Error: Bios replace battery WARNING

Bought my laptop in January 2012 and now my battery is dead. I know that batteries wear out over time but not like what happened to mine. It lasted me 3.5hrs when new, but dropped to 20-15 minutes and after a time of two weeks, he was dead. I started having boot Bios warnings on requiring the replacement of the battery. I think I got a bad battery because it's ridiculous.

What should I do?

With adapters, it can be strange situations where it would be the laptop to power but not to charge the battery. You're right, there may not be anything wrong with the adapter, but if you were to call HP Total Care to replace they would have to follow a few steps to narrow things down and make sure that it's the battery. These steps can be found HERE.

I don't want to sound like I'm saying it's not the battery, it could definitely be a defective battery and we want to honor the warranty of your device. If you wish to contact HP Total Care to ask for a replacement of parts for a computer under warranty you can reach technical support in English at 1-800-474-6836.

Good luck to you, guggli. I sincerely hope that everything works.

  • Strange behavior of TM2 recharge battery - only charges when almost dead

    Hi people,

I have a new 2200 TM2T who exhibits some strange behavior of battery charge.  When plugged in, the battery will say "connected, charge", but the battery does not charge at all, no matter how much time he has left in (reported remaining level remains the same).  However, if I leave the battery discharged completely, it will start loading again, all the way up to 100%.

  • iPad Air could not turn it on. Genius Bar called a "dead unit.

Our meticulously cared for iPad Air we paid about $600 for 3 years it is abruptly stopped working last week. He was accused beautiful a day of work at 100% and would not regain power on the other.

I initially it swept and plugged back in another take and gave him more than 24 hours to recharge. It is still not responding liked when trying to power on. I followed all the instructions online for the buttons power / home - try another loader on my iMac.

Finally, I called the Apple store and make an appointment - thinking that it should be a simple solution / cheap. HA!

The employee brought to the rear to run a test on it and back 5 minutes later to tell us there is no "common" found "is a unit of the dead". He said "it's irreparable, so your options are here" (pulling up the new iPads prices). Confused, I asked ' well... What is wrong with him? The battery? We can not just difficulty it?'. He said it could be the battery, a problem with the connector - anything, but said that it would cost $300 to fix, then we might as well just buy a new. He also said "you might be able to sell it for not much online, but I don't know what the retail value is a dead unit". Great customer service.

Here, I thought that I invest in a good quality unit, shelling out the extra for 64 GB, etc. seemed worth it. Well, I can not yet wrapped my head around to be able to justify the replacement of something that can stop just "inexplicably" working on a coin, and there is nothing they can do.

The unit is, by your admission, 3 years old, two years outside of the manufacturer's warranty. • Satellite Pro 4290: dead on AC, OK on battery

    Hello

I posted this comp.sys.laptops, but without response. I just found this forum. I hope someone here has an idea...

    Here's the problem:

My trusty old Satellite Pro 4290 has started to work only intermittently on current alternative - jiggling the power connector would operate. I assumed that 7 years to plug or unplug the adapter had declined the articulation and cracked welding. So, I opened, removed enough course of the joints power connector and the motherboard had cracked on the underside of the motherboard. a quick bit of welding and it was good as new, or so I thought...

However, when he was all wound up, I had * no. * power at all - no green power light, and it was quite dead. I installed a battery and it worked fine - but it's only a very short-term solution since the battery is not recharging because there is no AC!

    I have:
    * put a voltmeter on the output of the adapter sector; Stable 15.25V.
    * put a voltmeter on the side of the motherboard from the power connector; Stable 15.25V.
    * put a voltmeter on various points of motherboard on the ground; Stable 15.25V.
    * disassembled and re-assembled 3 times to check the spleen connectors etc.
    * starts in Windows (XP Pro) and Linux (PCLinuxOS 2007) - two related works on battery only and not charging
    * Google for a manual technique/diagram without success

The Council seems to be powered and now, I'm stumped. The laptop don't owe me anything - it is 7 years and its 3 ^ rd ^ battery, 2 ^ nd ^ food and 3 ^ rd ^ hard drive! There is no need to spend a lot of money on, but if it is something simple that I'm missing I would really like to get it working again.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Andrew Woodward

    Hello Andrew

I'm sure that nobody here can give you precise response and accurate instruction how to fix this. It seems that you have very good technical knowledge and you know that you cannot do much without exact schematic manual. Unfortunately, maintenance manuals is not the public act and I'm really skeptical, you'll be able to find it somewhere.

In your case, it may be just power supply electronics issue. What you can do is check the eBay from time to time and try to get the new motherboard.

  • Recharge iPhone reboot loop 6 Plus

    Good evening

My iphone is in a loop of recharging and resetting.

I'll try to describe everything, so please read the question completely.

Tonight in out of work below 0 time, my iphone is dead.

I went back inside and put my iphone on the charger.

It took some time, but he began to start. Immediately after the splash screen, she flashed the screen lock briefly and then shut down again.

    1. I can't do a restore, the iphone is not long enough to unlock and liaise with the computer.

    2. I tried 2 different usb cords, all usb ports on my computer and 1 wall charger.

    3. it will from time to time, it will show the screen lock for about 5-10 seconds. Enter 3% fresh, then possible to 1% then stop.

    4. the battery has warmed, and it is currently the room temperature.

    5. Since the decision to restart is about 30 seconds to 1 min.

Advice or suggestions, please let me know. I'm in serious trouble here because it is a working phone.

According to Apple, this condition is temporary.

If you're desperate, a DFU restore usually recover the phone but you will lose all your data:

    • Install the latest version of iTunes on your computer, if it is already there ((you must have Windows 7 or later or OS X 10.8.5 version or later version)
    • Restart your computer
    • Disable any antivirus and firewall
    • Launch iTunes
    • Connect the cable of the device to a USB port on the computer (not a USB hub), but DO NOT CONNECT to the DEVICE AGAIN
    • Press in and hold the HOME and SLEEP at the same time for 10 seconds exactly, buttons until the screen goes black, then release the SLEEP button but continue holding the HOME button. If the Apple logo appears then that now the two buttons, you who was held for too long; start over.
    • While holding down the button HOME connect the other end of the cable to the device
    • You should see a message in iTunes saying there were a phone in recovery mode (it can take up to a minute for the message appears). When you see this message release the HOME button and the device must be restored. When asked DO NOT restore a backup. set up as a new phone.

Try several times, if this does not work the first time; It is difficult to do in DFU mode.

  • Satellite L300D begins only after the battery has been drained and recharged

I have a satellite L300D that has a problem at startup. Last week, it closed but got stuck on the "Disconnect" screen for a long time. Finally I manually turn it off by holding down the power button. Don't think no more of him it happened sometimes with my computers. However, when I went to turn it back on - it was nothing. Power lights came to the front of the computer, but not to screen at all. Could not even access the BIOS. Nothing. It was like that for several days.

Tried all the common solutions - removed battery, disconnect the power supply and press the power button - still nothing. Tried w/o - just AC, just the battery. Even stripped down to the motherboard to see if I could remove the CMOS battery and reset the CMOS but it is soldered on the motherboard. Put all back together, still nothing.

Finally, I had to recharge my cell phone using a USB adapter and given that the computer had power I tried the usb port and it worked (for example, I could charge the phone - still no screen on the computer). The computer's battery is dead and I plugged it in. That evening, after the battery was full, I tried the computer and it has perfectly worked. Started correctly, shut it down, restarted and it was fine. Unplugged this night there and reconnected again in the morning and... nothing. Just a black screen. No BIOS.

Killed the battery again then reloaded and now my computer is working again.

Any ideas on what could cause this problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey Buddy,

In my opinion her only the only one you can is update the BIOS like Akuma suggested. This problem is not related software so that s the only option you have I think. You can download the latest version of the BIOS here:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > download drivers

If this is not the case, contact an authorized service provider please. Guys can fix all this hardware related problems can diagnose this problem. Maybe the motherboard or something else must be exchanged.

    Good luck! :)

  • Dead 4090CDS

I was using my Toshiba 4090CDS with the power adapter is plugged when all of a sudden he's dead! I swithched back on and it turned on but after about 3 minutes, it does the same thing again - I kept the passage back on until eventually it would will start. When I connect the charger it starts to charge the battery, but after two minutes that all the lights turn off and its completely dead and won't begin to recharge if I take the battery and put back in. And then all the lights turns off again after two minutes. It lights is no longer at all, any ideas what could be the problem?

    Hello

In the case that you have this problem just with battery it will be easy to say that the battery is defect. But if you have the same problem with an adapter, it is possible that the supply of electronic load is damaged.

The best way to check is to contact the Service of your country partner. You can find them on

  • My I Pad has gone completely dead. It is a model and just completely dead tw vertion. Anyone has an explanation please

My I Pad has gone completely dead. It is a version2model and just completely dead. Anyone has an explanation please! I turned on and off and the top (or at least gone through the process) charged no sign of life at all. ???

How long have you leave the charge for the iPad? It will take at least 30 minutes on the charger before an iPad with a completely dead battery react. Be sure to use the charger supplied with the iPad, or its equivalent. Do not recharge an iPad by connecting it to a USB port on the computer. After 30 minutes on the charger to reset the iPad. Press and hold the Home button and the sleep/wake button until the Apple logo appears. Then release the button and let the appliance restarts. You lose no data by doing this. It's like a restart of the computer.

If the unit still doesn't start not to make an appointment at an Apple store to have a technician look at your device. Or contact the Apple Support.

  • Dead Zire 21 - new battery need? How to disassemble?

Hello everyone, I'm new to this forum. Hope you can help me a bit with my little experience of Palm.

I had a Palm Zire21 that has some problems with turning the power on. It does not seem to load. At least, I couldn't find any screen it does. How can I check whether or not it requires? Should there be something visible on screen?

In addition, when it running on the power supply and the connection via USB to the computer it does not appear. I was expecting to see here when it is powered. So I think that the battery may be dead. Is this feasible? I tried to disassemble the appliance but do not know how. On the back there are two Torx screws. I can't release them. I have to? Otherwise, how can we separate the housing of the electrical inside without destroying?

Connect the power supply and leave your handheld on charge overnight. After recharging, let the pocket computer plugged into the power outlet and press the reset button several times on to see if the device turns on. If so, you should get a battery icon with a lightning bolt through it to indicate the battery is charging.

If your handheld turns on not following these steps, you can call Palm to set up a repair. The price to repair the Z21 by Palm is $ 75.00.

There are Internet sites that have spare batteries and some directions of the repair. Search for Palm zire21 battery.

For reference purposes, click the following link to the support page for your device on the kb.palm.com Web page.
