HP Officejet 8600: No photo printing

My Hp officejet 8600 will display the text but no pictures.  He told me my printer does not communicate with the printer, I can print a text very well.

How is the connected printer - USB, wired LAN or wireless? What program are you printing from?

I suggest going into Word (you have one) and paste a picture into a document with text.  Try to print to it.  If it prints OK I suspect the settings of the printer for the program that you use to print photo is perhaps not properly configured.

If a Word document with a photo and text does not print http://www.hp.com/go/tools diagnostics can help solve the problem.

You are welcome.  In fact, I thank you for your patience with me.  This looks like a simple décor, such as Fax To PC is turned on.  How the printer is connected (USB, Ethernet or wireless)?

Do you get a fax notifications on your computer?  I created a digital Fax folder using the digital Fax Setup Wizard and it asks if you want to automatically print incoming faxes.  I will include a picture and let me know if this configuration page looks familiar.

-Setting up digital fax HP to save received faxes to your computer- click on this link for more information about the digital fax to PC configuration.

The best way to know if put you it in place is to go into your basic fax settings and select HP digital fax at the bottom of this menu.  If he tells you to complete the installation, then you have not done this.

I think that maybe it's the feature prevents printing immediately your fax.  This will work only if you have set up the printer on a wireless network.

  • OfficeJet 8600 super slow printing on the network

I have a Mac with os x installed Lion couple and uses the model of N911a of OfficeJect 8600 Pro. I have updated drivers recently so as current sound properly.

    Here are a few vitals:

    OS - 10.7.3

    Router: Apple Time Capsule

He's averaging about 3 to 4 minutes per print page from any computer in the network. I guess that's not normal. How can I trouble shoot? I've seen messages on the definition of a static IP address that I do not know how.

    What suggestions do you guys?

I suggest to set a static IP address for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). Yours is 10.0.1.2 a.200.  We use 10.0.1.220 for your printer.
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • HP OfficeJet 8600 border less printing

I've read through the forums and found nothing, apart from somone saying probably a problem with the print bed.

Every setting I can put it on the printer driver and in word are set on edge to edge borderless. I tried to re install the drivers, but there is always a small margin, I read somewhere on the site of HP they say to take the paper on the tray and move the slider to the left, but obviously the cursor centers the paper all the time, so I can't put on the far left.

We have 3 of these printers and brought with the intension to print without borders, we don't set up immediately, up to now, our maintenance missed then HP will not help.

    Hi, thanks for your help.

I finally found a solution. It seems to be the word of the question.

I have an image at the far right of the page, and that's what was causing the problem.

I ended up moving the straighter image as he watched now ill and as he was out of the page.

It worked, just took a bit of tweaking. I'm not sure if there is a better way to do it so you can actually see what you print will look like, is a little annoying because if I want to send to a customer, that would be bad.

So not a problem of HP, it's a word issue.

    Thanks for your help Waterboy

  • Office Jet Pro 8600: bad quality printing on HP Premium Plus Photo paper

Using HP Premium Plus Photo paper print quality is terrible! I have selected the correct paper and the "highest DPI", but the results are shockingly bad. The same photo printed on paper ordinary is by far superior, so it seems to be the book that is the problem. Anyone got tips?

HP Premium Plus Photo paper is designed for dye based printing.  Printers Officejet Pro 8600 used pigment ink which is not compatible with the HP Premium Plus Photo Paper.

I suggest that you try the Photo paper advanced HP, it is more appropriate for the Officejet Pro 8600.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Wireless Configuration - print is in the queue, then disappears. Do not print

I just got the Officejet Pro 8600 as a gift and burden of implementing software and it on my wireless network.  When I try to print an e-mail or a coupon, the command changes to the printer and indicates in the queue. Then after a few seconds, the print queue (work) disappears without printing the document.  This command goes to the HP ePrint feature or the Officejet Pro 8600 network?  It shows the HP ePrint as being on USB.

I have run all the Diagnostics, downloaded all the new software, software packages and updates.  I spend several hours trying to get to the printer.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

  • HP Officejet 8600 more print and scan problems

    Hello

I had my HP officejet 8600 more for 2-3 years and always had problems following and just kept reinstalling the drivers as a quick fix. I am now starting a business from home and I have no time to deal with printing and scanning the questions and, of course, my warranty has expired! My operating system is OS X version 10.9.4.

When I scan to my computer, the printer indicates "not found computer." The status of my mac is no different than when I scanned a document a few days ago! Remove and reinstall the drivers solves this problem temporarily but I want it fixed permanently.

In addition, when printing, sometimes a page can print immediately and at other times, it may take 5-10 minutes to print even if its status is 100% full in the print queue - even once, reinstall the drivers is a quick fix but I want a permanent solution.

Any help to solve these problems would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you very much...

  • HP OfficeJet 8600: Print using black ink only

We use our printer as a copier only.  It is not connected to a computer.  Why do the color cartridges run out of ink and we cannot print black print.  We print any documents using color.  Is it possible to turn on the black only?

Sorry, but the HP Officejet Pro 8600 has separated from the inks and printheads and requires that all inks are available to avoid damage to the print head.

You can minimize the ink used with the following steps:

    • Use draft mode when the quality is sufficient.  Draft mode uses about half the ink or Normal or best mode.
    • Power switch of the printer only allows to turn off the printer.  If an external switch (as a protector or output impulse) is used more ink will be used at startup.

HP and other printer manufacturers have technology another printer for different needs.  For ink jet printers:

    • Some have integrated into the ink cartridges print heads.  These printers can print generally with one or more of the colors completely empty, or even with color or black cartridges (but not both) removed. The Officejet 8040 has us an example.
    • Other printers have separate replaceable printheads and inks.  An example would be the printer Officejet 8600.  In these printers print head can be replaced if they are damaged by running the printhead with colors off.  Some of these printers allow printing with a color, the other will not.  If the printer is run without ink in one or several colours, the printer may be damaged, but the user may be able to recover without having to send to the printer for the service.
    • Other printers have permanent print heads.  To run only those without little ink in all colours would risk causing damage to the print head because of clogs, air ingested in the printhead or grilled printhead resistances of shooting. The Officejet 6700 is an example of this type of printer. For printers with fixed print heads that could require the service to get the printer to print properly again when the ink is finally replaced.

The document described here how the ink is used.  The document is written for inkjet printers HP the same principles apply to printers inkjet from other manufacturers.

If you do ever print color laser printer would probably be a better choice.  If you occasionally print color but especially black a HPI printer as those in the first category above can be a good choice.

  • Photo printing without borders on an Officejet 7612, since a Win 8.1 desktop

Just bought a new 7612 Officejet, was wanting to a printer with the ability to scan and print 11 x 17, which is what attracted me to this (as well as how much the prices sank on the printers large format in recent years).  This printer replaces an Officejet 7310, which eventually gave the soul.

I was setting the printer to the test this weekend to try to ensure that everything works and I found a problem.  I can't select borderless photo paper 4 x 6 when I try to print photos.  I'm running Windows 8.1 on my desk and always uses the same printing software photo that I used for the 7310, who is the Manager of Office 2010 photos.  When the 7310 worked, I could select 4 x 6 borderless paper from the menu of choices different paper drop-down.  Now with the 7612, I choose paper 4 x 6, but without the border is not an option.  This means that when I print pictures, I have a 1/8 "to 1/4" white border all about photography.  7612 driver isn't set up for printing without margins?  Yes, the selection of the type of paper is HP premium photo paper, since it's what I use, but I tried other selections of photo paper and still no selection for printing without margins.

    DRM for your help,

    Paul

Fixed.  I used the chat on this site feature to speak with a HP technician.  He took control remotely from my computer and re-installed the driver and went through the Setup and now its photo printer, at least for 4 x 6 borderless.

I think I have what he did differently from me is to change the Fax printer to printer in the 'print options', while in the printer and devices window.  I think that's maybe where I made my mistake, in even if he printed paper copies, he used the fax settings that apparently do not allow printing without margins.  So anyone who finds this problem with their 7612, I would try this first.

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus - Duplex printing problem

I use a printer Officejet Pro 8600 Plus (what is the best printer I've ever had, apart from this problem!).  I use it with Windows 8.1.

He struggles for more than a few pages print using duplex.  The problem seems to get worse when I print a pdf file.  It starts to print very well and made a few pages, but then I get this message "error on HP Officejet Pro 8600.  "Could not print * name * folder.  It appears on the computer not the printer.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you

    Hey there @operationorphan

I just wanted to add my own suggestions here for the issue of two-sided printing that you had with your Officejet 8600.

You can try to update the firmware: get the latest Firmware and updates

If this does not help, try to uninstall the printer software , reboot the PC and reinstall the printer. This should dissipate all software problems.

    I hope that helps!

If troubleshooting doesn't help not solve your problem, then I would say call the HP Technical Support to see all the other possibilities for you. If you call in North America, the number is 1-800-474-6836 and for all other regions: click here.

    Hello

As OEM HP is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their drivers. Check with
HP support, their documentation online and drivers and ask in their forums.

Good luck, you need to update or reinstall the latest driver.
