HP Officejet E709a Windows XP fail to install the photosmart software, failure to scan

HP Officejet 6500 E709a reinstalled on my XP. First part was OK.
that elevation fax was okay too, fax test passed.
Problem was with photosmart.
On the main installation window when I select install several software then Photosmart Essential 3.5.
Installation with programmable buttons popup window empty. Click on them anyway, popup error message.
Error massage window was called:

"\Locals~1\Temp\HP\OJ6500vE709_full_en\Setup\hpzprl01.exe Preloader" m. "

error text was

the coannot system find the specified file

But the file is here à...\Locals~1\Temp\HP\OJ6500vE709_full_en\Setup\hpzprl01.exe
I can see it, 396 KB version 12.0.0.85

Relocation came after installation of the graphics card NVidia Geoforce GT 630
with 340.52 - Office-winxp-32-bit - international.exe
And also USB 3.0: Renesas Electronics.
Graphics card is still on XP but USB3 was withdrawn prior to installation.
I can't say whether problem is a result of the graphics card or install USB3
but of course, they started after these facilities.

Was clean before installation with \Locals~1\Temp\HP\,,\uninstall_l4
Also the HP has been removed from c:\Windows c:\Program files, add remove program has been own HP
\Locals~1\Temp was clean of any file and recycle bin has been emptied.

I had the same photosmart failure with the new OJ6500vE709_Full_14.exe instalation file

Please advice

Thank you

  • Can not uninstall or install the photosmart software 6510

After having been frustrated that the printer driver for my new 6510 than anything a printer would claim that the printer was not connected to the network, when at the same time of the same system that the browser he could speak without difficulty, I decided to see if the installation of the last load to the bottom of the software could solve the problem.

I am running Windows XP and downloaded the software PS6510_1315 verision.  After a first installation failure, (ago I was probably dumb and do not uninstall first) it is impossible to install.  The error message was "Installation failed."  After leaving the look of software for a solution to the problem that I have received a failure of Installation of HP - scrip MSI_1603 which was meant to help solve the problem.  Followed these instructions requiring a reboot to stop some of the initialization of the pilot to restart, and it has not yet installed.

Then I say that da - uninstall.  I have tryied that using the provided HP unstall link from the menu drop-down HP 6510 Phostosmart and who fails to uninstall, I tried the remove from the Add/Remove control panel screen.  Trucks to uninstall only says in 8 seconds, the green line goes all the way to the end, and then it says done in 5 seconds and starts to decline.  And provides the detailed message that the installation has failed.  And if I find myself a solution sent me another copy of the file "HP installation failure - MSI_1603.

So I am now completely jambed upward and cannot uninstall the existing software or install the newest software.

Are there log files that exist somewhere on the system that tells exactly what is happening or why unistall fails.  Maybe all the details have been sent to HP through to find a feature of the solution, but course is not to tell me anything.

Are there tools that I can use to force an uninstall?

I really want to beable to use the printer again, but from now I can't use it for anything from this computer.

HA you are right.  It's always a good idea to be kind to the it guy at work.  I am pleased that you print again and thank you to update me.  I have some suggestions for you.

    1. You can set a static ip address of the embedded Web server (EWS), which is access by browser using the printer ip address you mentioned earlier.  Open the network tab and in virtue of the Wireless section, open IPv4, modify the Manual IP address IP Configuration .  Once you select Manual IP, a button will light indicating "suggest a manual IP address.  Click on it and will populate the fields above him.  Usually the last node to Manual IP address changes.  I would like to return to the current IP address.  Then select apply.  This will help you keep a better connection to the printer and the router will not change the IP address as she normally does.
    2. If your printer is plugged into a surge protector, I recommend that connect you it directly to a wall jack for power.  Sometimes when it is plugged into a surge protector, the printer does not receive the exact amount of electricity and this can cause problems with wireless connection.  The printer has built in a surge protector.
    3. If you decide to connect the usb from the printer, there will not be a problem with another computer, being able to print wireless.  The best way to add a usb printer is to click on the Start button, click all programs, scroll down to the HP folder, open, open your printer and you should see "printer setup"or 'Add a device'.»  Click on that and follow the instructions for installation of the usb.  Do not forget and do not connect the usb cable until the installation program asks that you plug.

    I hope it's useful.

    Hi Luigi,

Don't worry about wasting my time. I love doing research and constantly learn new things.  I found another post on this site which recommended the .NET solution.  Here is the link to this article: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/vistawu/thread/e3d8edeb-1a3b-42d3-a635-070264696db5.  Unfortunately the user in this link has failed to let us know if it worked for her or not.

If this does not work (or you don't want to go through the above steps), you must contact Microsoft Update Solution Center http://support.microsoft.com/ph/6527#tab0.  Click on Contact a technical support engineerand accept the agreement.  You will receive the free e-mail directly support from Microsoft Support staff.  Don't forget to let them know all the steps you have tried so far so that they are not duplicated.

If this is resolved, I'd be happy if you referred to this site to let me know how it was fixed.

    Good luck

In fact his problem with the installation.

Extract the exe file in a folder using 7zip

    Then delete usbready.exe

    And run setup.exe

I had this exact error and solved with these exact steps on a new installation of windows with asus motherboard with all the usb ports on work.

For some reason any the usbready.exe is just trash in some installations and does not correctly detect the usb ports.

Edit: You can also follow these steps if you do not want / can not install 7zip

From Windows Explorer type folder in the address bar and press ENTER.

Locate and open the most recent HP installation folder, which begins with 7z (e.g. 7z1234a).

    Open the installation folder.

Locate the file named usbready.exe, rename it to usbready1.exe or delete it.

Go back up a level and start the Setup.exe program.

Now follow the installation and check the differences.

KB2887069 Windows update fails to install, even with the audio drivers and uninstalled AV.

Background: I am setting up a pavilion of 500-164 equipped with OEM specs, specifically:

    -AMD/Radeon APU

    -Windows 8 6.2.9200

-See sysinfo below for more details

The PC brought to the specifications of the plant, with all Windows updates applied with the exception of KB2887069, which breaks down at the update.  With the exception of troubleshooting the failure of the update, none of the changes have been made.  The Windows KB2887069 update fails to install as well through the automated process when tried manually via a direct download.

Additional troubleshooting measures to date include:

-Uninstall the software OEM AV (Norton), then by restarting.

-Temporarily disable all the features of Windows Defender.

-Temporarily uninstall the audio driver (IDT High Definition Audio CODEC) OEM.

-Realization of an analysis of the SFC system (with no error found).

[2] full Disclosure: the difficulty operating in AGGRESSIVE mode will remove your update history but not the list of installed updates.

  • Failed to install the Silverlight Plugin in Windows 8

I tried all the solutions previously this problem without success.

The installation of said Silverlight Windows "Installation failed." While the control panel displays the app but Netflix page prompts me to install Silverlight.

I downloaded the script CleanSilverlight and it ran as suggested on the article. No resolution. Tried another browser. Does not always get invited to install Silverlight.

    What else can I try?

    It did not work.

I thought about it: should disable McAfee Virus Scan (https://kc.mcafee.com/corporate/index?page=content&id=KB52204) before installing Silverlight.

8.1 for Windows cannot be installed on my Sony Vaio Duo 13! An error pops up asking me to contact the OEM manufacturer for BIOS update. Checked in the event log and saw this error: Installation failure: Windows failed to install the following update with error 0xC1900104: English ESD Bundle Parent.

Any idea? I'm redownloading the update now.
