  On my Pavilion dv6 - 7043cl, with Windows 7 (64-bit), I had been using the Intel WiDi successfully to the screen of my computer on my 50 LG Smart 3D TV, except for the display of 3D images processed in the correct 3D TV fit-a proven program (Stereoscopic Player).   To try to resolve the problem of 3D, I've updated the Intel's WiDi with the latest version on the Intel site, only to discover that I had missed a message indicating that another version of HP OEM of WiDi has been set up by HP for the maverick graphic processor on my dv6, requiring the HP software update.  Thus, subsequent attempts to use the WiDi Intel--update failed;  computer to TV connection has been detected, but on the TV screen, rather than get a duplicate of my computer screen, I got a box in the lower right corner, saying something like "Miracast connection".  After the disappearance of this box, nothing on the TV and the message on the computer returns to "disconnected".

  I tried to restart - tried again, same result.  Through HP Support Assistant, drilling up to my description of the computer and looking at the updated list.  Under something like "Displays and Multimedia. I found the HP Intel WiDi update and tried to apply it.  Unfortunately, the result was a message that I had already "installed a newer version" (apparently the update I had applied since the Intel web site).  As a result, I thought that I had to reinstall the Intel WiDi basis from a registered source file and update the list update HP rather than use the one on the Intel Web Site.

  So I uninstalled the Intel WiDi of the "programs and features" in the Panel.  Now I can not find a setup file for the base WiDi that works with my computer!   Question: How do you recommend I have restore the HP Intel WiDi for Windows 7 (64 bit) version?

  Try the following.

  First of all, download and reinstall the driver concerned Chipset.

  Chipset Driver - Windows 7.

  Chipset Driver - Windows 8.

  When the installation is complete, restart the laptop.

  Then, download relevant IDT Audio Setup on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  IDT Audio Installer - Windows 7.

  IDT Audio Installer - Windows 8.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When finished, restart the laptop.

  Allow Windows to fully - charge it will automatically load an audio driver, but let just this complete.  Then open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  When this has completed, restart the computer again.

  Pavilion dv6 - 7043cl, after winning 10 anniversary update, stop now with "...". a no longer works... "message systematically when I run Sony Movie Studio Platinum 12;  the stop and the message arrive at the time when the application starts, the screen 'welcome.   When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once this done, do a right-click the speaker icon in the taskbar and select playback devices.  'Speakers and headphones' left click once to highlight, and then click the Set Default button - check if you now audio.

  Hey guys. I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv6-2155dx with a Intel Centrino Wireless - N 1000 wifi card. The card was to die for a long time now and about to go off completely. All other PCs and phones connect properly to the internet here, except that this laptop connects, but drops to around every 15 minutes, limited connectivity or so and I have to turn off the wifi and then turn it back on to operate for another 15 minutes. Its incredibly annoying and I need help to make sure that I have buy the correct replacement so that it will work. Here is the info I have:

  The maintenance manual does not list a Centrino Wireless - N 1000 card. You must not only the correct chip, but he must have a part number of HP.   I have a HP Pavilion dv6 too - I came across your post (and 'Help' of Viki), because my contrast was all out of whack, too (much too bright). Adjust the gamma is nothing - but then I unplugged the power cord from the laptop, waited a second and plugged back in and voila! It's all good now. Don't know why...

  I just finished reinstalling a new windows 7 64 bit on my laptop of uncles engaged. I reinstall the drivers and the only one missing is wireless network card driver. I run the scan on the HP site and it came not with all the drivers for the wireless adapter. It does not show that I have more drivers that need to be installed or updated.
