HP Pavilion Elite e9180t CTO D: Will Graphics card work with my desktop computer
I have a HP Pavilion Elite e9180t CTO Desktop PC - AV321AV-ABA e9180t
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit Service Pack 1
Intel Core i7 CPU 975 3.33 GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4850
Motherboard: TRUCKEE 1.04
System BIOS: 5.29
To activate the ray-tracing on the GPU, Adobe After Effects requires a graphics NVIDIA and CUDA 5.0 or later approved.
An NVIDIA representative recommended a GEFORCE GTX 780. The PNY Graphics Card VCGGTX7803XPB video will work with my desk?
Hi there @LeoOfMars
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking to find out if a video card is compatible with your information system. I'm happy to help you with that.
The main reasons to be sure of are normally feeding you, special (to THE) cable power supply for the graphics card, on the motherboard compatible expansion slot, the drivers for your operating system, another thing to know is the physical size of the map, for moments of cases.
Looking at the specs of your system and the motherboard by default, I listed the type of slot of power and expansion.
HP Pavilion Elite e9180t Desktop PC product specifications and configurable Options
Output power of power: 460 Watt
HP and Compaq desktop PC - specifications of the motherboard, IPMTB-TK (Truckee)
Two graphics PCI Express 2.0 x 16 (for graphics cards)
Go to the video card you are looking at:
GTX 780 3072 MB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 OC Custom cooled graphics card
Input power: 1 x 8-pin auxiliary input aux input 1 x 6-pin
Bus type: PCI-Express 3.0 16 x
System requirements:
Mother compatible PCI Express with a slot of chart double-width x 16
Power 600W minimum (with a minimum of 12V current rating of 42A) 3
300 MB of available disk space
2 GB of memory system (4 GB or more recommended)
Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP Operating System (32 or 64-bit)
DVD-ROM drive or Internet connection for installation
DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA compatible monitor
So on a quick inspection of both devices there are three problems, so this card will not work on your motherboard or with the current power.
I hope this helps.

Can I install a larger graphics card in my HP desktop computer all-in-one MS200?
Hey guys, I was wondering if it is possible to install a graphics card in my HP desktop computer all-in-one MS200. I played DayZ, and my FPS is terribly weak. Looking around, I noticed that most of the people say that the problem is that you have a weak graphics card.
Is it possible to do? If so, what graphics card would you recommend that I buy? (I'm looking for a moderate increase in preformance. I really useless a beast of an upgrade, or something like that).
The simple answer would be 'impossible '. Limited models are supported cards MMX, and these are low power.

The "PNY QUADRO K4200" graphics card works with first? Maybe you suggest me another graphics card?
This card should work as its on the system requirements | Adobe Premiere Pro
But first is not take advantage of the advanced features of quadro, and a similar performance quadro vs gtx can cost 5 times more. If you better save your money and go with a gtx. the gtx 950 would be about the same performance as this K4200, but much less expensive. a 970 gtx about 2 x more powerful, but still half the price.

No, the GTX 950 requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS. HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012. There is no way to update the motherboard in the UEFI. Latest video cards do not for UEFI were the GTX 660/670. I suggest that you choose a manufacturer and contact their Technical Support to help them choose the best card for your system.
You will also need to upgrade the power supply (PSU). It is only 300W. Most newer cards require at least 400W to work properly. Although status map specifications at least 300 w, members reported that they had at least to 400W.

Does this graphics card work with my H8 - 1360T?
I plan to put a new graphics card in my computer, but want to know if it will work with it. My choices are 760, 770 gtx gtx or R9 x 280. The 280 x is more of what I want then look in this sense, if you can and if it does not will be the other 2 options?
I will link to the graphics card.

Mrseano509, I see no reason to review the specifications of the card which should cause a problem. I strongly suggest you using Catalyst Control Center from AMD.

Schmatrix, welcome to the forum.
The problem you are having, it is that the video card requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS. HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012. Your computer was released in February 2012. You must contact the Technical Support of Zotac to see if they have a VBIOS update that will solve your problem.

Pavilion DM4 1028tx: 1028tx Dm4 ati graphics card
Hello
My 1028tx DM4 had a graphics card works exactly 3 years, the day that my warranty has expired, the graphics card burned. So in Device Manager, I disabled and was happily running my pc on the graphics card intel HD.
Recently, I found my card on ebay, very cheap, so I bought and replaced it in my lappy. However, now I can't get a helping hand on the graphics drivers. The AMD website gave me a catalyst software, when I install it, it says that my card is not supported. I can't find what card I install. Failed update in Device Manager, windows update is fully on, and it does not give me the driver. I tried all that.
If anyone here uses HP dm4 1028tx, please let me know which ATI Radeon card is. I know its 1 GB, and I think it's 4XXX or 5XXX something. I need to know what card it is so I can try to locate the driver some forums and p2p hosts.
Altrernatively, if someone knows a link to download, it will be pure awesomeness!
Very much appreciated.
Kind regards.
Hello:
ID decodes a graphics ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470
The driver from the support page of your PC should work as I explored the driver folder and it contains support for this ID.
This package provides the AMD graphics driver high definition (HD) and Catalyst Control Center for models of laptop computers that are running an operating system supported. For laptops equipped with switchable graphics modes, this package contains the drivers for the two graphics (GPU). Switchable graphics allow users to switch between a graphical power mode (normally used under the power of the battery) and a mode of graphics performance. If the video output high-definition multimedia interface (HDMI) is supported, this package also installs the HDMI Audio Driver.

a vision tek hd 5450 graphics card work in my PC p6213w?
I wonder if the vision tek hd 5450 graphics card work in my Pavilion p6213w. I wonder if I should find a different graphics card instead. I know I have to buy another power supply, I just want Advisor be cause I play several
Online games and doing the research for the documents from the school. I also use my PC to watch movies and television series like weather reports edge chipset does not allow some of the games and videos to be played correctly anylonger as they changed their policy.
any suggestions for this help is taken into concideration. Thank you very much
Hi Noel,
Vision Tek HD 5450 video card will not work in your desktop PC without an upgrade of the power supply.
Your PC came with a 250 Watt POWER supply and which does not respect the minimum of 350 watts required for the video card Vision Tek HD 5450. Here is a link to the plug of your PC. If you upgrade the PSU, the card will work in your PC.
I recommend that you buy a PSU that has at least the ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V v2 specification. Here is a link to a document on the Newegg.com web that shows some power supplies that work. Stick with major brand names such as OCZ, Corsair. The second level and no name power supply could disappoint you even if they are less expensive (which assimilates sometimes so lower quality).
Best regards
ERICO

P7-1036: what cards work with desktop Pavilion P7-1036
Hi all
I have a desktop computer Pavilion P7-1036 with integrated video, Intel i3, 3.1 ghz and 8 GB of ram. already updated the PSU to power internal 500 Watt power supply (ATX-ILG-500R2) run Windows 10 as well.
I want to upgrade to a video card with HDMI and make a few plays of light. I tried two cards without success, each installation ok but monitor freezes on the splash screen or stays black. After that I removed the card everything works well again. I guess I'm missing something in the configuration or possibly need to know what video cards will work with this motherboard.
Any help would be great appracieted
I've tried so far without success of cards
NVIDIA GE force GT 720 - 2GB
MSI R5450-1 GB
Thank you
Hello
Dell's OEM specifications may be different compared to the specifications of HP.
The reality is that there is no guarantee that any particular graphics card will work in any particular PC, even if the graphics card works in other PC or even the same or similar model PCs. Know what the return policy is before you buy.
Thanks for posting on the forum.

None of my graphics cards work, not even in safe legacy!
As the title suggests, none of my graphics cards work for my pavilion p7 - 1597c. The only way I can see my screen is when I have no graphics card in probably due to the fact of secure boot. It does not work even with this option disabled. So, I must also have a slot pciex16 security disabled to make it work, but now I can not detect any of my maps I have. I have disabled the start safe and active start inherited countless times with a bunch of different options without success. Having to remove my countless of times graphics cards is very annoying so I can reset the settings and try the different settings. Maybe theres something wrong with the bios? But I don't know, I'm just really mad that I can't play my games in my library of steam because of this.
Here is the article I've tried: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653226
Used graphics cards:
MSI AMD RADEON 7730 1GD5
AMD SAPHIRE 7770 1GD5
NVIDIA GTX 660 1GD3
Well I fixed, so for all models of p7 - 1597c, you must have the legacy mode and you must also have enabled pciex16 to secure, but it also disables the use of your other two dvi ports. This case is now closed.

HP Pavilion Elite e9180t - replacement motherboard
So some time, HP has done a service to replace motherboards on defective Elite systems. There was even a Web site configuration to help with it (www.hpelitedesktopsettlement.com).
Unfortunately, the site is no longer active and all links to HP's internal documentation are not valid as well.
One of my clients has long lived with the random blue screens, and we're finally going through the review process it.
Who should I contact to get this replaced motherboard?
Please see the information available on the HP Pavilion Elite Desktop Class Action Lawsuit settlement on the LWSEP for the HP Pavilion Elite e9150t, e9180f, e9180t, m9600t, m9650f, e9280f, e9280t and computers e9290f. "If the court approves the proposed settlement, HP will post on its website a notice on repair program with instructions on how to make eligible arrangements to receive a repair. You will have 90 days after this notice was posted to contact HP for repair repair. "It seems that HP has posted the LWSEP notice on or around 12/01/2011 and that's why you got until about 01/03/2012 to take advantage of the LWSEP.
Previously, I suggested that people "contact HP customer support directly and see if they will replace the Commission under this program has expired." Please post back with your results. If you are not successful, I can try to contact HP on your part.

Pavilion p6-2489ea: will be this Graphics Card work on my PC?
Hello
I'm looking to upgrade my current graphics on this PC card a NVIDIA GT630 for an Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti.
My current features on the PC are:
Model: HP Pavilion p6-2489ea
Motherboard: h-joshua-h61-µATX
RAM: 8 GB
Power: 300W
CPU: i5 - 3350P
I understand that I may also update my 500w all about food but other than that I just wanted to know if my PC would be able to support the graphics card GTX 750 TI?
Hello
Consult this publication of the article.
Some models of the NVIDIA GTX 750 TI require a PCI-E power connector 6 pin auxiliary. The 300 watt PSU is not this power connector. If the particular graphics you plan requires the auxiliary power connector, then you need to replace the power supply. If this isn't the case, then you don't need to replace the power supply.
Your PC has a BIOS version 8 so the NVIDIA GTX 750 should work.
There are published of the updates to the BIOSof your PC you can consider applying the last update. There is always a risk of the BIOS update. I keep my PC on UPS to avoid having a power failure during the BIOS update process. You must disable Secure Boot in the BIOS and save the changes. Then start and apply the update to the BIOS. A your PC is stable and then install the new graphics card.
