSU MHZ2320BH G1

    I downloaded the driver SATA here: ['Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller' | http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&ProductID=2101&DwnldID=1675 9 & strOSs = 44 & OSFullName = Windows * % 20XP % 20Professiona l & lang = eng]

The driver info indicated that it supports the "Intel(r) ICH9M-E/M SATA AHCI Controller"...

I use a Windows XP Corporate CD with SP3 slipstreamed in there. I copied the SATA drivers on a floppy disk and use the F6 option to load the SATA drivers. I was able to select the correct driver, then proceed with the installation a little and then get a BSOD:

    Stop: 0x0000007B (0XF78D2524M, 0XC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)

Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?

    Hello!

    > Any ideas on what I am doing wrong?
Yes, you have downloaded the wrong driver.

This BSOD is a known problem, then you can also find an article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base.
    http://support.Microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3ben-us%3B324103&x=8&y=14

Then take a look at the Intel Web site again and download another driver.

    Good bye

  • Hard drive failure 45 G50

I got my Lenovo G50 45 less than 8 months, the hard disk is turned off, no help from technical support, they tried to talk me through my problem to help me recover my computer, for $199.00. I had our ITT man at work check it out, he told me that he had disappeared. Did a search for Lenovo tech support side, there is nothing worse. I would consider even NEVER buy another Lenovo.

Don't know what to do with this laptop useless now!

Just thought that I would let you know all, I tried and tried to get my hard drive problem all solved with Lenovo, WITHOUT help! For example, one of my friends told me that should communicate with Western Digital. I think, what the hell! I have contact with them with NO waiting! BUT they went out of their way to remove the OEM label on my hard drive and sent me a new hard drive (in the week) I never will not hesitate to buy Western Digital products again!
