As the title HP Pavilion g4 1125 dx, Windows 7 (Home Premium) 64-bit processor, 2.6 GHZ AMD says.

Here's the story. Had at best buy with geek squad black tie. Cracked screen. returned, returned, screen works fine.

Then I turn it on one day and it cannot connect to the internet. Usually no problem. Run the diagnosis, can not solve the problem.

Tried everything fix but still does not.

At work when I got it, when I came back he connected, but I noticed it worked intermittently, and now it has stopped working all together. Is there a simple solution or do I restore settings?

    Hello

From what you describe, it looks like a hardware problem with the wireless card.

Is your laptop still under warranty?

If this is the case, you can contact HP and arrange for the repaired laptop.

If you live in the United States, contact HP here.

If you are in another part of the world, begin here.

  • HP pavilion 500 - a60: erratic internet connection

With the help of hp pavilion 500 - a60. 3 years.  Just go to uverse internet.  Several times per minute for 10 seconds let connect to internet and flickiering of thin lines on the screen.  Att says tech problem is w/workstation.  It was suggested that it is to old for higher speeds of the internet.  Running @16. 75 Kbps.  Also the virus/malware issue.  I found some maleware and it was quarentined.  Do I have to old one computer or is there a problem of processer, virus problem?  Thanks for the help.

    Hi there @Packie33,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that you are having problems with your internet connection.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

First of all, in response to the assertion of a fact on your system by being too old for a connection high speed, it is false. Your computer is configured with Windows 8 or 8.1. Computers that were there when Windows 98 came out were capable of high speed internet of one kind or another.

A more valid concern is what is happening on your computer or with the hardware or virus/malware problems that you described.

I suggest that you first cross this document: HP - slow Internet troubleshooting (10, 8 Windows) computers, but for the time being refrain from Step 7. You can try your ISP again later.

Depending on whether your connection is wireless or wired try one of these documents:

HP PC - Troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 10)

HP PC - troubleshooting wired home networks (Windows 10)

After everything checked and if your connection is still slow, then try contacting your ISP again.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • HP Pavilion g6 - 2288ca - Wireless internet continually fall

    Hello

Approximately nine to ten months of passes, I bought a laptop HP Pavilion g6 - 2288ca, C2N59UAR product number, Windows 8. Recently I had questions where wireless internet will fall without warning. I have already established that the problem is not with my router or your ISP, so I can only assume that there is a problem with my adapter wireless, either hardware or software-related. Usually, I can connect to my internet at home without any problems. However, as I said, the internet has declined suddenly on my computer when it can be demonstrated to work well on other computers and devices connected to the internet in my house. Now, the thing runs the resolution of problems and you reboot my adapter wireless usually does the trick. Unfortunately, it is often a temporary solution, while the connection is usually immediately after a few minutes. I tried to manually update my drivers, but which seems to have been unsuccessful. In addition, the rate at which it falls seems completely random. Sometimes I'll reset my adapter and it'll work for the next six hours, and sometimes I'll reset and he drops in thirty seconds.

Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this? These problems have not appeared until recently, and at this point, I am considering just do a system restore.

    Hello:

If your laptop is unfortunately Ralink wireless adapter, this is a common problem with this card.

You can try to update the driver, but most of the time that it does not help.

I had an HP laptop for about 3 years now.  It used to connect to the internet fine but for 6-8 months, the only way I can connect is by disabling the security password on my hub.  My internet provider says that this is the age of my laptop - is this true?  I love this laptop!

Thanks for your help. A combination of driver download and Virginmedia sending me a new super hub seems to have solved the problem. I can't believe the difference. Thanks again, Angela

Here is a tool of W7 that is over looked by computer geeks.

Search bar, type MRT. Click on it and then use the tool to scan your computer for malware.

There are a lot of things I would do if I had your PC in front of me.

For me the most important thing is to have a computer free of viruses.

You can also run this software. Download the free version and scan your PC

  • Pavilion a6500f loses wireless Internet adapter

I have a Cisco WUSB600N wireless adapter which loses the network and the Internet after several hours.  The only way to restore is to restart.  I get the error message Windows cannot automatically bind IP network protocols.  The computer has an NVIDIA chipset and I have the latest drivers (WIN7) for the NVIDIA GEOFORCE Board 7100/630i and the adapter.

Need help my spouse continues to wonder why it has not bought a computer starting with a D based in Round Rock, Texas

I simply disabled IPv6 on the adapter wireless through advanced properties (no need to box regedit or order > ipconfig/release).  Apparently, many combos of router/adapter (especially older routers) cannot deal w/ IPv6 under Windows 7.  I guess I could check for the firmware on my BELKIN 6 + router Mimo (model No. F5D9231 - v.41) but it seems to work now so I didn't try it.

Funny, but it affects only one of the three HP computers.
