HP Pavilion Desktop PC 500-290: video card

When I want to run two models, I bought an additional graphics card, but when the pc restarts the two screens are black. even the monitor which is connected to the built-in VGA port.

I need to remove the new graphics card so that the built-in VGA works.

Thank you.

If the PC requires the BIOS to be set up by this document on inheritance, then do with the integrated graphics card.  Then once it is finished, install the new card and use the output of the card after that.

  • Pavilion HPE 440F: need new video card for HPE-440F

    Salvation;

The ATI Radeon HD 5570 in my Pavilion HPE 440F appears to be dead, or is doing. The fan has stopped working and I think the map has overheated.

    I'm running Windows 7 x 64.

Anyway - I would like to install a new card - and best video. It is, since it is HP, I bet that not all cards are compatible with my system.

For example, I can buy an ATI Radeon SR-290, which gets much higher than my current card pass mark. Or maybe even a NVidia card might be a better value for the money.

Can someone point me to a list of compatible video cards for my system?

    Thank you

    Ubuntu_Kid, welcome to the forum.

The problem you are having is, most of the newer video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released on August 26, 2010.

Some of the manufacturers have developed a VBIOS that will allow their cards to work with legacy BIOS.  I know that the EVGA has done with some of their cards.  I suggest to call their Tech Support (1888-880-3842) to see if they have a card that will work with your computer.

  • Pavilion H8 - 1160T: upgrade the video card

My AMD Radeon graphics card failed (empty 1 screen, 2nd all the vertical lines on the screen) and upgrade to a 900 NVIDIA graphics card.

As I understand it, my motherboard is a legacy bios and cannot support video cards that need a bios, UEFI (which would include 9XX NVIDIA cards).

Based on the info below my first question would be... my bios from the motherboard to reset/upgrade of a UEFI bios?

(game video and moderate flow)  Yes, the latest video cards do not for UEFI were the GTX 660/670.  I suggest that you pick a card mamufacturer and contact their Technical Support for assistance.  MSI has a GTX 750Ti which is equipped with a switch so that it can be used with a Legacy BIOS.  You can check with them to see if will work with your motherboard.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f: update video card

A PNY gtx 950 should physically be in a HP Pavilion Elite HPE-210f? I already know that I have to upgrade the power supply, but before shelling out more money, I figured I would see if anyone knew if the card fits?

    KKingotu, welcome to the forum.

The problem you will have with the GTX 950 is, it requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Your computer was released on February 5, 2010.  There is no way to update the UEFI BIOS.  You can contact Technical Support PNY to see if they have a VBIOS update for the video card that will work with your motherboard.

Meanwhile in the space provided, you can measure e/s rear plate on the front of the computer case to see if any of the components.  In addition, it is a wide double card (two locations).

  • HP PAVILION DV4-3008TX: cannot detect Video card (Radeon 6750 m)

    Dear Sir.

I would like to know why my laptop can't detect my graphics (Radeon 6750 m). It shows that construction graphic card intel. I already try to use system restore and restore the original factory mode. It will appear but after updating my drivers and restart my laptop.  My laptop cannot detect the video card again.

Please help me solve this problem

    for you reference

    http://Tinypic.com/r/2it67ex/8

You will need to activate the card Radeon HD using the Catalyst Control Center.

Once you do that the adapter appears in Device Manager.

If you use the Intel HD graphics card, only the graphics card Intel will be seen in Device Manager.

I know that may seem strange, but it's one of the features of having a switchable graphics capable laptop computer.

The following URL goes to a switchable graphics overview. Take a few minutes and read it. It should help to simplify the understanding.

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/product/HP-Pavilion-dv4-entertainment-notebook-PC-series/5048648/model/5072629/document/c03048374

Not install the Intel graphics driver separateely!

This interrupts the switchable graphics feature.

Install only the HP ADM ATI graphics softpaq. It will install the two drivers automatically and allow you to use the graphics switchable featrure og your laptop.

  • HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-f208: dedicated video card can not seen in BIOS

Good day Sir/Mam...i recently bought a HP Pavilion Notebook - 17-f208nx and I wonder if the dedicated video card is can be seen in the BIOS?... cause when I go into the BIOS I don't see the card... thanks video dedicated to help.

    Hi @nextor ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. It's a great site for information and questions. I looked at your question about your Notebook of 17-f208nx HP Pavilion Notebook and concerns regarding the graphics not to be seen in the BIOS. That it is up to your motherboard, it is usually on the Advanced tab. If it is not listed in the BIOS means that you will not be able to change the options.

    Thank you.

The GeForce GT530 that comes with the machine said on the card what is the PCI Express 2.0 bus support.

The plug from motherboard says it welcomes PCI Express x 16 graphics cards.

You are welcome.  Thank you for the additional information.

I talked to Technical Support for all major video card manufacturers.  All of them said that their cards later would UEFI.  The best thing to do is to contact Technical Support for your card to see what they have to say.

  • Pavilion A6724C must update the video card, suggestions?

My son wants to be able to play COD on my pc, but the video card from the factory is the way to slow. Can you suggest a replacement card which is decent for the games but not super expensive or require changes to the power supply?  Thanks for any help.

    Hello

There is the version of 512 MB ddr5 on the link below.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16814130531

There may be differences between the marks.  The main factor that govern what will work in your PC's power supply 300W - you should know the minimum requirement of the power supply of the card that you intend to buy, as anything that requires more than 300W is unlikely to work properly, or not at all.

    Kind regards

I've been out of the arena of PC game for many years. With the release of Skyrim, I seek to get back in and want to update my card low video supplied with the machine (ATI Radeon HD 4650).

Problem is that I am naïve about what will work with it. I'm looking for the best ATI card based I can get for less than $200 that suit and will work without upgrading of power supply. • Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t: Pavilion HPE-180 t update video card

    Hi all -

I'm hoping to get an official word on the question of whether my machine (mentioned in the topic) is able to handle a graphics card, I just picked up.  The port seems compatible and there seems to be room, but I'd be more comfortable upgrading if somebody here has estimated that the hardware is compatible.

The map I picked up is a Radeon R7 - 260 x - CDF.  If you do not feel that would work, is it a good (affordable) map out there that I could pick up that will be?  Thank you!

    Hello

Check with the manufacturer of graphics cards specific and find out if the video BIOS on the card will work with a PC that uses a legacy BIOS.

Find out what the return policy is before you buy.

Thanks for posting on the forum.

  • Pavilion HPE h8-1330z CTO: video card dying fan, tried to replace the card, the computer does not start

This Pavilion comes preinstalled with a nVidia GeForce GT 630 graphics card. The fan on the card goes bad - the card smells "burny" when I run, the fan works really hard and the computer crashes while playing graphics-heavy games.

I tried replacing a PNY Verto GeForce GT 730 2048 MB DDR3 card. But now, with the Verto installed, my flag starts, it crashes just on the HP splash screen. I can not start safe mode nor can I access the BIOS settings.

Care of the Verto seemed to think it would work in my Pavilion - PCIe 2.0, at least 300W PSU. I searched online for help but can't find a solution for my problem.

    Any tips?

I checked the support page for my Pavlillion and I noticed a updated driver for my computer's BIOS. I installed and it seems to have solved the problem.

While most of the offices did not have built in microphones, and yours does not work, a microphone can be plugged into the port to give this capability.  Just buy a microphone for use with the application.

  • the HP Pavilion Desktop 500-329 GPU upgrade

Hello! I was wondering if it is possible to upgrade the GPU and the power supply of my

    HP Pavilion Desktop PC 500-329

The GPU is a GTX 960 and the PSU is a 500W EVGA power.

I read that I had to turn on legacy something with the computer with the f10 boot menu. I made this and just want to know if it's possible.

Yes, you can upgrade, simply follow the recommendations of the manufacturer of the graphics card on the connectors and the power of the power supply.

You have a PCI Express x 16 (Gen 3.0) card slot there will be plenty of choice for video cards.
