OfficeJet pro 251dw disconnects after a print job

If I do a power cycle, I can print a job then the printer goes offline.

    The printer is USB connected.

I disconnected the power and the USB and reconnected them.

I rebooted without results. The printer is set as default printer.

    Hello

Now, my problem is apparently solved.
I had the help of the ' Geek Squad'. " The agent showed me how to limit the address that could be assigned dynamically using the pool of router.
In the distribution of addresses IP mode on the network (home or office), we have developed the distribution of IP addresses 182.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.174.
This is the address 192.168.1.200 available for the printer. We have changed the address of the printer in the IPv4 configuration in the
Office jet pro 251dw printer web site (192.168.1.200) at this address and assign the static - in the router.
He did assign port 9100, I'm not clear as to why it was necessary.
The printer has worked since July 25 without becoming disconnected.

  • OfficeJet Pro 251dw not connected

I have my new 251dw HP Officejet Pro connected wireless to an Apple AirPort Express router. The router is also connected to two Mac computers, both running on OS - X 10.9 Mavericks. For a week, I had no problem printing on the desktop computer, and I had not tried printing from the laptop. Today, the printer refuses to print anything from computers, even if everything is turned on. When I click on the printer icon in the Dock, I get a message "printer offline". The printer thinks it is connected; the wireless test page and the pages of network configuration all went brilliantly. What could happen?

In fact, we have solved the problem. And it was so simple, none of the tech experts I treated supposed to check on her. The driver has not been installed. The reason: in my setup previous Parallels Desktop 6 and Windows XP within my Mac, I was able to print in Windows with the pilot only installed on Mac, because the program Windows would capture the printer, which was connected to the computer by USB cable. In my new Setup, the printer is connected wirelessly to a router, and so I need drivers for the Mac and Windows applications on the same machine. But I didn't know that, and no one thought to tell me. Somehow, I made a wild guess which may help a Windows driver, and it solved the problem.

  • HP office jet pro 251dw: find the name of the network printer

    Hello

I want to create a shortcut of the queue for the ability to quickly cancel a print job

To do this, I need the name of printer network such as:

    C:\Windows\System32\rundll32.exe printui.dll/o/n HP6CC21747B66E

The above is incorrect. How to find the correct network name

    Thank you

    Frank C

I found the Brink tutorial on creating a shortcut of printer queue:
Shortcut of the print queue - create in Windows 7 and Windows 8

In my case, the name of the printer is "Printer HP Officejet Pro 251dw PCL 6 (network)"
It must be in quotes because of the spaces.

I did create it a shortcut in the location target using the following:
%WinDir%\System32\rundll32.exe printui.dll/o/n "Printer HP Officejet Pro 251dw PCL 6 (network)"

I ran a test with no paper in the printer, so it couldn't print.
I have performed the shortcut, the print job in the queue. I canceled it
    And it worked!

Hi all.  Hoping that someone out there has experienced and solved the problem, I will describe.  We have a desktop computer with Windows XP Dell, a Dell laptop with Windows 8 and several iPhone 4.  We also have a quantum Verizon FIOS router, which we installed a week ago.  (We were able to print to the printer HP of all of our devices, once the new router has been installed).  Until today, all of our devices connected to the router and our range of HP printers.  Today, we cannot print anything for the HP printer.  We uninstalled and reinstalled the printer software.  We have followed all the steps HP print and Scan doctor.  We have unplugged the printer and the router and plugged them both back.  We rebooted all electronic devices.  We ran the network Test on the printer wireless and did get the message 'no problem found.  Congratulations on the success of your wireless printer setup. "All the results of the test came as a 'PASS '.  Still no luck.  The printer is 'offline' and none of our electronic devices even recognize it.  Any help would be welcome!

We are on the same wireless network.  The printer is configured with a fixed IP address.  Any ideas?

    Hello whatkatiedoes,

I understand your frustration I want to gather some information so that we can begin troubleshooting.

Did you update firmware for your OfficeJet 8600 Premium? If this isn't the case, I wish that install you this, it was released 23/7/2013 click here to update the firmware.

Also we will go forward and restore the default network on your printer, go to the front panel of your printer and follow the steps below:

Menu Configuration > Tools > restore default settings

Now that we have a 8600 OfficeJet updated premium and have restored the default values. I want to you now to connect wireless using the Wireless, Setup Assistant which is also found in the front panel of your printer. Steps listed below:

Menu Setup > network > Wireless Setup Wizard

Once these steps have been performed, you can now try to re run the installation software. Here's the direct link for HP Officejet Pro Full Feature software and driver - Mac OS X 10.8. Please let me know the result and if it was successful, I hope to hear from you soon.

  • HP OfficeJet Pro scan is no longer with Sierra

I am running OS X Sierra on 2012 MBA with an HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 printer / scanner.

I noticed that after the upgrade to Sierra that the scan function no longer works... I tried to uninstall / reinstall the device, but the problem continues... I have checked the Apple Web site and notice that the HP OfficeJet 8600 is listed as a compatible scanner.

I note also that the 8600 OfficeJet is connected as a printer via WiFi network and worked perfectly with the captain.

    With:

1 has anyone else experienced this problem?

    2. What if anyone has found a solution / workaround?

    TIA,

    Joel

responsibility to provide drivers to work for an update of the OS is with the developer of this device, not Apple. visit the page of the developer for your make and model camera and see if they offer drivers, otherwise contact the developers. Apple will sometimes provide printer drivers, but if a device is a legacy printer the developer may choose to retire it from use.

  • After installing hp officejet pro 8600 I can't access the toolbar at the top to access all my favorites? How do I get back them?

My son-in-law installed the hp officejet pro 8600 and cannot access the toolbar above or get it to sit still without moving. So I can't access my history, bookmarks, etc..

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus doesn\ ' impression on network t...

Two weeks ago, I set up a HP Officejet Pro 8600 more using two USB & ethernet cable connections... Everything works very well on all devices - iPad, iPhone, MacBook Pro, Win7 desktop PC and portable Win7... until the printer goes to sleep.  We does not display every day, so it may be a few days between printing / scanning.

As I kept an eye on to do this, it has happened twice now, it may take a few days before the printer is unresponsive.  When laptops Windows 7 need to print, the printer does not respond until what feed us the cycle.  The INVESTIGATION period has not changed on the printer and the software HP Update says that everything is up-to-date.

From what I can tell, other devices - Win 7 Desktop, iPad, iPhone, and MacBook Pros seem to be the problem.

Win 7 laptop 1 - connection WiFi AP w / cable for printer

Win 7 laptop 2 - cable ethernet to AP w / cable for printer

Win 7 Desktop - USB cable for printer

MacBook Pro - cable ethernet to AP w / cable for printer

iPad/iPhone - WiFi connection AP w / cable for printer

    Printer Firmware Version - CLP1CN1232AR

Set a static IP address in the printer out of the router's DHCP range.  Use a channel wireless fixed like 1.6 or 11 never 'auto '.   Power at the same time.  Power on router wait 2 minutes.  Please turn on printer and connect.  Try now.
