HP Pavilion A14Ld-550 desktop: this office has a replaceable graphics card?

The HP Pavilion 550 desktop computer - A14Ld has a replaceable graphics card? I often hear on an integrated graphics card, it is the question that I am trading for this model, and it has 4 GB memory graphics dedicated with AMD Radeon R5 graphics card and an AMD A8-6410 processor, 8 GB of memory and a 1 TB of HDD with Windows 8.1. So, is this model with the characteristics I've listed have his replaced graphics card?

The answer is NO, because the HP is not a 550-A14Ld graphic slot PCIEx16. The actual GPU is anchored in the CPU chip. The concept is a like a laptop computer in a matter of funds. The real PSU (power supply) is really a brick 65W, very similar to a computer laptop power supply. I'm so glad you asked!

  • What does that mean? -This problem occurred because your graphics card does not support the required version of DirectX. This version of Windows requires a DirectX 9.0 compatible video card or newer.

I tried viewing a presentation power point and got to page 2 and my computer crashed.  Thought on... what he did previously trying to display a PPP file, but I thought that it was not my computer to the actual file.  now I have my doubts and also this time an error message came that said... This problem occurred because your graphics card does not support the required version of DirectX. This version of Windows requires a DirectX 9.0 compatible video card or newer.  can someone tell me what I should do next?

You left out which version of DirectX has been shown.

As far as I know, your Intel 945GM should support DirectX 9 and because you have XP sp3, you must have at least DirectX 9 installed.

I met the following, but it shouldn't apply to Powerpoint:

Some such as the Intel 945 GM Intel video cards have a design limitation which may cause problems when you try to run the Source Engine games. 3D graphics kernel does not support transformation of material, light and the vertex shader to similar technologies, which is an important part of the pipeline of 3D acceleration. Instead, this functionality is emulated in software that can reduce the compatibility and performance with 3D games.

I don't have a solution for you (assuming that DXDIAG, in fact, reports to have DirectX 9 or higher).  You can see if you install a new driver support, but if it were me, I would be first contact Acer technical support or ask your question in another forum as one of the following conditions:

    Intel graphics Forum: http://communities.intel.com/community/tech/graphics
Forum PowerPoint: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/powerpoint (select the corresponding forum for your version of Powerpoint).  Include the results of DxDiag, including the version of DirectX.  If there is something unusual about the image that causes the crash, include this info as well.

Normally, for notebook/laptop computer, it is better to get the drivers of the mfr of computer rather than the manufacturer of the device.

Acer drivers for your computer are here: http://support.acer.com/us/en/product/default.aspx?tab=1&modelId=535 (you want the Intel VGA for XP driver)

Intel has a newer driver: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Internet+Devices&ProductLine=Netbooks&ProductProduct=Mobile+Intel%C2%AE+945GM+Express+Chipset+Family

  • Upgrade of Windows 8 has changed my graphics card driver, & now I get vertical bars on the screen.

Upgrade of Windows 8 has changed my graphics card driver, & now I get vertical bars on the screen, sometimes flashing. It is sometimes difficult to use the screen, especially when it has a dark background. It is a HP Desktop quad core with card Nvidia GEForce 9600.  I tried to roll back the driver, but that didn't help. I assume that the driver I need is no longer available. I also went to Nvidia to try to find a better driver that would eliminate this problem, but no luck.  Before, this came with an update on Vista, & I could correct in the way to roll back the driver. Any help would be appreciated.

  • HP Pavilion 256na-550 desktop: would a RMi Series™ RM850i - 850 Watt to adapt in a HP Pavilion 256na-550 desktop?

    Hello!

I was just wondering if the RMi Series™ RM850i - 850 watts 80 PLUS® Gold Certified fully modular PSU (UK plug) would be able to adapt to a desktop HP Pavilion 256na-550?

If this isn't the case, then can someone recommend me a powerful diet that would fit in it.

    Thank you

    Greetings,

Compare the measurements on the 850 to your current diet.

    I just installed a Corsair RM650x in a 810-150se desire.

A Rm750x was too long. It would fit but you couldn't get to modular to the power supply cable connections as the optical drive was too much.

A 600 Watt power supply 650 watt should provide more than enough power to run everything you plan to add to the system.

Only, you can check this by checking all the measures. You may have a problem with installation of a 650 watt PSU.

    See you soon!

  • I have a Pavilion dv6 laptop and I want to upgrade the graphics card

I'm the product: HP Pavilion dv6t - b 6, 00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC

    Product number: QJ912AV #ABA

Operating system: Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit)

Graphics factory-installed: Radeon HD 6490 m + Intel(r) HD Graphics Family (but I spend the Intel 3000 drivers)

My graphics were problems since I got my laptop and I didn't realize what a few months after when I did a check on why my graphics running on low FPS. I called customer service and they could not solved the problem, so I started to do the research and updating my drivers for each of them and switching them too. I have finally fixed them and instead to run Minecraft on 22 FPS, I was there at more than 60 FPS.

Now, this graphics card is good and all, but there are not adapted to the new games (and I've had this laptop 1 year). What don't get me, is why HP installs some old graphics chips in a new laptop. in any case, I want to see what I can put in the new card. I really want to install and Nvidia 650 m, but I don't know because I don't have any information on my motherboard and it is manufactured by HP. Why I want to improve it is because that 1.) This chip sucks and can't play the games of 2005 and more than 2). He cannot run newer games like I'm a player PC of BF3. I get a strong brand of 28 FPS on BF3-ultimate low quality on this game, he reached sometimes 30 but not much. I want this thing to run as good as my game desktop computer that is custom built, so I really want to know what works with this laptop.

Please help me to know what works so I'll be better satisfied with HP products.

Read this document. This has been implemented by one of the community experts (erico).

The answer is usually going to be no upgrade that has been done on the graphics card as this is usually soldered to the motherboard and designed to work with specific chipsets. The fact that this example uses the switchable graphics actually still less likely. I'm sorry.

PC hardware is changing at a rapid pace, so you get a day probably will be obsolete in a few months if not sooner. I personally ordered a laptop and there was already a new model of the series which has a better processor and graphics card to this topic. Alas, I was outside the return period and could not take advantage of the new model.

This largely depends on the software used, but cell phones are not usually able to achieve the same performance as a desktop game PC. My laptop performs as well as my office during playback of half-life 2, but there is a big difference when I play Crysis. The experience will depend on how the program is written and how the game engine is optimized. It varies from game to game.

    JoBla, welcome to the forum.

It is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure that the latest components will work in an old computer.  Your computer is almost 3 years old.  My suggestion is to choose the SSD and the video card you want to buy and contact the Technical Support of the manufacturer to determine if it will work with your computer.  They are the experts on their products.  This will save you the possibility to pay for the return of one of them.  That's what I did and it works fine.

I can recommend a PSU 600W (PSU), however.  I love Corsair products.  Here is a very good power supply.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  There is a modular version of it, too.  The modular power supply is good for medium-sized cases.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary.  Which makes for airflow and better cable management.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

I have a Pavilion Elite m9340f and I was wondering if I could update my graphics card and if so what would be a good choice. Also can I upgrade my power supply?  A friend told me that I could not, because it's a computer brand, but thought I would ask someone with knowledge.  Thank you.

Robert, here is a link to the "Product information" pages for your computer:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/prodinfoCategory?LC=en&DLC=en&cc=us&lang=en&product=3740326

These pages will give you all the specifications of your computer.

Yes, you can upgrade your video card.  First, you want to make sure that there is enough room for one of the new cards to fit.  You can find this information on the manufacturer's website.  I would say we could use until a 9800GT.  I think the cards are 9 "up to 10.5".  I like XFX, BFG or EVGA cards.  They are geared toward players and are of high quality.  My favorite is XFX.

Now for your power supply power supply unit (PSU).  It can also be upgraded.  the key is to open the case and measure the existing unit.  To ensure that new fits, it should be very close to the same size.  Most ATX units are pretty close to the same size.  I recommend at least a 600W unit.  This is what I have in my game rig:

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817341001

Again, OCZ is a company that is geared to the players and fans.  They have very reliable products.  I have one in their PSU and memory.

One last thought, a new video card will generate more heat.  Thus, some cables will be very useful.  Simply run all cables so that they do not restrict the airflow to all components.

    I hope this helps.

  • HP Pavilion p6-2143w: motherboard will not switch to the graphics card: Sapphire Nitro R7 370 4 D5

I also tried looking for a bios update, but I couldn't find one that was on the hp Web site.

Please help I don't want to buy a new motherboard and cpu.

    Hello

Most graphics cards require BIOS version 8 HP.  BIOS version 8 is listed under Windows 8 for your particular model PC.  While the BIOS version 8 will probably support your new graphics card, you might find yourself stuck that Windows 7 will not work using the UEFI. You can install BIOS and then turn on legacy mode and see if the card works. However, if the card is a single card UEFI well then you are in a situation of 'catch' 22 In this case, you would have the BIOS later and W7 should always work in legacy mode.  Even with this BIOS update running in mode inherited that there could be some risk that W7 will not work.  Once you update the BIOS there is no coming back.

    Another thought.

There are no Windows Ultimate 10 version if upgrading to W10 (free upgrade) would you put on the professional version W10. I do not know if that would suit your needs. However, if you have a place in the upgrade by using the W10 iso DVD or flash drive then you could extract the W10 license key so that your could do a clean install with legacy mode turned off in the BIOS that puts your PC into UEFI mode.

You have a few risks to consider.  In addition, HP has not posted the W10 for your PC drivers.

What would I do?  I'd go for it, but then my wallet could be deeper than yours.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook N5P52UA #: need to upgrade to a better graphics card Intel HD 5500 graphics card

I just downloaded and installed the video editing software, Blackmagic Design "DaVinci Resolve". The first launch this program popped up a warning that my graphics card is unable to be aware of the program.

Device Manager showd Intel Core i3-5020U at 2.20 GHz and Intel HD Graphics 5500. Is the HD Graphics 5500 graphics card, that the program referred to as? Or is it another graphics card. If it is the graphics card, the called program then what graphics card do I need to manage video of Davinci Resolve installation work?

And, for a WAG response, (guess wild donkey), I need will need more than 6 GB of RAM for the DaVinci Resolve progtram?

One of the HP laptops, Gaming should be ideal for video editing software. They are priced at $899 and discrete graphics. Learn about the options available.

15 Omen, I currently have as a loan of HP product would be a large notebook of video editing.

Two of these laptops come with 8 GB of memory installed, but you should consider having 16 GB for video editing.

    Pavilion i7 [email protected] (2011)

Try to upgrade graphics GeForce 545 again card ASUS Geforce GTX 750Ti.

HI - after the installation of the new card, I get a blank screen after the initial configuration of blue screen. I've already read of different threads detailed on exactly that but don't know what to do.

I have a few options of what I can understand.

    1. a thread tells me how to get into the Setup menu and 'disable secure boot' - others tell me it won't work not (?)

    2. Another very detailed thread says I must upgrade the BIOS to version 8. I just did an update via the HP support, but it's still version 7 - automation leaves me not install a newer version - not even sure if I should or how to (?)

    3. There is another thread;

    Hello

Interesting quotes, probably some from me.

Here's another thought for you.  Graphics cards same "not all graphics cards work in all PC" that work in a particular PC will not work in fact similar or the same exact model.

Looking for a NVIDIA 660 or 670 and a power supply correspond to the recommendation made by the manufacturer of the graphics card.

BTW - you probably won't see a BIOS version 8 for Pavilion models with the processor i7-2600.

  • HP Pavilion 174ng-550 desktop: BCM 4313

    Hello

My apologies for a newbie question. I recently installed the BCM4313 mini PCI adapter in my new office. It was announced as "InConcert Wi - Fi and Bluetooth coexistence", to support, so I assumed that it would provide bluetooth and WiFi. Wifi works fine, but there is no sign of bluetooth in the settings. I made a mistake? Or I need drivers more? The card is in a mini PCI PCIe 1 adapter for the moment. I'll copy it to the mini PCI slot on the motherboard when I get my hands on some braids longer. It only costs 9 euros, so no great loss. But I would like to make it work if I can. Again sorry for the noob question.

    Concerning

    Matthew

    Hi, Matthew:

Some of the 4313 have BT and others do not.

If you don't see the familiar BT icon in the devices Manager or Manager on the lower right side of your taskbar, your 4313 is one of those without bluetooth.

Here's the BT driver for this card if you want to try it, but I doubt it will make a difference because you should see a generic bluetooth if adapter card was a radio BT aboard.

This package contains the Broadcom Bluetooth driver for the supported models that are running a supported operating system. Broadcom Bluetooth driver is necessary to enable the Bluetooth of Broadcom devices.
