So the question is what module WiFi 5 ghz I can buy for my book? I mean if no modules wlan (in manual) may not support 5 GHz, will be something like this to work?

Thank you

I've found this module Intel Centrino Advanced - N 6230 WLAN supports 5 ghz, so I'll buy it. close the message pls because I can't find how to do this.

Any suggestions on getting this Intel Wireless Card work?

    I want the 802.11ac with Bluetooth 4.0

I don't understand why this card should not work.  Why HP would prevent me from using that card.  HP will change the BIOS for this card can be used?

    Called HP support today.

It seemed to me more on this topic, and then he did.

    Conclusion.

Do not buy HP.  Why?  Well, I understand that for the FCC regulations, they might want to limit what cards to put.  But my problem is that they do not go back and update the bios with new ones that meet regulations of the FCC.

Do not buy Intel.   If you read the information that they provide User installation is "illegal."

So why that I found this product on Newegg and Tigerdirect.

If you look at the forums that I'm not the only one with a LOT of question is have it.

    So to summarize.

My HP laptop cannot be upgraded to an internal AC wireless with Bluetooth.

  • Error when upgrading module WLAN

    I bought a module wlan "Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 (3 x 3)" to upgrade the module "Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6205 (2 x 2)' accompanying the EliteBook 8560w I bought.  When installed the new module (6300) I received the message:

The system has detected that a module installed in the system wireless is not taken in charge and disabled

    WLAN Module ID (702)

    BIOS version is F28.

Return to the previous module (6205) the error does not appear.

WHA, you decide to do of course, is yours.

You can find the card with the HP part number about it on eBay for much cheaper than you think.

The bottom line is that no wireless card will work in any laptop HP, consumer or business model, unless it meets the criteria I posted above.

Maybe it's not good, but it is so.

  • Update Module WLAN for DV6-7030TX

    Hello

I am interested in upgrading the WLAN Broadcom 4313GN module that comes with my DV6-7030tx and replace it with an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 (part number 670691-001 in the service manual).

However, I saw a number of messages in this forum with possible discrepancies between references in the real part and maintenance manuals.

For example, when I search for the part on the store of spare parts of HP (670691-001), he is listed as "Ralink WLAN Ralink Ripple3 RT5390F_802.11 b/g/n 1 x 1 PCIe HMC".

Can anyone tell if I am able to move to an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 in accordance with the service manual?

Here is a link for the exact product specifications: Pavlion HP DV6-7030TX

    Thank you.

    Hello

Despite my total technical incompetence, I installed the Intel Centrino Advanced N 6235 in my 7002AX Pavilion DV6 (DV6z-7000) and it works perfectly.

Dual band 2.4GHx and 5 GHz 300Mbps with Bluetooth.

No black and white screen, normal start, uninstalled the old drivers and installed the drivers of 6235 recommended Intel N, then a bit of fiddling with my FritzBox router.

I agree with Feliks. Satellite 1900 is an oldie and so it can t be upgraded with an internal wireless card LAN.

Therefore buy a PCMCIA card with WLAN function or a WLAN USB key. On my old laptop I use a stick of the AVM and it works properly. :)

I can't beyond this error message by pressing any key (Esc, F2, F8, etc.). But Ralink 5390 is among the wlan modules that HP has listed. In fact, it's the original wlan module installed. • HP envy 13 d045tu: module WLAN upgrade

I have 100 Mbps internet fiber to the home, and because this laptop is equipped with Broadcom BCM43142 802.11b/g/n Wireless Network Adapter, I usually get 40-50mbps, which is not allow me to fully use my internet speed because of the wifi n standard.

So I was wondering if this model (d045tu) can be upgraded to a WLAN wifi ac module. And if so, what model is compatible?

    Thank you!!

Yes, your laptop is very recent, so there is no problem with the white list of HP, which existed until about 3 years ago. You can install this alternative WiFi card:

    Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7265 802.11 ac 2 × 2 WiFi + Bluetooth Combo Adapter 793840-005 4.0

You could actually install any wireless card, straight form factor, but the Intel 7265ac HP replacement part is probably the best adapter wireless market in this format.

The part above has a different number of the Part of HP, but is the same device. Part number 793840-005 real is $ 60 per amazon.com and this one is $ 24.

As long as the WiFi card has this label to the HP part on that number then your good to go.

  • replace the module WLAN 4710 s

    Hello

I would change the WLAN module on my 4710 s. Inside there is a Broadcom BCM94312HMG and I ask myself, can I replace it with any other module 802.11n PCIe mini - for example: Airport Extreme 802.11n (BCM94321MC)?

    Hello:

Here is the link to the Service Manual of your laptop:

    http://bizsupport1.Austin.HP.com/BC/docs/support/SupportManual/c02694167/c02694167.PDF

See Chapter 3, pages 19-22 for supported wireless adapters.

    1. you can buy only a wireless card listed in the manual, or your laptop computer will not display until you remove the card.

    2. you need TO get one with the HP part number, or your laptop will not appear until what you remove the card.

    3. some of these cards as you can see, vary by country. Make sure you only select the number of the country you live.

    4. make sure that there is no other prerequisites for the desired card by carefully reading these pages.

You can order the card at HP, or do an internet search by HP part number (and not by the model of the card). You should find several 3rd party sellers with the card you want to sell.

  • How can I stop Firefox update itself if it will disable one or more modules that are essential for me?

I am running Firefox 19.0.2 on Windows XP (SP3). As part of my KASPERSKY INTERNET Security 2013 the following modules (all 13.0.1.4250 versions) are installed (a) keyboard Kaspersky URL Advisor (b) of the content blocker (c) money safe and (d) virtual. They were all active and active when the KIS was installed on 17/02/2013, but a Firefox update has disabled all. I want Firefox to update only if all modules are compatible with him, otherwise the existing version should continue unchanged. How do I get there? What is the latest version of Firefox that is compatible with these add-ons?

Without fear, go ahead and install the latest version of Firefox. (Worm 21.0 from June 1). Seriously... don't be afraid. But, then follow the 7 steps below to get you back in the saddle with Kaspersky capable.

    (1) right click on your icon of Kaspersky. 2) click on "settings". (3) in the left sidebar, click on "Web anti-virus". (4) in the next panel, click the "Settings" button... "under"Custom. " (5) (put a check mark in the box "Check URLs" (and everything else you want to activate here). 6) look for the 'OK' button outside of the expert group (is not in the control panel; it is behind this), then click on 'OK '. (7) Finally, click 'Apply' (if you must) and again click "OK".

Best wishes to you and happy computing!
