HP laserjet 2605dn: printing from mobile phone from samsung s5

I have an amazing dn 2605 that prints from all devices on a network except my fairly new samsung galaxy s5 wireless. The phone recognizes the printer and sends the image to it but the printer just print a solid black box instead of the image. Tried several different softwers impression of playstore but not those against hepatitis was able to resplve the issue. Contacted samsung support and they did everything as their possible but no results.
Last ifea is perhaps another driver but which? Where to download from?
I would be very grateful if someone could help me with this
Thanks in advance for a quick response.

I contacted HP support. Unfortunately, my pronter is too old and the phone is too recent. It is a problem of compatibility of clear material which cannot be filled on.

  • print from samsung galaxy tablet officejet 6600

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tablet of 8, which is connected to the same network as my Officejet HP6600.

I was able to click on the link (click here to print), and it printed correctly. However, if go to the Menu on the Tablet and click on print, I receive message (can only print on a printer from Samsung). I also had the Tablet find other devices on the net, and it does not find the printer. Please help me get this working.

    Hi placebow,

I can understand the frustration when you try to use an application or a function of the printer and cannot get it to work.

I have included a document on how to print from your Android device on a printer that does not have HP ePrint support.  It has step by step instructions to guide you through the process.

    Hi Mohammed Arif a. R,.

You can try to plug the printer again and check the updates of Windows and see if the drivers are install.

  • HP Color Laserjet 2605dn: Print is washed out/completely wilted on printer 2605dn

We have a Laserjet 2605dn HP color printer has intermittent printing problems. Most of the time, the quality of the printed output is very well, but from time to time, the print quality deteriorates completely. After a while, printing then returned back its normal quality.

The printer is on a network and serves as WIndows XP/7/8/10 and Linux machines as it has throughout his life. He has never had a genuine HP toner cartridges installed. It is not heavily used, we print usually less than 100 pages per week, often less.

The problem is that out of all the colors and black, gets so bad as to be unreadable. The printed output is so washed out it's (almost) impossible to read anything through the entire page. This can happen for all the pages of an entire document, but often it will print the first part of a multipage fine print job and then the quality deteriorates gradually to illegibility. Subsequent print jobs will also sometimes unreadable, but are also likely to print correctly. There seems to be trigger (that we can determine) this behavior or when it will happen well.

While the printer was used for a few years, he printed out a little more than 20 000 pages in total. This leads me to think that age should not be a problem. We replaced all the cartridges, tried recalibration, print cleaning pages, all without success. I found a solution for a problem of fading Magenta also requires cleaning the mirrors, but our problem is not that same as - everything fades to nothing in our printer, it is not a case of a single color fade a little, is much more radical than that.

Suggestions as to how we could solve this problem? Is there additional information that might help diagnose the cause and suggest a fix?

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

It looks like I won't get my hands dirty inside this printer after all. The boss decided it would probably be too annoying overall for me (US) to try to fix it. So he decided to buy a new color printer and remove it.

Thanks for the answers to my questions.

Now I just need to find how to mark it as "resolved", or otherwise close it, as appropriate in this forum.

  • Color LaserJet 2605dn printing black and white only

I have a Color Laserjet 2605dn, and all of the color ink cartridges have run dry. However the black cartridge has more than 2,000 pages of ink in the printer and it won't let me prink only black and white. It seems that the color cartridges must also have ink in them so that the printer to print. Does anyone know a work around so that I can print with the black cartridge and not buy color cartridges?

  • Why can I not print from my samsung Galaxy phone?

I can print from my iPad but my samsung s3 says I can only print to printers samsung, is this true? Due to an upgrade and the need to know if the samsung later would print to printers from the air.

    Hello

What is your printer? You can print from the iPad, which probably means that you can print from Samsung (or Android). Please use Google Store/Play to install "HP ePrint" or "HP AiO Remote" on your Samsung, and you should be able to print your Samsung.

    Kind regards.

  • Cannot get LaserJet M175nw print in a network

I just installed a new 100 Pro M175nw LaserJet printer on my network. However, I am unable to print over the network.

    • The printer is connected to an ethernet cable and configured with a static IP address on the network
    • I use a Windows 7 computer for printing
    • All of the internal functions of the printer work properly for example copy, reports
    • Printers when connected via USB to a computer

When you use the printer over the network:

    • Digitization of works correctly
    • The integrated mangement of the printer web page works correctly
    • HP Print & Scan Doctor diagnostic tests give the configuration all green ticks
    • Print jobs stay in the queue until they change to an error state.
    • The printer does not recognize the print job at all - no progress message indicating the print on the console document
    • If the printer is in mode 'sleep' it doesn't wake up
    • Print test pages from the installer of HP, the Windows printer properties dialog box, Acrobat Reader and MS Word all fail.
    • All the symptoms remain the same when I turn off the Windows Firewall
    • An another HP LaserJet 2605dn printer on the network will print correctly on a different IP address, but also using the raw format on port 9100.
    • I removed all the drivers for other HP printers in case there was a conflict - no change after you have reinstalled the software.

Can anyone suggest what I might have forgotten?  Thanks for your help.

    Problem solved.

    Critical steps seem to be:

    • I used the printer management web page (Networking / advanced) to "restore all network settings to their factory default values.
    • I then used the printer console to set the desired TCP/IP configuration - static IP, subnet mask, default gateway. No other changes.
    • The printer then worked correctly.
    • Later, I put the hostname and disabled all network services that I did not - like IPv6, Hello - and the printer continued to work properly.

The configuration of end result is identical to what I had until I can see - but it works now.

Thanks for your suggestions along the way.

  • Printing from a mobile phone

Hi, can someone give advice on how to connect and print from a Nokia E71 mobile phone (or any phone because I'm sure they'll be similar) for a wireless printer all in one, model HP B110a? Thanks in advance

It makes sense to load anything on your phone to do the job.  I'm not sure exactly what and how to get it.

Each device on a network has a different IP address, so no, your computer and your printer do not have the same IP address.  Print a Test of Config network from the front of the printer to find its IP address.

You will not want this IP change over time (as may be the case now).  It can occur a new IP if you lose power and the reset of your router and the printer.   To set a static IP address, follow these steps:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you know what it is, set an IP address outside this range but not exceeding 254 (the last number of the address). If you don't know it, enter the current IP address.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Let the gateway and DNS white. Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you may need to redo 'add printer' on your PC by using the new IP address.

  • Printing from phones Droid Bionic on HP Officejet 6700

I can not print photos from my cell phone Motorola Droid Bionic since the HP eprint has been updated.  I could print in the past.  My mobile phone and printer HP Officejet 6700 are on the same wireless network.  I have no problems printing wireless on my laptop or my Ipad.  The printer ejects a sheet of paper whenever I try to print from my phone.  All solutions?

    Hi Gailphoto,

Thanks for the quick reply and update.

Please try uninstalling and reinstall the application. You will need to reactivate the application when you reinstall. The activation code you received earlier will not work, you will need to request a new one.

  • having problems printing from the mobile application

Hi, I do not know if I am posting this in the right place, I'm new to this site. I have a HP laserjet p1102w and everything is connected. I'm having a problem, I am trying to print coupons from my iphone... I was able to print twice at two different times, but now its not picking up my printer from the app, saying that "sorry, no compatible printer not found. Please ensure that your printer is turned on and connected to your local wifi network". Can someone tell me why is happening... its like pickes upward when he wants to... Thank you'd be really grateful feedback...

    Hi Carol1043,

Welcome to the Forums of HP's Support.   I understand that when I try to print coupons from your iPhone your iPhone is not finding your Laserjet P1102w printer.

To better help you, can you please give some more information:

    1. What app you try printing, HP ePrint, the HP AiO app app, or a 3rd party app?
    2. You try to print using AirPrint from the app? AirPrint require the iPhone to be connected to the same network as the printer wireless. I have included the Apple AirPrint: The Apple Mobile Device shows work is printing but the printer does not print the document in the case where the printer and the iPhone are on the same network.
    3. Other problems of wireless with the printer?  In the affirmative, please click on the operating system and follow the steps outlined in the document of the printer is not maintaining the wireless connection .
    4. What operating system are you using on your computer?

    Thank you.
