  The function keys work?  What happens if you just press F3?  You get the F3 or the function key action?

  If you press the F3 key and get the action of function, you must disable the key Action Mode in the BIOS.  Try the following in this case.

  1. Restart the computer and press F10, until the BIOS screen load.
  2. Go to the section 'System Configuration '.

  I am not sure, but it may be because of the SP1. I installed Vista Ultimate on A200 and stuff all listed (drivers, tools and utilities) from Toshiba support page.

  If I remember well a lot of people here have noticed the same thing. Here in Europe, Toshiba has solved this problem with BIOS update for Windows XP Home edition. Then visit Toshiba support and download page and check if WXP BIOS update is available.

  If your laptop is supported WXP this BIOS update should be available.

  After you perform a clean installation of Windows Professional 8.1 on my Pavilion G6 1006sh I can't use my external Samsung monitor connected to the HDMI port.

However, windows detects monitor connected only on VGA General (i.e. integrated laptop display) and nothing on the Radeon so I can't use my external monitor.

When I plug the HDMI cable into the laptop the screen displays a message that it is connected, but there is no input signal. The HDMI port on monitor and works in the laptop I used the same setup with Windows 7 x 64 Professional without any problem. It is only the operating system that has changed.
