  Download the LAN driver from the link below and save it to your desktop.

  Then, in the Menu start, open the all programs, open accessories, right-click on command prompt and select "run as Administrator".  In at the prompt, type the following command and press ENTER.

  Now, right click on the installer you downloaded and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When finished, restart the computer and try to connect the cable again.

• HP Pavilion G6 - 2148TX Power Up after replacing the fan problem

  Hello

  After replacing the fan, I have a power issue with the laptop. Basically, the laptop will only fuel on the power cable disconnected to the motherboard. It is by mistake only after the fan has been replaced and everything got back together, I noticed that the battery was not charging.

  I then opened the machine and reconnected the power cable to the motherboard and nothing - no power.

  When connecting to the source of power with the battery in place, adjacent to the power supply lights in WHITE then remains ORANGE and will not. Seeing no other, no fan noise, nothing.

  If I remove the battery, the adjacent to the power supply led in WHITE and white rest however not feed either. Same agin, no LED, no fan noise, nothing.

  Now, I opened the machine upward and disconnected the power from the motherboard. Put it all back together and that the laptop starts as usual with the battery and it works very well. (Well until the battery runs in any case)

  I'm looking for some advice on what the issue could be given my conclusions.

  Well, I've now solved the problem. I bought the DC power cable that connects the motherboard to the socket on the laptop. $15 on eBay.

  Hey guys. I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6-2155dx with a Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 wifi card. The card was to die for a long time now and about to go off completely. All other PCs and phones connect properly to the internet here, except that this laptop connects, but drops to around every 15 minutes, limited connectivity or so and I have to turn off the wifi and then turn it back on to operate for another 15 minutes.   The maintenance manual does not list a Centrino Wireless - N 1000 card. You must not only the correct chip, but he must have a part number of HP.   I already know that there is the partition of re - install that can be used to recover a broken BONE, but if this OS is not the one you want, then you must install the version of the OS from the CD you want, format the drive as part of the installation and continue on the it.

  Once again my question is simply the key F12 serves the same function on HP laptops.

  When I was browsing through the maintenance and service guide, I noticed you have switchable graphics.

  That being said, I suggest you do a recovery in factory.  This will reinstall the drivers of graphics cards correctly and I hope to solve this problem.

  Performing a recovery of system HP (Windows 7)

  During the recovery, there is an option to backup your personal data if you do not have a recently I'd do one now to avoid any data loss.

  Restore files that have been supported to the top using HP Recovery Manager (Windows 7)

  If for any reason any recovery did not resolve the issue please provides your exact model of DV6.

  After a new installation of Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium on my HP Pavilion dv6, I find that I can't adjust the brightness/contrast of the screen.
