HP Pavilion 17 G6Q75UA #ABA: display looks like washed or bright

I just bought this pc that it is an open box purchase, when I discover web pages white color and white balance looks good, however, when I discover a dark page, or play a game with dark backgrounds, the screen looks washed out as you have tilted the cover and look at the screen from the top downwards at an angle. I did the recommended updates, calibrated the screen using the pre installed, tried to use the brightness of the screen using f2 and f3, nothing seems to work, I think I know why it was returned to the store, and right now, I tend to do the same thing, unless this is a real simple fix or a setting that I can't find. I know almost nothing about win8 then it's maybe part of the problem. any help would be great.

Thank you.

OK so I bought another 17 Pavilion, an upgrade to the last one and still the screen is washed out, it, after doing some research more it would seem that the angle of vision is part of the problem and another part would be the display type itself.

drivers and BIOS update is not the problem because the pc is new and all new drivers and bios updates have been loaded and applied.

I return it also and be looking for another brand, thank you.

    Hello
I use a laptop with vista service pack 2 and I tried to update windows via windows update on the recommendation of the support page from microsoft on how to unload a debugger. There are only three optional updates available, I forgot what they are and after restarting the computer the theme looked like windows 98 and my without wire might work, and also, I was still having problems with the game with the question of the debugger.

    What should I do?

(And Norton) McAfee applications are known to not uninstall (or upgraded) themselves. The 'remains' of McAfee may be cause of your problem.

    1. download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    4 test cycle.

NB: If the application pre-installed McAfee subscription or free trial period has expired before you install Threatfire, the latter may not have installed correctly and can not work correctly since you installed it.

  • Qosmio G10 - display looks like a checkered flag

    Hello

All of a sudden the other day, my screen became has what I can only describe as a checkered flag (very small squares).

I downloaded both spyware / driver cleaner / registry cleaners / optimizers, but nothing seems to solve the problem.

I can boot into safe mode and see the screen, but when I try to remove the nvidia display drivers I get all these errors:

The system cannot find the specified file.
    software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstal l\nvidia drivers

    Item was not found
    software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstal l\nvidia drivers

    Item was not found
    software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstal l\nvidia drivers\subcomponents

    There is no more files
    software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\uninstal l\nvidia drivers

I then boot normally (after downloading the latest drivers from the toshiba site) and install the drivers but the same thing happens.

The screen of the checkered flag is not always the same thing or same color. If I could do a screenshot I would, but I can't.

I'm tempted to do a full reinstall as I tried to fix this for 3 days now with no luck.

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

    Hi Eric and Caz,

    You are welcome.

HP for your PC specifications indicate that he left the factory with Win Vista, 32-bit, SP1, Media Center.

Software download site and the driver of HP lists no (original or updated) driver for the GeForce 6150se graphics.

NVIDIA has a 32-bit or a 64-bit driver update are released in 2010.

the 32-bit version is available here.

    64-bit version is available here.

You could try a recovery of the plant. You have recovery discs? Unfortunately the recovery disc for your PC not available suppliers of disk recovery HP or third party such as Best2Serve or surgeons of the computer.

The last option would be to buy a low-profile, low-power graphics card compatible with your Slimline and install the new card and the drivers provided by the manufacturer of the card.

  • My MacBook Air screen looks like "safe mode".

I ran diagnostics & everything checked. I've upgraded to the latest operating system. The display still looks like crap. Can it be some setting? I'm not a geek (but I gave birth to a few) so I would appreciate some advice on where he can blame. OH and I just upgraded to el Capitan, hoping to get rid of some malicious software, but it's still there. Can this be the problem, I first have to solve?

I would get rid of the malware in the first place, because in general it is very annoying to have on your computer (I guess you get all sorts of pop-up windows or your computer is idle). It is also possible that it influences of various parameters, display for example settings. What is the malicious program, you've found? Have you tried to run Malwarebytes to remove it?

You can get Malwarebytes here (it's free): https://www.malwarebytes.com/antimalware/mac/

If Malwarebytes doesn't help, don't worry, you can always remove it, it just means that you need to find the files to remove yourself. Tell us what malicious software you have and we will help you.

With respect to the screen, I would try a different screen resolutions. When you go into the system, display preferences, you should be able to select a resolution. I recommend reading this article: http://www.imore.com/how-change-display-settings-your-mac

Just to make sure, you use only the display which is part of the Macbook or you use one or more external displays?

  • How can I make the work/look like a Thunderbird 2 Thunderbird?

I used Netscape/Mozilla/Thunderbird Mail since the middle / end of the 1990s and was disappointed by the changes after Thunderbird 2, so I went years of Claws Mail, but it is not enough for everything. How can I make Thunderbird current work/look like version 2? In other words, I would turn off the tabs for messages & research, including all traces of what it looks like a label, or space curved GUI / additional shadow separated, so also have only a single search box that will search and display in the current folder box and keep the menus easy to use (with shortcuts that appear when you type) standard for GUI programs While getting rid of the imitation chrome button. I guess that the tabs are okay for things like dealing with Add-ons, but that's all. Maybe there are other things I can think. I know that most/all this can be done in terms of configuration and I think a lot of people would like that there is a full article on it. Virtually everyone, many people that I talk about e-mail also let Thunderbird for all these reasons, of it being too influenced by web browsers, and the IRC channel is virtually dead, so I came here, hoping that this place is not as dead with what happened with the project (announcing that no major update will be When most of the people preferred it maybe before the latest GUI major updates)

  • Changed my version 28 a month ago and since then the richness of the content appears, my gmail it looks like something from 1998.

Gmail looks like content since the 1990s, except all the Javascript seems to work. Everything moves, rotates or does what it is supposed to, in a visually poor way, the point of being unusable (for purely emotional reasons). I found no help from suggestions to influence the problem: safe mode: looks the same; Apps disabled: same; uninstalled: same; Reset: even. Puzzled

Looks like you are using a high contrast in Windows theme. What you see is perfectly normal (well well, in the sense that it is expected behavior). With a high contrast theme, Firefox does not display background images. This affects not only web pages, but also the tiles on the new tab Page (topic: newtab). If you need to switch to a Windows theme regular support, see below.

  • Can I get the new version to look like an older Firefox?

I like Firefox to death, but today he planted a lot and forced me to reset it, leaving me with the new Chrome theme that I hate. Is it possible that users can do the new look like an older version of Firefox, because Mozilla do not recommend you to download an older version?

The adblock button is probably in the bar at the bottom of the screen.

Use Ctrl - / to view this bar, then right-click on the menu bar and select adjust (Image), and you can drag its icon to where you want.

Using the right-click menu, you can choose whether to display menu bars.

  • The table display looks faded

I use a table on the façade as an indicator to display rows of data periodically on average.

The color table is washed out and I can't change them.  I don't speak of cells; I mean the line bar and scroll border.

There must be a way to get a table to display them with decent contrast.

    Any ideas.

Post your real VI and not just a partial screenshot that does not look as if it were even a part of LabVIEW.

How did you create this?  Is it possible that you have changed some colors of fonts within the façade?  Anything you might have done in the Windows system settings?

In fact, I think you just need to check the properties of the table, according to me, it looks like you have set it to disabled and Greyed.
