Previously a window writing a new Email automatically open with the file selected, attached, followed by Thunderbird opening.

Went internet and downloaded a version more old 33.0 Mozzila Thunderbird.

Now the problem is solved and it works again.

  • I would like an option that reads 'check at startup' on when windows 7 checks the automatic updates.

I would like an option that reads 'check at startup' on when windows 7 checks the automatic updates. Some people still turn off their computers when you are not using it. And if they do not check to turn on, they will begin the navigation with an operating system up-to-date. This option exists? I have not found. Thank you

If check you the Manager of tasks shortly after starting your computer (or restart), you will notice that automatic updates (WUAUCLT. (EXE) is "check-in" with the update servers!

  • Windows Internet Explorer opens automatically at startup of the Facebook page

I use Windows Vista Home Premium software on a Gateway computer. For some reason any start-up, my Windows Internet Explorer is automatically upwards, and there a Web Facebook.com page already on the screen asking you to sign up for Facebook. It flashes at the bottom of my screen until I click on it. I don't want no internet will automatically launch and I want either of Facebook. How can I keep internet start automatically without my even clicking on it? Thanks for the help.

    Dear Rachel,

    Please, try the following steps.

    (1) check that the homepage of your Internet Explorer is not "facebook.com" - could be found under Tools-> Internet Options-> general, in the section "Home Page." If you do not have "facebook.com" written there, replace it with another site that you want to load when you start your browser or with "subject: empty ' If you just want a blank window is displayed when you run your browser.

    (2) on your Start menu, choose programs-> startup programs list. If "Internet Explorer" is in the list, just simply delete.

((3) if (2)) does not help, try running 'msconfig' (choose Run from the Start Menu and just type "msconfig" in the window that appears), go to "Startup" and uncheck a box near point "Windows Internet Explorer".

    I hope this helps!

  • Upgrade of RAM and windows stops and restarts automatically when it tries to load.

I recently updated my computer running:

    Motherborard: ASUS Crosshair V Formula

Graphics card: MSI R6970 lightning (2 GB dedicated DDR5)

    RAM: 2 x 4 GB Corsair vengeance 1600 Mhz

I have another 2 x 4 GB of ram and have tried loading windows vista ultimate 64-bit with installed, the configuration of the bios recognizes that the ram is present, however, windows crashes and restarts automatically when it tries to load.  Any suggestions on how to get this extra memory working out to change my Linux operating system?

    Thank you

You can try to connect a single stick of RAM at a time and see what happens.

  • Windows Firewall turns off automatically.

Windows Firewall turns off automatically at startup, sometimes. I use Trend Micro Internet Security and Windows Security Center. They both have a firewall. (1) I always here you can only have one firewall at the time, is why that Windows Firewall turns off sometimes? (2) if so, why only sometimes? (I don't have Windows OneCare.) (3) should I manually turn off the Windows Firewall and just use the Trend Micro firewall? (4) that I will protect? Please answer 4 questions.

I'm sorry, I wasn't clear enough in my question. I'm not asking for possibly a recommendation on what AV I have to use. I know not if I have to choose only one I'll choose Trend Micro. I wanted to ask what is the right way to turn off the Windows Firewall and make sure it stays off. When I open the Windows Security Center it shows firewall as YOU, but she does not have an option to OFF.

Start button > in the search box, type windows firewall > look up, click onWindows Firewall > in the left column, click turn on or off Windows Firewall > the rest is self-explanatory.

Additional information: there are 2 computers that I use on the first Gallery Photo of Windows will open the image and allow me to use the left and right buttons to scroll through the rest of the photos in the folder, that's what I want.

Check your antivirus/antispyware/security programs as a possibility. Especially if they check

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows
Updates, that leaves about Windows updates but it will not install the drivers that will be generally
older and cause problems. If updates offers a new driver and then HIDE it (right click on it), then
get new manually if you wish.
