HP laptop 15-AC144ND: upgrade of HP wireless laptop 15 Module
Hello!
I bought a laptop HP 15-AC144ND. Now, this laptop came shipped with the Realtek RTL8188EE Wireless, which does not meet my needs (No. 5 Ghz or Bluetooth). So, I read in the service manual (LINK), there is compatibility with the Intel 3165 AC module. Someone did he do this upgrade? Can someone confirm me that the machine will work with this module without giving me a BIOS error?

G6R35UAR #ABA: can I upgrade the card wireless 802.11ac
Please let know us if it is possible to upgrade the card wireless in my laptop to a 802.11ac card. A currently installed 802.11b/g/n card.
My PC is a HP Pavilion 17 laptop.
G6R35UAR #ABA product name
Thank you.
There is no white list. Here is the Service Manual:
See p. 96
You have the 17 inch model and for the 15-inch model AMD HP actually an AC card. This one:
2x2HMC AC + BT4 Broadcom BCM 4352 WLAN 802.11 for HP Pavilion 15 AMD computer models available for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 724935-005
It is an equivalent spare card sold on amazon.com:
The card would work for you, but I have to warn you that the installation is no easy thing. It requires extensive disassembly and will jeopardize the warranty. You should not try to install an Intel card as they are called does not play nice with AMD computers. The Broadcom will be your best bet.
If you have questions let us know.
If it's 'the Answer' please click on 'Accept as Solution' to help others find it.

Hi, I just got a pavilion dv2-1030ea as a gift and I want to upgrade the card wireless to a version N (only comes with B and G compatible card), but on some sites, he pointed out that not all wireless mini pci-e cards do work with computers laptops hp.
is this always true? If so what cards are supported? also if this is the case how can I remove this restriction? IMHO, I should be able to use my computer as I see fit, not how the manufacturer decides is acceptable.
Thanks in advance for any info
Harry

Toshiba Stack BT Wireless 360 Bluetooth Module - remote installation
Hi all
I try to install the battery Bluetooth Toshiba Wireless 360 Bluetooth Module via RIS image.
Server operating system = 2K 3, portable OS XPSP2 =
I tried to save an answer file: it will not!
I tried to wwrite one - he will not use it!Someone out there must be and able to deploy this software with RIS.
What is the answer? Please?
Girltekki
Hi Girltekki,
you need a file to answer for when you do an install LAUGH? RIS deploys a software image with all already installed software.
If you do not all of your software in the picture already but spread your software separately then has nothing to do with an RIS installation. So please do not confuse the community ;)See you soon,.
Barry.
PS:
If you want to figure out how to do an automated/silent installation of your BT stack:
When you run the executable to install BT a new, rather cryptic folder will appear in C:\. This is the BT installation files extracted. These files include a "silent_install.bat" and a "AS.silent.ini" which is rather cryptic. Unfortunately, there is no additional documentation.
Good luck! -
Hello, I had problems updating my Qualcomm Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n dual band Wireless Network driver Module. I looked as hard as I could to find out how to determine the number of chipset, but no cigar. I even took a peek inside my computer to see if I could find something, but that was of no use. The Atheros Wireless Diagnostics utility tells me I have the wrong driver installed (there is 99.9% chance it was my fault). Here is a part of the diagnosis result: installation of the test pilot
This test is to check the installation of the radio driver.
Radio registry keys are OK.
NIC name.... : Qualcomm-Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n Dualband Wireless Network Module
The driver... name: ATHRX
... Driver path: C:\WINDOWS\\SystemRoot\System32\drivers\athrx.sys
Version of the driver...:This is the first string under the ID of material for my Qualcomm Atheros 802.11 a/b/g/n dual band wireless network Module: PCI\VEN_168C & DEV_002A & SUBSYS_1000168C & REV_01.
Hello:
I have compressed upward and attach the file atheros.cz that you need (under attachments below).
Note that it is only good for W8 and older, so it may not work on W10.
I also read a post from another Member of the forum, which wants to install W10 where MS W10 compatibility checker reports that the wireless card you have is not supported.
So... try this and if it works, unfortunately, you will need to get a new wireless card. I suggest you only watch on maps wireless dual band usb external.
Download and uncompress the file that I attached to his record.
Go to Device Manager and click on the network controller needing drivers.
Click the driver tab. Click on set to update driver. Select her browse my computer for driver software option and navigate to the driver folder, that you unzipped.
Make sure that the include subfolders is selected and see if the pilot goes like this.
The hardware ID you posted is present in the driver installation information file.

The upgrade of the wireless in my 4320 s card
I live in England and have a probook 4320 portable s, product code XX826EA #ABU with a wireless card not compatible with my new network running Wireless N to 5 GHz.
my network card is Ralink RT3090 802.11 b/g/n WiFi Adapter.
Is it possible to replace my current card with one that would allow me to connect to my network at full speed instead of 54mbs and if so where specifically do I need?
Hi, Kenny:
Upgrade of a card in a HP laptop wireless, it's nothing less than a nightmare. It's a little easier on the business models, then you have chance but not completely safe...
Here is the link to the service manual. I couldn't do that to download support and driver page.
http://www.manualowl.com/m/Hewlett-Packard/ProBook-4420s/manual/105970
Wireless cards supported with HP part numbers are in Chapter 3 begins on page 3-26 of the manual.
Cards dual band...
Intel Centrino Advanced N 6200, HP part # 572510-001. (40,66 GBP)
Intel WiFi LInk 6200, HP part # 572509-001. (43,52 GBP)
You can purchase a card online from HP on the link below:
http://h20141.www2.HP.com/hpparts/default.aspx?mscssid=EBF60ADD3B4D4DF2B5DF89B85B9D824A
You can buy only one card in the maintenance manual and it MUST have the HP part # on it, or it won't work.
So, if you decide to go around, check to the map you get is made specifically for HP with this number of the piece on the subject, or your laptop will not RELEASE yet.

HP Pavilion 15-P117NA: can I upgrade my card wireless 5 GHz?
I was looking to replace our old router bthomebub router TP Link Archer VR900 3, which is a failure from time to time. I noticed 5 GHz speeds, that was quick and I made him watch in get the router. The only problem is that my laptop does not seem to support 5 GHz and I was wondering where I could get a 5 GHz compatible or a Wifi adapter card compatible ac. What would you recommend for my laptop? The driver I have installed is Realtek RTL8723BE 802.11 bgn Wi - Fi adapter which is located under Network adapators in the Device Manager. The driver version is 2023.15.701.2015, which says that the driver hp support Assistant is the latest version.
Here is the Service Manual:
See p. 86. Access to the wi - fi card you must remove the top cover, a process involving probably 30 + screws and other fasteners.
You have an Intel processor, so you can get an Intel wireless card. A better out there is the model of 7260ac of Intel:
There is not a 'white list' on your laptop so that you can install any adapter Wi - fi using the exact number of antennas and with the right form factor. The 7260ac linked above might work. Open the top cover will jeopardize the warranty, if any.
If it's 'the Answer' please click on 'Accept as Solution' to help others find it.

HP Pavilion dv6-2150er: upgrading RAM. Looking for my laptop-compatible modules.
Hello.
I have now 2 x (2 Gb PC3-10700 667 MHz Hyundai Electronics - Hynix DDR3), CPU - Intel Core i5 520M, 2.40 GHz, motherboard - 3659 of Hewlett-Packard.
You want to upgrade.
Two questions:
1 is it true that my laptop is unable to operate with more than 8 GB of RAM, otherwise true - how much RAM can work with?
2. If the 8 GB is the limit, what model of modules of RAM, can I use with my laptop?
Thank youI'm not 100% sure but the density RAM module is perhaps different from the original tracks:

win8 home premium to pro upgrade, says Intel wireless driver is not compatible
I have a new desire 4 with Windows 8 home preium ultrabook installed. I am trying to install the Windows Pro upgrade, who refuses to continue because my wireless software is invalid for Windows 8. I installed a later version on the Intel website, makes no difference. I tried to remove the offending software and restart and still objects.
Thanks for the tip, Paul. I've never had this problem with an upgrade of Windows before. I think that really he should let me come up with it and just warn me that he thinks that there is a problem. I see that I am not alone - this is someone with a Dell - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-windows_install/unable-to-install-windows-8-pro-due-to/cf6e74c5-caa3-4089-a056-c55f4e64703d. Anyone here with a Sony Vaio - http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-hardware/unable-to-install-windows-8-sony-vaio-vpceh-when-i/0103bfaf-b2ea-4e80-90ca-69b9fea944cf. Intel suggests to remove all the Wifi drivers before moving on to Win 8 (http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-033854.htm). The instructions are here - http://www.intel.com/support/wireless/wlan/sb/CS-030416.htm. He suggested deleting the app settings, which I don't. My solution was simple - I was really taking the wrong approach. I wanted to spend 8 Win Home Premium to Win 8 Pro and I was using the Windows 8 Pro pack which includes the 32-bit versions and 64-bit disk. They are intended for upgrading from a previous version of Windows to people. I need to take a different approach and "add features to Windows 8", which does not require a disc, as all features are already in 8 Win Home premium, they just need to be unlocked. All's well that ends well, as they say!

The upgrade of the wireless in the dv 7212nr envy card
Hello
I m thinking to update my WiFi card, I have the one supplied with the notebook, I think that its range is very limited, because my sister has a computer dell laptop a lot older than me and the wifi range is better elsewhere (dell 17r of 2011).
I would like to know what wireless card would be better for me, I need to have a wider range of wifi, I have these two in mind:
Intel® Centrino® Ultimate - N 6300, dual band
Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260
Kind regards!
Dar7 wrote:
so, which one do you recommend me, the Intel® Centrino® Ultimate - N 6300, dual-band or the Intel® Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260?
If you do not plan a new router AC or N900 get Intel Centrino 6235. It's a bluetooth/wifi combo. 6300 is just chip wireless and 7260AC needs a new ready router from HQ to get the advantage of the speed of the AC.

Upgrade of Cisco Wireless Controller 4402
We have a 4402 WLAN controller with a bunch of AP in 6 locations. The software is installed on a Windows Server 2003 server - since our society must be in accordance with various compliance agencies, we are in the process of getting rid of all 2003 servers in our infrastructure as they will be supported are more early next year.
I created a new server (2012 R2) and tried to install, but get the error that it is only supported on Server 2003 or Red Hat.
Is there a way to get this installed on one different platform other than 2003?
Thank you!
Yes, you can keep the same equipment (WLCs and AP).
I was just saying about upgradation WCS to the CNS / prime infrastructure
NCC/WCS are just a management for wireless LAN controllers APs. so if you change the WCS to the CNS, then it will affect any service.
