  • That means a green light flashing on iPod Shuffle 4th Gen?

When you listen to songs on my iPod Shuffle 4th gen, the LED flashes green (connected to the helmet, not the USB port on the computer).  I thought it was supposed to stay green. What does a flashing green light?  Thank you.

When you play the shuffle, the light usually indicates the level of battery charge.  Green , fresh strong (I think that more than 25%).  He goes to the orangeand then Red (reduced rate).  While playing songs, he should not stay ON or flashes continuously, unless you press the control buttons.

    Hello

Just wanted to give an update on this issue, in case someone else runs into a similar situation. As I said, I'm under market entirely adapter. I found that the old ground had not been eradicated because if you go out without replacing, it leaves a gaping hole in your laptop!

I solved the problem of blinky light orange by disconnecting the battery, but leaving so much, with little electrical tape, to hold it in place that it will protect the pins bit inside battery - thanks for the link to the manual, it is also useful.

  • Satellite 2805-S201: AC power light flashes orange 8 times

    Hello

I worked on a Satellite 2805-S201 and everything was fine until I put a PCMCIA wireless with 3, 3V power.
After that, the AC power light flashes orange 8 times and recycle.

It comes with power supply, battery, AC and no battery installed, etc. If I pull out the power plug and the battery and then put both when AC is green and the battery may charge. As soon as I push the power button, I hear a light click on the right side of the device and then it goes into the amber cycling power.

Bulletins of support mentioned that the card could get damaged, but did not mention the unit itself.
No, the PCMCIA card is not always connected

    Any thoughts?

    Hello

The flashing provides a micro code which refers to the hardware failure.
But please don't ask me what might mean this code because in my opinion, only an authorized service provider can be read and can check in his manuals and documentations.
But it is of course, in most cases, it s a hardware problem of motherboard! ;(

Perhaps the external PCMCIA card was not totally compatible and damages of something on the map but it's only my personal suggestion to ensure what s bad hardware fault diagnosis would be necessary.

  • Intermittent operation (especially just a power indicator light flashes) on WRT-150N

Anyone know if these symptoms mean that my router is dead all just please? It runs for about a week or two and then the power light flashes quickly. It is then assigns IPs constantly, whenever I have try refreshing the DNCP on my Mac (or Linux).

I can get it to keep the constant power indicator by pressing reset while you insert the power supply plug, but then it sets itself simply IPs again.

It broadcasts its radio very well at all times.

Connect to it with a Mac just translates what OSX calls a 'time of connection' which seems to be MacSpeak for ' we tried connecting but your router is assigning its IP address, so we used to bother Cuatros "cos you will not be able to use this connection"

If I leave it off for a few weeks, I can connect again, and sometimes it works fine but only for a week or two. Then the power light flashes and it will not assign an IP address most.

It doesn't have the latest firmware, but it SEEMS a little more like a hardware problem than a firmware the firmware seems to be working fine when I connect it on the occasions where it runs correctly.

It would seem that the problem is indeed with the router. Try to perform a 30-30-30 reset and then check if the router will have now a stable performance. In case the router still does not work, then you can either: contact technical support for assistance or to replace the router with a new one.

IM only get a full load of 70% on my battery now, does that mean my battery is to expire?

    Hello

Check with support from the manufacturer of their books online and the drivers and their forums system
(as applicable) for known issues. Some manufacturer issued BIOS and other updates to help the battery
    problems.

Control Panel control - plan change Options - power plans - power - advanced settings
Parameters for the drainage and the use of parameters (this is how much to use and not how much or how)
    long to load).

In fact, what causes a lot of wear on a battery empties it too low on several occasions. With today
systems overload are not a problem.

Here are some tips to help and troubleshoot battery issues.

Old battery? Unplug the power to the computer - remove the battery and clean the contacts with a pencil
eraser (do not use this, if your battery is fine slots - just clean up the edges of the knife which fit in)
them and be careful). Batteries are old, or it could be a problem with the computer.
Check with the support of the machine system, and many of them have on line forums.

New Lithium-Ion type battery usually last longer if you do not unload then less than 30%
However on a laptop that not extend their life a lot. Best is to use the a/c adapter
    When this is possible.

I use the free version of BatteryBar to monitor my battery. Click on the green button on the
Yellow box on the right side of the page to download the latest stable version.

  • Windows 7 power indicator problem

Hello... I have a problem with my windows 7, whenever I use it for a long time and then it off via the start menu, the power light is still on and I hear again the fan running despite the display saying it is turned off and then blacj. In order to close it completely, I need to hold the power button and I know it will be bad for my laptop if I still force closure with button / stop. Curiously, it doesn't happen when I use my laptop for a long time, perhaps more than an hour... But if I use my laptop for a few minutes, there is no problem with power indicator. Can someone help me with this please?

P.S. I am a newbie in this then I would be happy if you could explain it in the easy way

  • HP dv7-3085dx power light flashes, but the laptop does not work.

Hello! I have a HP Pavilion dv7-3085dx. It has a hard drive Bay 2.

Recently, I bought the caddy + cable kit and an Intel SSD. The thing is, when I plug the sata cable to the motherboard for the laptop, and the SSD to it, the laptop does not light. When I press the power button, it flashes once (the power LED flashes once), but the laptop does not light. When I press again, nothing happens.

I tried to remove the power supply plug, battery and plug it all again, but the power light flashes once (when you press the power button) and no reaction.

Maybe it's the sata cable: when I remove the new cable and connect the SSD with the sata cable on the 1 hard drive Bay (the cable supplied with the notebook), it works fine. The laptop starts. And when I connect the former sata cable, with the SSD on the second hard drive Bay, it also works.

I just want to now what is the flashing light means light? Why it does not work with the new cable?

Thanks in advance! Sorry for my bad English...

    Emilio.

It is possible that this is a problem with the kit. I would recommend to download and install the latest BIOS update for your laptop, using the download at the following link: http://goo.gl/rbHkg

If it still doesn't work after that, I would recommend to suppress the kit for a replacement or to try another.

  • That means "another device on the network use the IP address of your computer"?, that means "another device on the network is using the IP address of your computer?

That means "another device on the network use the IP address of your computer"?, that means "another device on the network is using the IP address of your computer?

    A

Most likely, the computer becomes a network address of a router. The assignment of an address ("lease") expires and must be renewed after a certain period of time, which could be an hour or a day. The lease expired without being renewed because the device has been disconnected at the time. Meanwhile, the address has been leased to another device on the network, or maybe the router has not updated its list of addresses the leases. When the device offline comes back online, a conflict results. Depending on the type of router you have, the conflict can resolve itself automatically. If not, then in the menu bar, select please

    ▹ System Preferences network ▹ 

If the preferences window is locked, click the lock icon in the lower left corner and enter your password to unlock it. Click the Advanced button, and then select the TCP/IP tab in the sheet that drops down. Look at the menu option

    Configure IPv4

If the selection in this menu is

    Using DHCP

    Click on the button

    Renew the DHCP lease

    Test.

Make sure that you have more than one DHCP server on the network. That could happen if you have more than one access point Wi - Fi, or if you have a router and broadband a wide device distinct in connection mode sharing.

    B

Less likely, you have a network address that you assigned yourself and another device is itself by assigning the same address. In this case, the selection to configure IPv4 menu will be either manually or using DHCP with manual address. This kind of conflict will not be resolved automatically. You have the following options to solve:

    1. Change the selection in menu using DHCP.
    2. Change the address assigned manually to one that is not used by another device.
    3. Change the address of the other device.

Which of these options you choose depends on the details of why you use a static IP address. Any changes you make to the network settings is necessary before taking effect. To do this, click OK, and then click apply.

If the router is also your device at wide band, then he may be operating in bridged mode. In this case, only one customer at a time will be able to connect to the Internet. Consult the manufacturer or ISP documentation for how to reconfigure the device in the connection mode sharing.

    C

According to a report a "DirectTV" receiver can cause the problem. If necessary, disconnect the device from the network, or power off and test. Consult the support services provider.

  • Shuts off and won't come back on iPad. Just shows the Apple logo. Does that mean and what should I do now?

When I woke up yesterday morning after charging my ipad I just couldn't turn my ipad until I plugged in the laptop... worked well

Yet once, I woke up this morning it's the same thing, but now all I see is a dim apple logo and it will turn back not... do not update AFAIK.

Does that mean and what should I do?

Try a forced reboot and see if that fixes it. Hold on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen.

  • Hello, I receive a message telling me that my AC power adapter type cannot be accepted.

A few days ago, I started having a power warning message when I turn on my laptop. It is said that the AC power adapter type cannot be determined. Beacause it my battery will not charge. But it's the power adapter that came with it and I have used for so long that I got the machine. Do not know what is happening.

I guess that the laptop works on AC power only but always?

If you remove the battery from the laptop work?   If yes then I suspect the battery does not have rather than the power adapter.
If it will not work without the battery then I would suspect that the adapter is faulty/defective.
Don't let not the battery-even if it is the problem.
  • that means 'dirty volume' after running disk check? What steps?

After having problems starting up my computer (Windows XP, SP 3), check the automatically executed drive.  The phase of verification of files indicated "dirty volume". What does that mean and what should be done?  All other controls were normal, and the PC starts normally on next attempt off. PC is Dell Optiplex 745, 4 GB of RAM, two disks (C = 250 GB, E = 500 GB).

    Hi AllStr8Talk,

The dirty bit is set for two main causes - a software such as your abnormal termination problem, or a more serious hardware problem which can indicate a failing drive. It's this bit salty which, during the transfer of data, tells your computer to run the command chkdsk at startup (autochk).

You can check the status of your bit of impurity of a window using command prompt Fsutil: dirty command.
    For more information, see:

Once a volume was marked as dirty, the only way to clear the dirty bit is to run "chkdsk/r" or "chkdsk/p" when the volume is not in use.  The only way a volume can not be used while Windows XP is just starting to load or from the Windows XP Recovery Console.
    For more information, see:

How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP

    Chkdsk

Note: Running chkdsk on the drive if bad sectors are found on the disk hard when chkdsk attempts to repair this area if all available on which data can be lost.
