  I think with SSD, you shouldn't have any problems. I updated my old P500 with 250 GB Samsung 840 SSD and it works perfectly.

  I have a Satallite L500. I have problems with my sound.

  I think that your L500 supports the Realtek audio driver.
  My unit with Realtek audio chip has a manager of its installed Realtek, which is located in the Panel!

  Check the settings there.
  In Realtek Manager of its label of speaker on the right, you will find analog and digital outlets.

  in the drop-down menus, select "Windows 7 (64 bit)" and "drivers." Download the AMD display driver and the xHC AMD driver and install them.

  Since it is an APU (CPU + GPU), everything is linked together in a single chip. I'm not really sure of what is included in the xHC driver, but the best I could find is that it is similar to the chipset driver.
