The laptop I just bought two months ago.
Need help please, I really need the laptop urgently.

Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your message on the problems of file system on your new PC Win10 and wanted to help.

There are two different issues that can cause this problem: the corruption of the file system (1) and (2) failure to road.

Although it is a relatively new system, we will treat the second first following these instructions to test the hard drive: test a hard drive in the BIOS. HP® customer support

My guess is that will succeed and the player will not display as failed.

The first problem is more difficult to deal with, you will need to do the following:

(1) remove the drive from your PC

(2) connect the player to a job by using a USB of PC-to-adapter disk key

(3) download and install this tool on the other PC: free Partition Manager - Partition Wizard Standard AOMEI software

(4) use the tool to run a file system on the disk check

If that does not solve the problem, while the PC is still under warranty, you must contact HP customer care directly so that they can put you in contact with HP Technical Support to see what they can do on the diagnosis and repair of your machine remotely.  If they determine the defective disc, you should be able to get a free replacement under warranty.

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

NOTE: once you get through, stay on the line until you are finally able to talk to someone ' one - it can take a while!
-------------------------------------------
However, HP customer care is generally not available on weekends, so you may have to wait until Monday to contact them.

Good luck

Product name: Pavilion m6-1061er reinstall Windows on the laptop

    Serial number: [personal information deleted]

Windows7 Home was broken, but the hardware is OK. I have no disk with Windows 7 Home.

I have the sticker on laptop with symbols

    Product key: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX

    [Personal information]

My request is: how to install Windows 7?

    Hello

    There are two options available.

    1. you can order a set of replacement recovery disks using the link below - it will reinstall the operating system, all the drivers, and almost all of the original software (the exception being often tests of MS Office).  They will also recreate all of the original scores, including the recovery Partition.

    Order HP recovery disks.

2 another option that you might consider is to create your own Windows 7 installation disc.

Before you try the following, make sure that you can always read the character product activation key 25 on your label Windows COA (5 blocks of 5 alphanumeric games).

An example of a COA label can be seen here.

You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself using another PC - just download the good Disk Image ( this must be the same version that originally came with your laptop - it is listed as Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit ) from the link below and use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly on a blank DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is here.  These Images are clean and a very respected source (Digital River).

    Windows 7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit

Use the disk to perform the installation, enter the activation key of Windows on the label of the COA at the request and once the installation is complete, use ' 'phone Method' described in detail in the link below to activate the operating system -this made method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who want to just have a new installation of Windows 7 without additional software load normally comes with OEM installations.

You may need, additional drivers and software are here.

    Hello

Especially after the upgrade to Windows 10 Windows 8.1, the recovery partation will not work. Then I suggest you to create the recovery disk before you upgrade to Windows 10.

  • Re: Questions on the first boot of the laptop

I just bought a laptop series Satellite L500D Pro and tried to start it for the first time. However, when Windows has started, he asked a user name and password, and I put none as it was the first time I started the laptop. If someone could help, that would be much appreciated.

Also, if anyone knows if there is a problem with the laptop or just Windows 7 computer, it would be also appreciated if you can report.

    Thank you

As I remember, when I bought my tour there was no any name of user and password. And do not... Repeat this procedure:

If she still asks for password, contact your dealer (store you bought) and explain this problem.

  • HP Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC: cannot install the Bluetooth driver

I have a HP Pavilion dv6 A1U55AV who had a hard drive failure. After replacing the drive and the installation of the operating system, I was able to get all the drivers reinstalled except bluetooth. First of all, the HP support site gives me three options... Looks like it should just give me a. Which should I use?

I tried to use the Intel PROSet Bluetooth Driver, but I get the following error on my machine (FYI - Windows 7 Professional 64-bit Service Pack 1 is my operating system).

I'm using the correct driver, and if so, why the installer does not work?

    Hello:

If you are sure that your laptop came with built-in bluetooth (the Realtek 8188CE wireless card can come in a combination or card bluetooth not combination), then this is the bluetooth driver you need for this wireless card.

Yes, get out of the hard drive and connect it to another PC. Get assistance from your service manual for the procedure to apply for, it:

  • HP Pavilion Dv6 Notebook PC: Cannot adjust the brightness/contrast

    Hi all

After a new installation of Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium on my HP Pavilion dv6, I find that I can't adjust the brightness/contrast of the screen. Initially, I had installed a generic pnp Monitor driver, but after reading a solution which recommends to uninstall, I did, but to no avail. I have also tried installing HP Support Assistant, scanned my laptop computer for outdated drivers and have installed the recommended drivers, but I am always faced with the same problem.

If you provide me with any details on my laptop, let me know.

    Thank you.

    Hello.

I realized later that I had 215 updates of windows install. After I did, the problem solved itself, but I think that among the updates has been one for the graphics driver.

    Thanks for your response!

  • Need help please, bios sees the new hard drive but still cant boot from the cd-rom

HI there, Im having some problems here. First of all, I have a Dell Dimension XPS Gen 2 with BIOS A06. I replaced the original hard drive to 120 GB because I received a stop error code with a new 320 GB (000000 x 24 or somethinglike that) but after research I was convinced it was the reader. I installed the new drive and the BIOS sees it under drive as primary drive SATA configuration... It's good, I guess, but now when I go to the sequence of hard drive I get (1. Unknown device (not installed) 2. System BIOS 3 boot devices. (Not installed) USB device) why the drive is not displayed here?

OK, so now when I try to boot from a CD-rom Home XP I get "strike F1 to retry boot, F2 for Setup utility. I can't seem to get around this problem any time now. I can get it to boot from a floppy disk, but not the CD, why is this? The two CD-ROMs are appearing in the BIOS as second master and slaves. IM really stumped on this one, please help!

  • Pavilion dv6: Notebook does not receive the signal of 5 GHz

Hi, recently I bought a new modem router with the capacity of 5 GHz. After the establishment of the net, my laptop does not have the SSID. Other devices receive the SSID and connect to. How can I check, discover and recognize the net working at 5 GHz

    Hello:

Most likely your laptop is only a single wireless card band (2.4 GHz) (model ending in bgn suffix).

Virtually no consumer class computer laptop HP made at the time came with a wireless card dual band (model ending in abgn or agn suffix).

Even those made today... most of them still have cards of single band.

Do Option 2 in this tutorial to check corruption of system files:
    http://www.eightforums.com/tutorials/3047-sfc-scannow-command-run-Windows-8-a.html

Temporarily disable all anti-virus programs before the victory 8 to 8.1 update.
