HP Pavilion dv3 - 2005ee RECEPTION LOW

I just bought a HP Pavilion DV3-2005ee and I have problems with my wifi reception. IT IS REALLY LOW! ...

I could compare with my laptop "nine" roommate, a brand of ASUS. He managed to pick up around our apartment wifi signals, but with my CV, I can't pick up any wifi signals at all.

Y at - it something I could do to improve my reception outside the purchase of an external wifi device. Lets face it what it, nobody wants to carry any external device by going out for coffee and bring your laptop for free wifi, right?

So could someone, at - it help me with this?

Please do not hesitate to help. Thank you...

  • Downgrade from vista to XP pro on Pavilion dv3-2005ee (need drivers)

    Hello

I want to downgrade from vista to XP SP3 because some old games on does not work on vista as Hitman:codename 47 and TheSims... etc.

Then... I need help to find the driver for this laptop. I did a forum search for my model and found nothing.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

Before that we'll start with her, I have something to tell you. Decommissioning of this model is not always easy, and your model is designed to work well with Vista. Please check first that link written by Joshua Wood and concentrate on problems that may appear when you install the sound card in it. I don't know then it's dv5 guide, but a lot of hardware and drivers are the same for both models. It is recommended also by me to print this guide and information on the problems with the sound card.

First make the Vista backup. Here you have all the information, how do.

You have a folder with the drivers & programs that can prove very useful after downgrade XP. Copy the folder in C:\Swsetup on DVD Before you format your hard drive.

Now you need to integrate your drivers Sata (only x 86 drivers) win nLite.

Here is the guide how to do it and here are AMD SATA AHCI Controller for you. Just unRAR it drivers with winrar.

Remember, also, that you use the Windows XP SP2 version. If you have not got the version SP2 here you can download this service pack

and here you guide how to integrate this file with your new system of nLite.

In this program, you can even burn your new XP cd with this driver.

I need to find replacement for my 6 year, HP Pavilion DV3-2165ee, there still works but the problem is in the main frame screw holes are all broken due to high temperature and its use. Then everyone here knows where I can order this part?

Manual links are low right now, but it is likely that you need more of a piece. Not sure, I know what's a "built". Here is the list of Partsurfer parts for your model:

The envelope of frame base is 531807-001

There are a few on eBay right now and it is the least expensive:

  • Pavilion DV3-4060es: 4060es Pavilion DV3 CPU upgrade

    I tried to upgrade the laptop (pavilion dv3 4060es) i3 350M to i7 740QM cpu.

When I plug the processor I get no video.

I have the latest bios intalled (F.23, March 2016)

The service manual indicates that the i7 740QM is a compatible processor.

    What is a compatible processor?

What do I need to configure something in the BIOS before upgrade?

No, you make a very common mistake. You cannot just look at the list of processors and assume that one of the processors will work in all versions of this series. Look at page 17 of the manual. Different system cards are listed as follows:

For use only with Intel Quad Core processors 611348-001

For use only with Dual Intel processors Core and Core2-599414-001

For use only with Intel Quad Core processors (1 GB) 622627-001

For use only with Dual Intel processors Core and Core2-622626-001

So you need a motherboard Quad in order to install a Quad processor. The fan and the heat sink is the same. HP has more boards in stock so you would need to find one on eBay or contact an HP Reseller:

    https://parts.HP.com/hpparts/Search_Results.aspx?mscssid=01C0D3E563094BBDB6A52308534FEC3D & Searchin' = partnumber & SearchPN = 622627-001

I took a quick glance and came to look empty, but a little harder could turn into something.

  • Upgrade Hp pavilion dv3-4160ee?

    Hello world

I want to upgrade the RAM 8 GB, CPU i7, hard drive to SSD for my laptop Hp pavilion dv3-4160ee? I love this phone, but I want no better? Is it possible? What experts advise me? If possible can you tell how to buy the right parts for this laptop?

I will be grateful for your help

    Concerning

Forget the processor... the i7s of this first generation just run really hot and are not much faster than your i5. In fact, the clock speed is slower, so that they are only better for programs that can take advantage of the 4 hearts which is not a lot of programs. In addition, it is costly and difficult.

Upgrade to 8 GB of RAM and an SSD will be more than enough, and it can be done by the end user without difficulty. Here is the Service Manual:

  • HP Pavilion DV3 - 4031TX Windows 7 32-bit upgrade to 64-bit with the OEM installation?

    Hi all

I have a HP Pavilion dv3-4031TX that came with Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit OEM preloaded.

I want to move to the 64 bit version of Windows 7.

I have run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and confirmed that my hardware is compatible with Windows 7 64-bit.

    I don't mind doing a clean install.

I have my product key OEM with me, but no disc (BONE came preloaded).

Is it possible to switch to 64-bit by doing a system recovery?  If Yes, where can I change the installation options? (as clicking 'Custom' instead of 'Upgrade' in the retail version Installer)

I'm not sure if the OEM installer comes with this option.  Can someone tell me? (screenshots will be appreciated)

Another question, if the OEM Setup program does not come with 64 bit and I have to clean install the retail version, my OEM product key will work?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

No, this is going to work. You definitely need DVD setup and key in your work of peut of the machine. Hope this helps (burn to DVD and use it to install):

  • How can I know if Iam still eligible for my free update that came with my laptop? HP Pavilion dv3

I have a HP Pavilion dv3, I was wondering if I can still use the free update that accompanies it in 2009? IAM in need of an upgrade to Windows 7 or downgrade to Xp for my work.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Unfortunately, you will have to pay for the upgrade to Windows 7. The free upgrade to W7 end around March-April 2010.

The XP downgrade should come at the same time with the machine (IE an installation CD). May be a bit late now, but you can always contact HP to check.
