HP Laserjet 4 L in Windows 7 64 bit Pro using a PCI card

I can't get my HP Laserjet 4 L to work under Windows 7 64 bit Pro. I installed a new parallel PCI card, device driver tells me he's working. I installed the printer driver 4L listed in Windows 7 Add a printer. Cannot print. I looked in the registry and have... amd64_prnhp002, 003 and 004 and 005 located in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/SideBySide/winners. I have to delete all these entries in the registry? Can someone give me instructions step by step to get my printer to work? Is the device driver indicates everything works.

File devices and printers probably associate the PCI card with your computer.  Right-click on the computer icon and look for the menu item printer properties.

If you have Pro or Ultimate, you can use the interface written by printmanagement.msc printing team, to manage local printers.

  • HP LaserJet 5000 support in Windows 7 64 bit

I recently bought a Dell laptop which has MS Windows 7 64-bit OS and I have an old Dell Desktop 4400 w/Windows XP I have a HP Laserjet 5000 printer is connected to the LPT1 Port.  I have the shared printer, and I can connect with my other laptop that has the MS Vista operating system.  I can't get my laptop which has Windows 7 connect and I have tried everything I can think. I connected to my laptop with Windows 7 and downloaded the latest driver on the HP Web Site.  The drivers for the LJ5000 are called universal drivers.  The drivers are installed on my W7 system and then I'll start/devices and printers and "Add a printer" option.  I select the 'look' in the network option and Windows looking for the shared Prnter and considers it.  I select the printer and it starts looking for the driver.  I think he's looking on the computer where the printer is connect anyway, it cannot find the driver.  I get a dialog box that says it cannot find and gives me the ability to navigate.  I then go to the universal driver I downloaded for HP5000 and I'm going to the folder that contains the files ".inf".  The program tells me it can't find the driver for HP5000.  What I am doing wrong?  Windows 7 supports the HP Laserjet 5000 printer.  I hope of course because I can afford to buy a new 11 "x 17" printer. "  There, can someone help me?  Thank you.

Try the following: on the Windows 7 machine go devices and printers folder, add a printer, a local printer, create a Port, Local Port, \\Computername\Printername (use the name of the actual share of the computer and the printer), OK, then click Windows Update, and then select the appropriate driver.

  • LaserJet 5 M and Windows 7 64 bit - duplex problem

I have a Laserjet 5 M Postscript with a duplex printing unit in my home network.

Windows 7 64-bit, the duplex printing option is not displayed.

    1. I reinstalled the driver - cool from MS
    2. I manually changed the ' properties/device settings' to indicate the duplex unit is "installed".   I have administrator privileges.
    3. I rebooted the machine.

However, under preferences - or for actual printing, under available - possibility of double-sided printing is not displayed.

    Any help will be appreciated.

My two machines from Vista (32 & 64 bit), with no problems, print double-sided on it.

Alright George. I have discussed this with my colleuges and we agree that this thread would be better suited in the business forum. Since it is a printer and we focus only on consumption patterns. We would do a disgrace to not send you over there.

  • Need printer driver HP laserjet 2100 for a Windows 7-64 bits of the operating system on your laptop Lenovo x 230.

No device driver is available on the HP site.  I have another Lenovo x220i running windows 7 (64-bit) that has loaded a driver laserjet 2100 and fine prints to this old workhorse printer.  I called HP and they are confused.

Hoping to finally put an end to this old question:

    1. don't get no drivers download driver at random sites.  You don't know what you really get and can end up with malware.

    2. many older HP printers, you can use the 'universal' HP driver (LIST OF PRINTERS supported), but I predict that you won't like it - if you can actually get to install.  Personally, I only use the universal driver HP as an absolute last resort.  See the Feature Guide and universal print driver Solution

    Download HP UPD--> http://www8.hp.com/us/en/solutions/business-solutions/printingsolutions/UPD.html?jumpid=af_s73wr2vct6

    3. if HP indicates that you can use the driver supplied with Windows 7, and then follow the advice of happyraver98 and use the "Windows Update" button in the appropriate window in the "Add printer" Wizard

    4. If like happyraver98 you rather not wait long enough time that takes to Windows Update to download print drivers additional, use Internet Explorer (only) and pass to the catalog Microsoft Update to find and download your driver: http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=hp%20laserjet%202100

Important: there are probably 2 or 3 entries that seem to be the same; You must open and determine the 'architecture' for which the driver is intended.

    X 86 = 32 bits

    Amd64 = 64 bit

IA64 = Intel Itanium 64-bit (not very common; for example, used for the XP Pro x 64 edition)

The drivers downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog is not as easy to install the drivers from the manufacturer of the printer (HP), is through the Add Printer Wizard.  As a general rule, you will download a *. CAB file.  You then extract the files inside of the *. CAB file using something like 7-zip or WinRAR.  Then run the Add Printer Wizard, click on the 'Disk' button, navigate to the folder where you extracted the contents of the *. CAB file and select the *.inf file.

  • Difficulties to download the driver for printer HP laserjet 1020 for laptop Windows 7 (64-bit)

I bought a new laptop from HP which works under Windows 7 (64-bit). I tried to download the driver for my HP laserjet 1022 printer - the website shows that this printer should work with Windows 7 with the driver available for download from the HP site. When I click to download the driver it starts to download, but then I get the following message "downloading lj1020-HP-pnp-win64 - in .exe was interrupted. I'm trying to resume the download and the same thing happens each and every time.

Someone at - it solutions? Thank you

Sarah - I dsl which is at the lower end of DSL speed and I can tell you that I sometimes have problems download from the HP site.  The HP software is quite 'bulky' and/or 'intense' (I have no other way to describe it).  If it gets interrupted it usually leaves.  My guess is that it's your connection mobile broadband is not not a connection permanently at times causing the interruption.  If you have no regular internet type, try to go to a mobile hotspot that is free in a city near you or a store that offers for free (Panera, McDonalds, Starbucks, etc.) and download the file from there.  Make sure your firewall is active and security to prevent unauthorized entry into your computer during download.

  • printer HP Laserjet P3010 Series for Windows 8, 64-bit driver

I can find the printer driver for this printer, but he doesn't mention Windows 8, 64-bit as a systems supported. Should I use another driver, or do I have to download the driver and it works well even when? (I'm not in the same place as the printer and cannot try it.) When I'm with the printer I don't have internet access.) I'm only in a location with appropriate internet access two or three times a year, so I'd like to get the correct drivers now!

I'm sorry, but to get your question more exposure I suggest posting in the trade forums since it is a printer. You can do so at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/

    I hope this helps.

  • How to upgrade to windows 7 64 bit, when I have Windows XP 32-bit by using the version "upgrade windows 7."

I had been using windows XP 32 bit before decide me get windows 7. I have read around and thought you could buy the "version upgrade of windows 7" and go for 32-bit windows xp to windows 7 64 bit. Unfortunately, when I got home to do a clean installation of windows 7, I received an error message when I put in the 64-bit and says that the disc is not compatible with my current windows. I called Mircrosoft and they told me that with the version of windows upgrade 7 "" you can't go from 32 to 64-bit, that I would need to get the full version of this one for $200 here in the Canada. Unfortunately, at this time, I have the product installed and running. I'm a bit disappointed in this light my 6 GB of ram go lose and not to mention my $120 I spent. So I wanted to know are another that blow $200 for full windows 7 and lose my $120 on the updated version, is there another method to get the 64-bit? Because at this point, I am at a total loss.

You can go from 32-bit XP to Windows 7 64 bit by doing a custom (clean) install with an upgrade version disk.  You don't need to buy a full version disc.  But you can't start from the upgrade disk.

I don't know what you have installed now.  If XP is installed, turn on the computer, insert the DVD upgrade after start XP and follow the prompts.  This method might also work if 32-bit Windows 7 is installed.  If not, maybe to re - install XP to start the upgrade.

  • Status of the HP LaserJet 4V driver for Windows 7 (64-bit)

After checking the compatibility of Windows 7 for my printer HP LaserJet 4V printer purchased a new PC HP Pavilion.  Site Web of Windows 7 from Microsoft said it WAS compatible.  However, after buying the new PC and try to locate the driver 64 bit LaserJet 4V, I find that the site HP Web says that there is NO DRIVER.  So for now I can't install or use my printer LaserJet 4V range.

LaserJet 4V connection will be via the EtherNet Port on my Cisco/Linksys WRT610 of router for sharing between a couple of PCs.

Is anyone know the real status of the driver or why MS shows the LaserJet 4V is compatible and HP implies the absence of a driver who is not?

    Thank you

OK, try the following: go to the folder, devices and printers, add printer, the local printer, create a port, a standard TCP/IP port, put the IP address of the print server, then select the 4V HP Laserjet (just before the Laserjet 5 in the list.  If it is not in the list click on WIndows Update), Next, Next.

  • Cannot configure LaserJet MFP 1536dnf in Windows 7 64-bit

One of my clients has a whole new MFP 1536dnf and there is no Win7 driver for it.  HP drivers website recommends the Universal Print Driver (UPD), which has been installed, but it does not work (although in devices and printers, he is listed as 1536 MFP PCL6 of UPD).  When I go to the Windows 7 printer troubleshooting, it mentions: 'the driver for HP LEDM is not installed' and fails to install a good driver.  I could find that LEDM means Low End Model Device, but I can't find any HP driver for it.  Does anyone have an idea how to solve this problem?  Thank you

Thanks for the reply, it reminded me to post my resolution.  A bit annoying, but I just used the CD that came with the printer and it had the correct drivers.  I hesitated to use it, because I don't have much luck with the other HP CD with the right drivers for Win7 64 bit.  In this case, however, it worked like a charm.

  • Where is the Windows Media Center in Windows 8/How do I use the TV card in my new Win 8 PC

I just bought a new HP ENVY h8 - Office 1500 t and I ordered a TV card in option.

The operating system is Windows 8, my old PC is running Vista.

There is no instructions on how to configure the TV. My old PC used Windows Media Center for TV operations. Apparently, there is no Media Center application in Windows 8. If there is, I can't find it.

There is an app called Huppage TV, but there is no instructions. Help!

    Hello

Microsoft is not delivered WMC with 8 Windows including Windows 8 Pro. Windows 8 Pro, too late to get a free copy now, you buy. For normal Windows 8, you must pay to go to Pro first, then pay for WMC.

    Kind regards.

  • Give me my correct product key for my windows vista 64 bit, I use on my toshiba Office Qosmio X 305 - Q705 operating system

I need my correct Windows vista Home premium 64-bit product... which will correct the error, such as fact but with error and 404 error, this page is not availible.

It's not Microsoft, and we have no product key to give you.

If your 64 bit Vista pre-installed look for a sticker on the underside of the case, which will contain 25 characters of the product key.

Or look in the battery compartment.

If before is not your problem, I suggest that you explain your problem in detail and include error codes.

    See you soon.

  • Cannot install Virtual PC installation windows 7 64 bit pro

    Hello

I try to install Virtual PC on a computer windows 7 custom made 64-bit and it repeatedly comes up with an error message saying: basically, it cannot install and I need to find a 64-bit version of the .exe.  Can someone help me?  I have this has cited by the customer service.  It's a little frustrating because I know that you should be able to install 32-bit programs on 64-bit.

Before you download the installation files, you must select the correct bits of your computer type. You can download the files 64-bit here:

  • Windows 7 64 bit Pro connects to SQL Server on the Windows Server 2008 R2 Standard domain

I put upgraded to Windows 7 Professional computers to Windows XP Professional, but I have a problem with getting one of software programs management of stock that allows us to connect to our SQL Server 2008 R2 Standard Windows on new Windows 7 computers.

Our computers are connected to a domain, and therefore SQL Server. Computers Windows XP allows each user to standard domain to connect and to connect to SQL Server via the stock management software.

But on the standard domain of Windows 7 Pro computer users unable to connect to SQL Server, but administrator accounts of area on the same Windows 7 Pro computers can connect to SQL Server through the inventory control program.

I have set up the alias of the server, the server name and port number via the SQL Server Client Network utility ( cliconfg.exe ) so I know this isn't the problem because it works when I'm logged on as a domain administrator.

There seems to be something to do with permissions of user domain and Windows 7 Pro. There seems to be a change from Windows XP Pro to Windows 7 Pro that does not allow standard domain users to connect to a SQL Server. But I can't find anything about and cannot practice how to solve this problem, except to make all users, domain administrators that is obviously not a good thing to do. So basically I think I need to create a group policy that allows users to connect to SQL Server, but I have no experience in doing this and don't know where to start.

Thank you for all that you guys help and I hope someone can give me the solution to this problem.

  • Windows 7 64 bit without recognizing an SD card or SDHC card through the bult in the card reader.

12/15/10 my computer Desk Top read SDHC and SD cards without problems through the media built in card reader, but the small import window to the lower right of the screen wouldn't do anything, I have to disconnect & reconnect to get rid of it.
Then, on 18/12/10 if I inserted the card SD or SDHC card & NOTHING happen on the monitor. It was as if nothing was plugged. It would appear click on the Start button > computer as a removable storage but it wouldn't ask to import the photos. No window pop up or anything.
If I have a SD or SDHC insert card in a USB adapter so that connected on a USB Port, it works fine. I tried with four different memory cards.
Why the computer OS does not recognize that the inserted card & even the computer itself would know that it was inserted because there is a small light that flashes when something is plugged. But he doesn't want to import and MARK photos directly from the construction in the card reader?
I was on the phone with gateway 3 times by train to update ALL the drivers & try the system restore on the eve of thatI know it actually worked.
I even spent an hour and 45 minutes on the phone with a Tech. Microsft via the remote control and still could not solve the problem. Everyone wants to blame others, but I see a lot of people have very similar problems.
My computer was purchased there are 4 1/2 months. It's a gateway FX6840-03e. It is a very powerful platform but suddenly something happened and now it will not import pictures from the card reader. I have to import via USB!
The strange thing is that my sister told me that exactly the same thing happened to his computer about a week and half ago. It is configured to download & install updates automatically. I'm set up just to be notified to download and install myself.
Why backup restore & would still work on a date that we both knew for positive that our computers were working very well?
So we need help! Anyone have any solutions or suggestions? The only assistance we have received so far was "Re-install the entire operating system."

Well Finally I found the problem of not being able to import images. After so much work and all try, same re-install windows7 operating system
It turns out this is one brass bit inside the construction tabs in the card reader was not working properly! Just a. That's all it took. It would show that the card has been installed, the light on the computer itself would show a card has been installed, but he wouldn't ask to import.
THANK YOU ALL for your help and suggestions! It was great.
The computer is fairly new but it had a flaw inside the card reader. So, if anyone knows the same check the connection problem.
Once again thatnk you for your help!
