HP Pavilion 15: Can I change my GPU?

Can I replace my laptop with an Intel HD Graphics 530 GPU

It's a HP Pavilion 15 (Hewlett-Packard).

Data sheet:

HP Pavilion 15 (Hewlett-Packard)

Intel HD 5500 graphics card

6 GB RAM but only 5.92 is usable

5500-U @2.40 GHZ I7

750 GB HARD drive HDD

I can run CS: go above 60 fps on low heat.  My average fps is 60-90.

Keep in mind, that this is a laptop (HP Pavilion 15 manufactured by Hewlett-Packard)

Hello:

There is no graphics removable/replaceable 'cards' in your laptop.

The GPU is soldered and integrated into the motherboard.

You need to replace the motherboard together that would cost as much buying a different model with the graphics you're looking for.

  • Can I put the GPU or CPU on my HP G6?

    Hello!

    I'm running on 64 bit of Windows 8 and I have a HP Pavilion 2345sf g6.

And I saw that my laptop has an AMD RADEON HD 7670 M GPUS and AMD RADEON 7640 G (this is built into the motherboard) and a CPU AMD A8 - 4500M

and I want to upgrade the gpu because of lack of performance when I play video games.

So I want to know if it is expandable and if this is the case, how can I change the GPU and if it could be replaced by another one much better.

In a Word, sorry; No dice. The CPU maybe but not the GPU. You could get slightly better game with a faster processor performance, but also probably not sufficient to justify the substantial efforts and expenses. The best course of action is to sell your laptop and buy one with the video power you need. It may seem expensive to do, but it is almost always less expensive in the long term.

  • The GPU of my Lenovo Ideapad S410P Touch can be changed?

I have this laptop which is the Lenovo Ideapad S410p key, I was wondering if I can change the GPU. Thank you.

Good day and welcome to the community.

As with most laptops that include discrete graphics, the dGPU is soldered to the system board and therefore, is not extensible. The only exception on some models would be if there were different system equipped with dGPU offered advice. In this case, Exchange System Management Board would be only upgraded avenue.

In looking at the manual material S410P pg78: https://download.lenovo.com/consumer/mobiles_pub/ideapad_s410ps410ptouchs510ps510ptouch_hmm.pdf
There seems to be 2 variants of Board of Directors system: integrated or discrete, graphics with 3 sub-variants each: no operating system, the Win8Std or the Win8Pro.

I hope this helps clarify a little.

    Kind regards.

  • HP Pavilion dv6-T119TX battery error internal 601. How can I change the battery.

my lap top girls (a little more than 12 months) she uses for United is setting up the 601 battery error message internal needs changing.

How can I change, I assume it is the small 2032 battery that keeps the clock etc?

Is there something special you need to do? You just pop and pop out a new one in and turn it on?

I got a woolies lithium battery is the same manufacturer just different type is this correct?

You got it as a flashlight. Remove the old and put in new. I say to have the laptop powered is to ensure that no parameters are lost once you remove the battery (CMOS) internal. I did it myself and never had a problem.

  • Re: Satellite A210 - 11 p: how to change the GPU shared memory

    Hi all,
I recently bought this laptop with 2 GB of memory.
I just bought 4 GB of Crucial, after doing the scan and it recommends the right Ram purchase.

I installed it and when check in information system's watch than 3.3 GB.
Now that I'm confused because according to this specification on blocks:

«Graphic adapter: memory: 256 MB of VRAM dedicated (up to 1,023 MB memory graphics available using technology HyperMemory with 2 GB of system memory total) "»

It seems that the graphics adapter card has took a little of my memory of the system.
How can I change the settings so that it used only 256 MB or just a little more? I can't find a way to Vista.

    Ta

    * waves *.

Please check this Toshiba document on this subject of 3.3 GB memory.
    http://support.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB7601WE0007R01.htm

The windows and the BIOS cannot recognize all of the 4 GB due to the limitation of the 32-bit system.
System resources need of addressing which overlaps physical memory below 4 GB.
These requirements can reduce available addressable memory space to and reported by the operating system

The GPU sharing only 256 MB.

PS: I read somewhere on the net that the new Vista SP1 which is officially available in 2008 has solved the problem with limitation of 32-bit system

    Best regards

  • T430: Cannot change the GPU using the NVIDIA Control Panel

    Hello world

I recently bought a T430 including a NVIDIA NVS 5400 M. games graphics card (for example, Max Payne 3) used to run fast, using the NVIDIA GPU. Today, I tried to play a video game once more (after having not played for several weeks). Unfortunately, my OS (Win7, 64-bit) assigns the GPU from Intel, resulting in a much lower speed. Using the NVIDIA Control Panel, I can't change my favorite GPU (changes will not be saved). I already run a update of Lenovo and installed the latest graphics driver (296.88), which resulted in no improvement.

When you start a game, I can choose my graphics manually, but I would like to configure some general settings using the control panel.

    Do you have any solutions?

    Thank you very much.
