  Good so recently on my laptop of his fathers has ' key stopped working and now he cannot get on his laptop because the password has a S in there. He tried to clean the key to bored all possible ways, and nothing works. He wondered if he had a Ctrl function that would allow him to put a s with the key or bypass the password lock. Also, it has no access to a USB keybored.

  If the account in question was not the built-in account named Administrator, and then log on to that account and go to control panel > users to change the password.

  The password for the administrator built-in account is blank (no password).

  To connect to the built-in Administrator account:

  Reboot safe mode: press F8 immediately after power on.  The administrator account is displayed on the homescreen mode without failure.

  Hello. My sister got a laptop for Thanksgiving ' 09 and that she had abandoned for at least a year. Very recently, she tried to start, but she forgot her password. The user is the only user on the computer. I tried pressing F8 and go to repair or networking safe mode. I can't find another method that may work. She was getting upset because she thought she would never be able to use his cell phone again. The laptop is not a CD player, so I can't use a disk repair or a Windows 7 boot disk.   Because it doesn't have a DVD drive, there a recovery Partition on the hard drive to reinstall the operating system to how you bought your computer.

  The recovery process can be started by pressing a particular combination of the key or keys at startup. (Power on / start)

  Maybe it's F10, F11, Alt + F10, etc., depending on the manufacturer.

  Ask them to the proper key sequence.

  HPs are normally press F11 at startup to start the process of relocation.

  If you n t know the password you need to reinstall Windows.
  There are some informal means to clear the password, but it s not sure it would work. You can Google for it and maybe you'll find a good work around.

  If you mean the Toshiba Recovery Disc I sure this drive doesn t might have a virus of m.
