  Zoom subtitles? Never heard of this. On my Toshiba I didn t find this option.

  I try to write my thesis at the moment and am hampered by my laptop! It keeps randomly, which brings to the top of the blue screen of death, then by restarting; When everything is loaded to the top, I get a "serious error" message that says "error caused by the device driver. As far as I know, all the programs I have are compatible... I was advised to restore the factory settings, which I did a few months ago. And I got the BIOS update for my computer. But it is always the case!

  If it helps, the programs I use daily are Microsoft Word, Access, Powerpoint, Internet Explorer and MSN Messenger. I do not run any games high spec (only Minesweeper occasionally!)

  What can I do? Does anyone else have this problem? Any advice would be much appreciated, because these accidents do not help us to my work!

  Follow these steps to try to solve your problems of boot.

   

   

  Restore point:

  Try typing F8 at startup and in the list of Boot selections, select Mode safe using ARROW top to go there > and then press ENTER.

  Try a restore of the system once, to choose a Restore Point prior to your problem...

  Click Start > programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore > choose another time > next > etc.

  If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

  Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

  Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

  At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

  When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

  Download the Vista software from the link above.

  After installing above ISO burning software, right click on the Knoppix ISO file > copy the Image to a CD.

  Knoppix is not installed on your PC; use only the resources of your PC, RAM, graphics etc.

  Change the boot order in YOUR computer/laptop to the CD/DVD Drive 1^st in the boot order.

  Plug a Flash Drive/Memory Stick, BOOT with the Live CD, and you should be able to read the hard drive.

  When the desktop loads, you will see at least two drive hard icons on the desktop (one for your hard drive) and one for the USB key.

  Click on the icons of hard drive to open and to understand which drive is which.

  Click the icon for the USB drive and click on "Actions > Change the read/write mode" so you can write to disk (it is read-only by default for security reasons).

  Now to find the files you want to back up, just drag and drop them on the USB. When you're done, shut down the system and remove the USB key.

  I heard that Toshiba does not introduce DVD Lightscribe software (to customize the cd/DVD virgins) as OEM software. Is there a way I could get it on my series of satellite P without having to buy an external hard drive?

  As much as I know for the Lightscribe feature, you need the special optical disk drives that support this option. It is unclear to me Toshiba ratings support this, so I'm afraid you need some external m solution (external drive).

  When closing my laptop, I got the blue "screen of death" and it restarts, windows came with this analysis of the accident: "error caused by the memory problem to live: run the Windows tool".   I just got a great help here, and everything worked.  However, now when I run the code, I get error caused by the remote command on my counter (Agilent 34461).  However, when I run in debug mode by clicking on the light bulb, this error occurs.

  I had exactly the same problem. It worked for me:

  1 uninstall antivirus (mine was AVG free v9)

  2. plan chkdsk on reboot

  3. restart

  4. now, CHKDSK runs and corrects problems of disc he

  5 re-install AVG

  Try it and if it works post a response so that others know that ot worked for you also.

  I just installed OK icon for USA Today on my "BOLD". The icon is there, but when I select it, I get "unsupported media type: application octet_stream" or "unable to connect to the internet, try again later!" The internet is fine as can get in simply by enetring what URL and it penetrates very well. Just does not work when you use the icon. I'm on BES, just in case this has nothing to do with it.   Question for everyone.

  My laptop (with E.G. 8) is in the shop so I use my P.E. 7 edition on my home computer to create a simple project.  After attempting to add a clip of four circles (indeed, all 4 clips are very small, anyway), I get this pop up error:

  «Add a media error - there is not enough memory to add the requested media.»

  Now, I can tell you that on my computer, 90% of my work is sitting in an external hard drive of 2 terabytes.  I have over 200 GB of free space on my computer at home.  This new short project is one of the only projects currently sitting on my desk.  It is there no way that I'm out of memory.

  Currently, while typing this question on this forum, I defragment my hard drive and do a disk clean up.  Maybe my settings are disabled?

  Any ideas?

  If you are in a time crunch, you should consider burning the chronology contained in the record and then taking the the VIDEO_TS folder

  recorded in a program like ImgBurn for DVD-VIDEO on DVD production.
