HP g6 1b60us apu upgrade?

I was hoping to upgrade my laptop an a4 amd apu - 3300 m to an amd a8 - 3500 m. The two apu uses 35watts and fs1 decision-making. APU is not persevered to the Board of Directors. I don't care about voiding my warranty if I have one, I bought my computer. Would it still work? My system could do?

Data sheet:

HP g6-1b60us charcoal grey 15 ", windows 8 x 64

AMD a4 - 3300 m to 1.9 Ghz with Turbo (automatic overclocking up to 2.5 Ghz)

1 x 4 GB ram card

hard drive 500 GB

BIOS version f.46

By comparing your g6-1b60us (Maintenance and Service of Guide) MSG MSG g6-1d60us... Below, we see that all items in Green are the same for both systems. The Red shows the differences in the GSM. We also know the the 1b60us g6 and g6-1d60us use the same BIOS F.48, as you pointed out earlier. After reviewing the MSGs, I confirmed a set of maps of common system and a common BIOS, so I am confident that the processors listed in the g6-1d60us MSG should work in your g6-1b60us without a problem. As usual, there is no guarantee of it being reliable at 100% and you assume all risk for the installation of a non-usine CPU in your computer.

  • Satellite L775D-S7220 = APU Upgrade and speakers

As the title says, I have a L775D-S7220. I have a new APU coming for her.

    The currrent model is an A4 - 3300M. I'll install an A8-3510MX.

I know the increased NT, from 35W to 45W and am fine with that.

My main concern is the BIOS has the trendy 3510 or not so I can just plug and play. If not, can someone tell me where I can get an open or cracked BIOS version to revise it to allow the new chip?

In addition, thanks to my ex, the speakers on my laptop are slaughtered. I can't find replacement ones anywhere. Can someone give me a hand with this as well?

    Thanks in advance!

    >... can someone tell me where I can get an open or cracked BIOS version to revise it to allow the new chip?
We are here on Toshiba official support forum, so I put t think that these things are allowed. Any type of upgrade, except the RAM or HARD/SSD drive, is not taken in charge and everything you do is at your own risk.

What about speakers? Good place to find spare parts is eBay. Check if you can find speakers out there. In the past, I found several parts used on eBay for my older Satellite phone.

Please help me so I don't lose money on the wrong PU

PS When I buy a PU come with thermal paste?

    Here is the Service Manual:

    Manual

It's the best processor that accepts your motherboard:

    AMD A8 - 3520 M 2.50 GHz processor (1.6 GHz Front - Side Bus (FSB), 1333 MHz/4,0 MB L2 cache, quad core, 35 W)

You have the best second processor an A6 - 3420M. He would bump you to AMD 6520 M 6620 M AMD graphics card. It's an APU; the video is embedded in the processor.

The upgrade of the processor is a major task. I'm not sure it will be worth the effort. Gains will be very large. However, the processor is cheap:

  • Want 700: The upgrade of the APU

    Hello

Recently purchased a product of envy 700 series, and I would like to do an upgrade. It came stock with AMD Quad-Core A10-6700 APU AMD Radeon HD graphics 8670D.

It runs all the last generation games that I downloaded with ease, but struggles to run the latest games.

Some tips which direction to go? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

Without changing the power supply, then find a NVIDIA GTX 750 model that does not require a PCI-E auxiliary power connector.  The NVIDIA GTX 750 is a very good graphics card for most of the games.

If you are looking for more performance than the NVIDIA GTX 750 then the NVIDIA GTX 970 and a 600 Watt power supply would be more adequate for almost all of the newest games.

  • APU and g6 HP Pavilion RAM upgrade

    Hello!

I have a few questions about the upgrade of my laptop.

    I have HP Pavilion 1203sy g6, it has 1.9 GHz AMD Dual-Core A4 - 3300M APU with Dual GPU Radeon HD 6480 G and 6 GB of DDR3 RAM.

I want to replace my A4 3300 M with AMD A8 3530MX or 3550MX APU. Is this possible? I can't find information on my motherboard system information, so I don't know if AMD A8 will be compatible with my motherboard.

A friend also told me that a more powerful processor would have higher thermal efficiency and some laptops have their CPU soldered to the motherboard. Then it would be possible and safe to upgrade my A4 to A8 APU?

And last, what is the maximum amount of RAM I can install on my laptop?

    Thanks in advance

A8 3520 M is not listed, I don't know if your Board of Directors will be compatible with this one. Forget the money, I will not risk putting anything other than those listed in my room. Yes, you are right that there is no difference between them except for the slight difference in frequency speed & turbo Basic.

But if you take risks, & if it don't work out, then you must go to the disassembly & Assembly again.

  • B5Z56UA #ABA: the upgrade of the apu in laptop

I CAN PUT in A A10 apu in this laptop one of my friends say that the motherboard will not accept it, so I see if I can.

The A10 - 4600M would fit into the motherboard. There is a big job and not be tempted by chance. The above manual is a necessity. You should achieve a significant update in the calculation of power and a modest increase in video power. You would be upgrading both the traditional "processor" and the video "card."

Based on my new, both processors we socket FM1 uPGA. This would be possible without upgrading of power, and how the new APU would affect my computers preformance? My current APU is clocked at 2.6 ghz, while the new 3.0 ghz.

    Herrmant, welcome to the forum.

    @juxone

On AMD models, the processor is supplied with the card system and cannot be deleted.

    Your manual here.

You must replace the Board of the entire system.

The second manual from the following link will answer your questions. You can find the first response to the #1 page. Please note that you should check the BIOS before upgrade CPU. For the second question, no part available for your machine (page #45) which means no connector allows you to connect all the lights of a backlit keyboard.

  • Pavilion g6 2213sa: upgrade of the APU - computer laptop won't start

I recently bought an APU A10 - 5750M on eBay with the intention to replace the A8 - 4500M in my 2213sa. I saw some videos on YouTube of people doing this with HP laptops so I know it's possible, but for some reason any, that he doesn't let me do on this laptop.

    Why not?

Oh and just as a note, it's not because the motherboard was short-circuited or anything, because it lights up. Just died not much later. The display also lights.

Also, I put the old APU inside and it works very well with it there. As far as I know, there is not any new update of the BIOS for this laptop, so I don't know why it does not start.

It does not start because it is not compatible. You need A10 - 4600M.

    See p. 1:

    Repair manuals

You are invited to come here and ask what processors are compatible rather than Youtube.
