  • Connection/W-Fi Internet keeps dropping out

    Hello

my internet connection keeps dropping out, about once every hour / half-hour. It is not connect again by itself. It is not the router itself, because my previous laptop and other familymembers laptops do not have this problem.
The connection comes back when I remove the plug and put it again (to the router), but it is still frustrating to keep seeing your connection go without any reason.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

Can you please tell us what model of laptop do you have?

    Hey guys,.

I bought a Toshiba Satellite L850 laptop a few months back and recently my Internet keeps dropping until I restart the computer.

The icon of internet access down to the right of the screen which should show my wifi signal strength shows no bar highlighted with a yellow star on it. When I try to click on it nothing happens.

Other icons work fine only the internet access icon hangs until I restart the computer after that I have internet again and the icon back to normal.

FYI the icon looks like this

There may be another program that causes the problem, if that's the case, you will need to follow the steps on the following link to start your computer in a clean boot state that will identify what type of program is originally: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310353

If this does not work, it is possible that the hardware is defective, there could be a bad connection or another vice that causes the problem.

  • 500-100 wireless signal keeps dropping out.

I just bought a brand new office of 500-100 a HP to replace my self built the aging of the desktop machine. The problem I have is that the signal wireless guard stall at random times, could be 3 times in 5 minutes, could be once in 30 minutes. My router is a Wirelss 5953 method.

I've never had problems in the past with signal dropped, my phone and pad remain connected and the old pc used to be ok. Is that because I bought this machine that things started to go wrong.

The intensity of such signal indicated by the bar remains at 4 all the time, then no reason (well, I guess that there must be a reason ) a little yellow exclamation point appears above him the connection limited to words. to get the connection works again, the only way is to disconnect and reconnect again.

    Suggestions anyone?

PS. It happened again I wrote this...

Thanks for the advice, but I fugured it myself after some trial and error. At HP support online for an hour, they took control of my desktop computer and change a few things, but it was always the same. So, I moved the pc into the room with the router and hard wired it in, no problems for 2 days.

So I then unplugged and relied on the wireless, once again no problem for 2 days. Hmm.

Returns the pc in the original piece and it cooled down the signal DESPITE a 4 bars signal and only 5 m away.

So... in this new pc wireless card isn't obviously a top model of the line.

Bought a booster wireless D-Link OfficeWorks (cheap) and plugged into a wall outlet in the same room as the pc,... There's been 2 weeks now and not a single drop out...

    :-)

  • On Tecra M4 wireless connection keeps dropping out

I have a Tecra M4 and I use it my brother home with her for months and all netgear wireless network suddenly without changing my laptop network keeps drop the connection, even if there is always a full-power signal.

One minute, it is connected then it just says auto but is not attempting to connect again. Normally, it will connect for a few minutes and then drops and will connect again on its own.

    Thank you

Try disabling the "zero configuration wireless service. It can happen that a neighbor of yours has also installed a wireless network and therefor your laptop is down the connection to find another router. This service is not really necessary, its just there to search for a better connection. You can reactivate at any time again.

I'll describe the steps below on HOW DISABLE the 'wireless Zero configuration service ":

    (1) open 'control panel'---> 'Administrative tools'---> double click on "Services".
    2) scroll down until you see the 'wireless zero configuration' and right-click on it. Now select "Properties".
    (3) in the "service status" area, choose the option "STOP" to stop the service
"(4) Finally, where it is said: Startup type (it's a menu drop-down), choose"Disabled"in order not to allow the service to start the next time you reboot your system.

If there is continuous so that he abandons the connection now test your system. If not, your problem is solved, if not... re - activate the service and wait for more ideas.
Whatever it is, come back to share your findings,

    Best regards and good luck

  • Satellite L650/1MC - WiFi and LAN connection keep dropping out

In the last two weeks, that my wifi connection dropped regularly - only a reboot solves the problem. Because it became so frequent (and boring) I returned with an ethernet cable, which worked OK for a few days, but tthat hen started making the same thing: no internet connection.

I must emphasize that my other active wifi (android and android phone Tablet) kit continue to connect to internet via wifi etc, even when the connection of the laptop has fallen. This leads me to suspect that the problem is mobile partner no router etc. relates. The laptop is rarely used on battery, so I do not have the power as a problem management.

I have a Satellite L650/1MC running W7 64-bit. I made no changes to my system recently which may give rise to this problem - everything works perfectly until a few weeks before.

I checked for updated firmware updated on my router in the case where it is the question - it's not.

Any suggestions to fix this annoying would be welcome!

    > I checked for updated firmware updated on my router in the case where it is the question - it's not.

Have you tried to reboot the router?
Since the two connections (LAN and WLan) stops falling, I think that the router is the problem.
OK, two other android devices seems to work properly but the fact is that router shares automatically and possibly IP addresses, the IP address cannot be assigned correctly.

However, you can check the WLan and LAN TCP/IP protocol settings.
Uninstall the TCP/IP v6 and use only the v4 TCP/IP for LAN and WLan.

Also ensure that your security programs (firewall & anti-virus software) don't affect the internet connection.

  • Fixed Skype calls keep dropping out

    Hello

I run a small design studio and rent a landline Skype for my customer calls which I use with creative headphones. Unfortunately, every time someone calls me after 3 or 5 minutes, he gave up and I have to call back them and apologize. I have the latest version of Skype for mac.

I'm Mac opperating system Mavericks or 10.9.1

Using a BT wired with Ethernet router with good speed.

    He drives me crazy!

Anyone can help or maybe has a similar problem.

It is the memory allocation? Or my BT? Or Skype? Help!

I found the solution to this and I thought I'd post it here.

Basically, we have infinite BT at work and by default it boasts an active wifi BT framework, not to be confused with the wireless settings, but the wifi BT means people can piggy back on your broadband. It is outrageous that BT Bill share you your BB with others but that's why I switched from a landline to Skype BT. Your loss of BT

Anyway just go your BT router via the Admin Panel and deactivate the BT wifi setting, it was clipping and drop my calls on Skype. He is fine now. It takes 24 hours to activate.

It will not effect the broudband.

  • Wireless keeps dropping - Satellite L50-B-1NL

My wireless keeps dropping out without reason.
When I select the Notification icon, my internet is highlighted (on) and I is one of the two issues, leading to the two in the same issue.
    (1) the status of WiFi is just referred to as available networks (and then the wireless constantly connects and then decreases;
    (2) flight Mode icon is highlighted (on) and the WiFi icon is highlighted (on). I did not choose the airplane Mode or touched anything on the laptop before that happens. Flight Mode is initializing on its own, without entry.
Either of the two scenarios may occur at any time, 1 hour after turn on or, for example after a continuous use 5 hrs.
The problem is solved with a reboot and then works fine for a random delay.
I have a full antivirus and Windows Defender, or my own VP can find any virus that might be the cause.
    Any help gratefully received.

And note, it is not the router as I am not having this problem with my Android phone or box + the sky, the connection is stable

  • Satellite A665-S6050 - wireless keeps dropping

    Hello

I have a Satellite A665-S6050 who keeps dropping my internet connection every 15 minutes. I'm sure this isn't my router. This happens in my library home, second home, main, Starbucks, appoint you.

I have to click on the connection many times sometimes disable internet and then reconnect or restart the computer, etc.. The weird part is that the window that appears when I knocked on the connection icon in the right corner of the computer shows that I am connected, but the small icon itself has that. on this subject. I'm so sick and tired of remove connections in the middle of paying bills and others, it becomes really aggravating. This just started a few months ago.

Is there someone out there who has had this problem and can tell me how to fix it? Thank you!

    Hi ctay122,

Let me guess. This happens while you are using the Eco mode on your laptop, right?

I ask this question because I noticed the same behavior on my Satellite A660 and the reason is that the WLAN Card for energy savings settings will be activated in eco mode to save energy. What you have to do is disable management feature in the power management Windows for the power of energy WLAN eco profile. You must configure the network card wireless for maximum performance, then the connection will not be lost.

    Check this box!

  • Equium M40X - slow internet packets dropped

I use a wi - fi connection and my pc keeps dropping packets from time to time (and also not connected via LAN) making my internet connection is a bit slow.
I had my wifi router has changed and he always does.

Reflection on the upgrade of BIOS and wireless driver here but it of too risky, time-consuming and can it not cure all cases.
My gut feeling is some process is suddenly from time to time and slow things down (my mouse movements sometimes freeze for a few seconds).

I have AVG Anti-Virus installed, you run scan and no viruses found.
I've defragged and run the registry cleaner.

Any ideas I can try to find out what is the cause. see you soon

    Hello

I put t know if it s really a problem!
I very often use WiFi and I noticed a similar issue.
But it really depends on the site and server I connect.

However, the WLan driver update should be done initially to check if this could sort the WiFi issue but to be honest I m not sure if it is a WLan problem, due to the fact that this also occurs when you use the local network.

I think you should check if a Windows updates are possible and available.
If the new versionis available BIOS, check if the BIOS update helps.
The use of a firewall might have a bad influence on the transmission too!
