Pavilion DV6: Laptop battery

Hi there everyone

I wonder if someone can help me here. I have my computer laptop battery die and I am looking for a replacement. Really not found on the market a battery with the same characteristics as follows:

HP - Pavilion Dv6 laptop

HP 593554-001 replacement spare part

10.8V

55Wh

Can someone tell me please in the right direction to get a new battery?

Thanks in advance.

See you soon

No, but understand this isn't a real HP battery. The working hypothesis is simply the ability of the cells. Watt hours. It does not affect the current quantity battery provides the laptop at all times.

If you really want to replace parts of the envelope and don't mind DIY replacement you can use the HP PartSurfer for your region of the world. There is no guarantee that the parts are still manufactured that your model is no longer in production.

Find a spare battery is a matter of searching online and depends on what region of the world you live. I found some for you in the links below. I don't would not sink my money into a laptop damaged. It is, of course, your money and your choice.

I bought it with the radeon graphics card, but after changing graphics card intel HD 3000 what better map graphics radeon or intel I can insert on laptop?

can I put ram at 8.00 4.00 GB or 16,00 Go?

DV6-6c51er is the common model number.

    Here is the Manual:

    Manual

It can handle up to 16 GB memory DDR3-1333 (2 x 8 GB modules).

No way to add a touchscreen. I don't know how you changed Intel Radeon graphics card, unless you have installed a different motherboard. The original motherboard has two graphics chips, so if you install the right driver you can access the AMD Radeon HD M 7470.

The processor could theoretically be upgraded to an i7, but these improvements are rarely economically justified because of the high cost of processors unique and time required for doing the upgrade. Somehow, I think less than 10% of the improvements that we are discussing on this Forum actually. You simpler and better (more efficient) upgrade is to install an SSD. You will think that you have an i7 and 16 GB of RAM.

  • HP pavilion Dv6 laptop: does not start in normal mode, safe mode

    Hi all

I have HP Pavilion DV6 laptop with windows 7 Home premium 64-bit OS. It was working fine up until two or three days.

After that some software upgrades, it has stopped booting.   When I tried to start it in safe mode, it stops at disk.sys.

I don't have win 7 OS CD or recovery CD.  So I downloaded the trail version of windows 7 SP1, I want to install this, but he is suspended the windows logo.  I Googled it has bitten, I loaded a linux kernel and access the hard disk.  I backed up all the files required by using this boot of linux.

I don't know what to do now?  What is the problem with my system. When I ran the drive diagnostic. It was a failure. That means that I can't use this HARD drive?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Concerning

    Stéphane

    Hi stephane,

Well the error code certainly would indicate that the player began to fail, but just in case, you might try to wipe the entire hard drive first and then reinstalling the operating system as described below.

Download and install Killdisk on the link below - (this application will write zeros to the entire disk).

    http://Software.LSoft.net/KillDiskSuiteFree-Setup.exe

Download and install ImgBurn on the link below.

    http://download.CNET.com/ImgBurn/3000-2646_4-10847481.html

Access the application of disc kill you have installed in all programs, open the main folder, then select Bootable Disk creators, then the BACK Bootable CD Creator that will burn the ISO on a blank CD bootable.

During the following process do not worry about all warnings as your Windows 7 installation disk will reformat the HARD drive.

Insert this CD into your PC which is unable to load the operating system properly. Close Notepad, and then start again to boot from the CD of Killdisk and follow the instructions on the screen to kill disk.

A brief description of the process here is Killdisk.

Use it to wipe the entire hard drive, Select (80 h) and press f10 (you will also need to type a confirmation and press enter) - ( This will make sure to include all of the partitions , and then start the process - this may take a few hours!).

When the process is complete, remove the CD of Killdisk and try to reinstall Windows 7.

If it still does not work, I think your only option is to replace the HARD drive.

    Kind regards

    DP - K

You need to download the driver from HP (x). It will not work if the downloaded file has been otherwise.

    Good luck.

    Hello

There is no DVD or CD with operating system. You must create a set of recovery disks.

    Resources:

Using HP Recovery Manager in Windows 7

    There is no paper manuals.

    Click the Windows Start button.

Write in the search box " Documentation HP " and run it. You will find all the documents.

  • Pavilion DV6-6b47dx: BATTERY FOR MY LAPTOP

    I don't know exactly what battery should I buy. In particular, I wonder if it's a 6 o 9-cell battery.

    Thank you!

Here are the parts of the repair:

    (17) to the battery: 9-cell, 100 Wh, 3.00 - Ah Li - ion 636631-001

    6 - cell, 62-Wh, 2, 80 - Ah Li - ion battery 593562-001

    6 - cell, 55 Wh, 2, 55 - Ah Li - ion battery 593554-001

You can use a 9 cells or one 6 cells. The 9-cell as you could find, has a much longer duration but is physically more grand and bulges in the envelope a little. I get still and always the highest battery capacity I can buy.

Real 9elements eBay shipped from the United States

    http://www.eBay.com/ITM/new-genuine-original-HP-laptop-battery-11-1V-93Wh-9-cell-MU09-636631-001-/171328160957?PT=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item27e3f444bd

This is commonly called the MU09 battery and is probably the most common battery HP on the market with the 6-cell MU06... compatible with many laptops HP from 2-4 years old so very popular. $45 shipped is a good price, but if you search around on eBay and online otherwise you could possibly do a bit better.

  • Pavilion dv6-1050us battery charge but not showing as connected after bios update

I have a Pavilion dv6-1050us, and before the update of the bios as recommended by HP my charger would show in the taskbar as well as the battery is charging and it has been plugged in as well as the led at the front left side of the laptop.  Since the update of the bios load icon in the taskbar does not display and the led light that recharges the battery watch is no longer turns upward.  I know it's power goes to the battery because the battery shows 100% remaining and unload only after I unplug the power.  Is there a way to restore the bios to the previous version, even if the bios has been flashed by the HP program uses?

My antivirus program will not scan weekly it is when the system thinks it is running on battery power.  I have to manually start the scan myself.

    Help, please!

  • Pavilion dv6 - 6c04ea battery alert on Start up

    Pavilion dv6 - 6c04ea

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

All of a sudden, I started getting a message on Start Up of the HP battery alert. The message tells me that the battery level is extremely low and that I might have to replace it. There is a web address available to learn more - www2.hp.com/techcenter/startup/ (which address brought me to this forum)

Controller battery charge at the far right of the status bar, tells me that there is no charge in the battery so that I can't use it without the power cord. He also tells me it does not load even if the power cord is connected.

The laptop is 30 months old. Can someone tell me if there is something to try before I go buy a new battery?

Thanks for any help you can offer.

No. 30 months is worth about 65 battery years... not really old, but in the end of the life sector.  You could enter the program Support Center and look for advanced battery information and look to see how many cycles there. More than 350 is a good life. Weird, but it's time to get a new battery just.

  • I have the computer hp pavilion dv6 laptop. where the serial number of the product is written on the product?

Can you please provide the location where the serial number of HP Pavilion dv6 is mentioned? As always, I need to enter this number every time I visit to any client. I have not found that it mentioned anywhere. Please provide.

You can find the serial number of your laptop through one of the means.

    1. The Service Tag (bardcoded sticker) inside the battery compartment of your laptop that would have the serial number of your laptop
    2. Turn off the computer and once you turn on, keep pressing the F10 key to load into the BIOS screen, and you can locate the serial number in the main menu
    3. Power off the computer and once you turn on, keep the button pressing ESC to load the start menu. In the start menu, you need to press the F1 key to load information system
    4. Once you have access to windows, press FN + ESC key simultaneously to find a popup that displays system information from your laptop.

    @SorryHPbuyer

I don't know what model said you it not available for, but HP still stocks recovery disc for many machines to Vista (not all), most Windows 7 and of course Windows 8 machines.

I guess you have a XP or Vista early model? In this scenario, you should be able to get here:

  • Pavilion dv6 laptop Audio problem

Product: Hp Pavilion dv6 Notebook PC

    Product number: QE068UA #ABA

    Windows 7 64 bit

Hello, so here's my problem. This laptop is only three days old, and already I have a problem. So what is happening is that the audio transmission is having a problem. I have 95% use a headset and the audio works fine with headphones. BUT what happened earlier today that I just listened to a few songs and then I got a call from Skype, and just as I began to speak, the sound was messed up. The person's voice played through headphones, but my computer sound (the song) started playing through the computer and not the headset. Then, I tried to unplug my headphones and plug it back in, but then it didn't always work. The only way it worked was if I held the helmet and halfway into the socket. So, basically, I can't really talk to anyone on the computer without computer audio is turned on and messed up. Any help would be good. Thank you!

    Welcome to the forum.

Try this and see if it helps.

Right click on your sound on your taskbar icon and enter the Settings of Volume Option.

Check the boxes for your audio devices.

    Click OK

Now, click on the sound icon and see that you will have a sound control for your devices appear next to each other - there will be a line through them.  If you set the primary audio device, everything goes with it, adjust the other (s), it/they adjust only.

Adjust the checked boxes and sliders to get what you want.

    CHANGES 1

    November 3, 2011

    Sound--> reading--> speakers and headphones-->--> advanced properties

I think you need to use the "Exclusive Mode" setting on the Advanced tab to keep only one application (another) to capture the sound control.  I don't know which application would have priority (or which one you prefer under what circumstances)-I think this is where you will have control over what happens when, for example, you use a Skype headset session and start a game session which (I assume) would use the speakers on the laptop (or external speakers (, depending on your configuration.)  See the graphics down.

    Change 2

    November 3, 2011

    See graphs of 'Communications' down

Note that you can play with a variety of other sound settings (without making any damage) to increase the listening pleasure.  Just go slowly and check between the changes to make sure that you do not have too much too fast.

    Beware of the "improvements".

For example: The Loudness equalization can make a song sound clean and strong, it could deafen and strangle with the next song and make it difficult to hear. It is the opposite of what we want to do.  So desperate, try - if it works, use it, otherwise shut it off.

    GRAPHICS CARD:

Right click on the sound icon:

    Volume Control Options:

    The options resulting:

"Exclusive mode" check or uncheck the box to control the behavior of this device!

    Improvements

    Communications:

It is a setting in the Strait called "Communications" - If you use your laptop to make phone calls, you can adjust this setting as well as others.

Right-click on the icon of your Sound --> click on "Volume Mixer"--> click on the little icon under the word "Applications".

    Good luck!

    I hope this helps you!
