HP Jet 11: Norwegian keyboard

I took his retirement to Key West, but family and friends are in Norway and Europe. I need a keyboard of composition to write comfortably in Norwegian or in other European languages. Can I buy a Stream 11 with Norwegian keyboard here in the USA, or buy a replacement keyboard and have a computer repair to install it?

@Seamusg

HP PartSurfer didn't.

This site has, but it is in Europe.

This site also has.

I couldn't find it listed on Ebay.

Sorry, but you have only a few options.

First of all, e-mail addresses are not case sensitive, you don't have to enter a capital letter.

If you do not want to enter capital letters, the 'Shift' key, is an arrow at the top, located to the lower left corner (similar to a regular keyboard). Tap once to get a single capital letter, a second touch for LOCKING of upper CASE mode.

  • Keyboard shortcuts in adobe CS6 Norwegians

I need the files for the Norwegians for CS6 keyboard shortcuts. I use Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator. (But first, Flash etc.). In CS4, I remember having a file in the program folder, so my shortcuts would work effectively on a Norwegian keyboard.

Does anyone have these files to send me?

Or can I change this in the program itself?

Yes, you can simply replace some resource files / directories, but I doubt that you will find someone here. I'm sure you'll have better luck on a Norwegian forum.

  • How to change the keyboard shortcuts?

    Problem:

Keyboard shortcuts as increase and decrease brush size by Cmd + [and command +] (and many others) only works on English American keyboards. The hooks on the Swiss German keyboard are accessible by Alt + 5 for [Alt + 6].

Cmd + Alt and Alt + Cmd + 5 and 6 do not work as expected.

On the keyboard of the SG are at the position where you will find on the US keyboard [and] the letters o on the [position and a on the] position.

    (a) where I can change this , the Swiss German, keyboard Cmd + ö, u and Cmd are used as decrease or increase in the size of the brush?

    (b) Solution for future releases:

    • Adobe developers should get rid of verification of the special functions in ASCII code. Isn't is no longer using the ASCII code for special functions.
    • It is for each key on the keyboard as a code Scan, which is independent of the language, region, and keyboard settings.
    • The problem is, that the world, the community of developers is to use keyboards french and put on the page, so they have unfortunately never aware this problem.

If you check special functions by scan code instead of the ASCII code, this problem will no longer exist. For example, the analysis codes for Cmd + o - US keyboard is Cmd + [-is ALWAYS the same, independent of the keyboard settings or any other language or country.]

Scan the code = return code independent of the keyboard, it's a kind of 'coordination' of the button pressed

ASCII or Unicode = depends on keyboard, character on the "xy" scan code position key is returned and it's different for each keyboard layout.

Please pass on to the developers.

    Cheers & CU,.

You can create your own shortcuts under Edition > hotkeys (probably in the menu of Photoshop on Mac).

I have a Norwegian keyboard and have created several shortcuts with letters æ, o, a.

Shortcuts to increase/decrease brush size is under shortcuts for tools.

Is this an error in the image? What is a fix for this problem?

    Thx for any help

After many tests I found a solution:

    Disable EWF (Enhanced write filter)
    Go to the registry (Run\Regedit)
    Go to HKLM\Software\S3\S3HotKey\
Change EnableHotkey by setting the value from 1 to 0

    Validate changes and enable EWF

  • LR 4.2 - shortened to 'zoom in' alternative?

    Hello

I have a problem with the shortcut "zoom in" in LR 4.2.

Officially the shortcut for "zoom" is supposed to be "Ctrl +=", but I can't type this directly, because equality is on top of the zero on my keyboard (German), i.e. in order to type "=" year I need to type "Shift + 0".

But when I type 'Ctrl + Shift + 0 "nothing happens.

When I type "Ctrl + 0" histogram collapses / expands (it allows to switch between the two). "."

I don't know if on a U.S. keyboard, you can directly type the '=', but I have the feeling, it's like that. So, is there an alternative to zoom for foreign keyboards? (and: why isn't the "Ctrl + +' used as in most other programs...?")

    Thank you

    Plasma2k

    Hello

I had the similar, but with a Norwegian keyboard problem. The = is on 'Shift + 0' on a Norwegian keyboard as well.

I fixed that by applying a new keyboard shortcut for the zoom in action in a rather cumbersome way.

By default, there are mappings of alternative keyboard available if you use a specific version of Lightroom, or in German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Portuguese, Swedish or Chinese, but no Norwegian.

If you are running with the German "language pack" shortcuts for Zoom out should be "Ctrl + #" in the Mode of development and the default value "Ctrl +=" in library Mode.

It is all described in the files of linguistic resources, one for each of the mentioned languages.

They are located under the language-specific directories (, sp, en, jp and so on) in a directory of resources in the Lightroom folder. In my case the Lightroom moreover is C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2\, since I am running version 4.2 on Windows.

Since there is no Norwegian resources translation available for Lightroom I prefer to run with the English version. There is no specific English resources file or a folder, given that English is the default language of Lightroom.

But you can make one. So I did!

First, I created a new directory called 'fr' in the folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.2\Resources\, then I put a text file called TranslatedStrings.txt in this folder with the following contents:

    «$$$ / AgDevelop/Menu/View/zoom/Key = Cmd +.»
    «$$$ / AgLibrary/Menu/View/zoom/Key = Cmd +.»

    Nothing more.

This replaces the keyboard shortcuts for Zoom In to develop and library Mode on "Ctrl +". and let all the other shortcuts as the default shortcuts in the program.

(It says Cmd since it is the name of the CTRL key on Apple OSX, I guess). The "." key is right next to the "-" button on a Norwegian keyboard and has not been used for all the other shortcuts in the English version of Lightroom AFAIK.

If you use the English version of Lightroom, you can do it at any other shortcut you would like to change too. Look at some of the other TranslatedStrings.txt files in the folder resources from another language to learn to identify (for example $$$ / AgDevelop/Menu/View/ZoomIn/Key =) shortcuts that you want to change.

If you use Lightroom in one of the other supported languages, just change the file TranslatedStrings.txt corresponding to that language. Make sure that you create a backup copy of the file before editing.

When you install a new version of Lightroom, you must think to copy the file to the new installation, usually C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4.3\ for version 4.3 and so on.

Good luck! It will be useful.

    See https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Insert-ASCII-or-Unicode-Latin-based-symbols-and-characters-...

Small laptops (like the stream 11) have no keyboard.  But, given that the keys on the keyboard are really different, there should be a way to simulate a key on the keyboard.  I tried the modifiers 'fn' and 'alt' with regular keys.  No joy!

Well, I found a solution open source in the form of a keyboard emulator: https://sourceforge.net/projects/numpad-emulator

It dawned on me that this lack of emulation keyboard with small keyboards may not specific HP.  And, of course, there are solutions for general purposes.  I tried the emulator above and it works great!  Just thought I'd post the solution for the case where someone else the problem my original question.

  • Jet 7 keyboard missing keys?

Surprised to not have an "Escape" key, which is pretty standard on keyboards.  I can't live without the function keys, but that Esc is used by a lot of program.

Someone at - it a good work around?

(PS: everybody don't miss his auto of the iPad or power off when you open the screen?  Someone at - he missed a physical key of Windows, which use many other tablets as another switch, and as a way to get multiple hidden orders?)

You can change a more complete keyboard. Bring up the keyboard and press the button at the bottom right (it has a symbol of KB with an arrow downwards). From left to right, the choices are Default, Split, pen, and advanced options. You can switch k whenever you like, even in the middle of writing.

The advanced Ko is almost complete, lack only the keys Home and end, but you easily perform these actions with a tap on the screen.

  • HP Office jet 4635: help! Characters special keyboard

Help! I just moved and trying to setup a wireless printer to print from my phone/tablet, but the password for my new wi - fi contains these special characters: +,?, =. My keyboard does not display these options for enter the password so I can't connect. How to enter or may enter a password that contain these special characters?

    Hey @KristenMC,

I understand that you have some problems with your Officejet 4635 e-all-in-one printer connection to your new router. I can help you with that.

Special characters are located on the Star (*) and pound (#) key. If you press one of these keys they will scroll many special characters. If you make a mistake, then you can press the buttons arrow to go back a back space.

  • Jet 7 Tablet 5709: HP Jet 7 touch screen does not work in Windows even if it works in the BIOS menu advanced starup

Less than two months ago, I upgraded my HP Jet Windows 7 to 10. Over time some questions popped up (random apps that could not be opened, etc.) so I decided to do a full reset, deleting the files from the user. Once the 'install' process is complete he brought me to the initial configuration for Windows 10 screen, asking me my keyboard and language preference. He would not accept any contact entry. I rebooted it and he went to the advanced configuration where I could use the touch screen to do a complete reset. That has not changed anything. I found the info on the HP website and did a reset of the BIOS. That has not changed anything. I got an OTG cable, but was not able to get a keyboard work. I did, however, get a mouse works and has managed to create a new user and login. However, the touchscreen does not work in Windows. I was able to get into the settings and looked at the Device Manager settings. There was only a mouse driver listed under Human Interface. I also noticed a number of question marks in the subtopic of the processor drivers.

I was able to use the OTG cable to try to re - install Windows 10 from a USB key. When a similar initial settings (language, keyboard) screen broke, I couldn't use the touchscreen. Later, I created a USB with Windows 8.1 thinking he might have a better chance. The same problem. He does not touch inputs. And with a key USB installed via the OTG cable, I can't launch a mouse at the same time.

It is strange that I have not the problem in the BIOS or advanced startup options. It seems that there is a corruption somewhere, but how do I fix?

    Hello Moronihah,

You did a clean install (delete all files and programs) the 2nd time you reinstalled Windows 10?

That's what you need to do first.

Then, you have to go to the HP website and install the drivers on your USB.

Above all, you need to include the Goodix Touch Controller Driver and pilot, allowing Malta G-Sensor.

    HP Software and Driver Downloads

You're using a hub 4 ports with your OTG cable? Which will allow you to use the mouse, the keyboard and the entire USB drive.

  • Satellite M70 - down keyboard when the HARD drive gets hot

My Satellite M70-181 begins typing "t" series when you reach the working temperature. In my case, if the HARD disk exceeds a temperature of 48-50 ° C (speedfan).
I replaced the original Travelstar with a new HDD Samsung, but it becomes so hot that precedes it and the blackout keyboard still appears.
Because the processor is idle most of the time, the fan is too slow. But the fan doesn't seem to affect the temperature of the HARD drive in any case.
Any ideas anyone? (Sorry for this kind of English...)

    Frank

    Hello

Have you noticed this problem with keyboard only when the temperature is raised to a higher level?

To be honest, I have never experience this problem and I can't believe that a higher temperature of HARD drive could affect the functionality of keyboard

However, maybe you should clean the grids and the cooling fans. The notebooks are clogged with dust and don t cooling modules work properly.
Use a jet of compressed air which should help to remove dust, I think this should help to reduce the internal temperature.

  • Satellite R830 - keyboard button problem:

Our Toshiba Satellite R830 has a temperament H key. If you press the left side of the key, it works very well. If you press the right side, this isn't. All other keys are fine. This could be the result of debris?

Is it easy to jump off the key and pop it back on again?

Well, what you can do is remove the CAP button and check the box under the hood
You can use a jet of compressed air to remove dust (if available).
But I think that its some mechanical problem, the point is that the simple buttons cannot be replaced, you can replace the plugs, but not the button so you will need to replace the entire keyboard to get it repaired.

  • Pavilion 550-122nd: mouse and wireless keyboard do not work before Windows starts (10)

The wireless keyboard and mouse (that came with the computer) do not work until Windows is started.

I want to make a (ghost) image of my hard drive using the boot CD Norton ghost 15.0 (but it also applies to other bootable devices).

When the CD boots and the program starts I have to click a button (OK / accept) to continue. At this point the wireless keyboard and mouse are not active jet. This is why I can't continue.

Use a USB keyboard gives the same result (also not active at this point).

Is there a solution / work around for this?

    Thank you.

On the pilots seems plausible. Especially because on my laptop (older) with Windows 10 CD bootable (like Norton Ghost) don't Duke keyboard and mouse.

I'll have a look at the new version of the BIOS and start looking for new tools that will accept my keyboard (and mouse).

    Thank you.
