any suggestions for this help is taken into concideration. Thank you very much

Hi Noel,

Vision Tek HD 5450 video card will not work in your desktop PC without an upgrade of the power supply.

Your PC came with a 250 Watt POWER supply and which does not respect the minimum of 350 watts required for the video card Vision Tek HD 5450. Here is a link to the plug of your PC. If you upgrade the PSU, the card will work in your PC.

I recommend that you buy a PSU that has at least the ATX12V v2.2 / EPS12V v2 specification. Here is a link to a document on the Newegg.com web that shows some power supplies that work. Stick with major brand names such as OCZ, Corsair. The second level and no name power supply could disappoint you even if they are less expensive (which assimilates sometimes so lower quality).

Best regards

ERICO

  • None of my graphics cards work, not even in safe legacy!

As the title suggests, none of my graphics cards work for my pavilion p7 - 1597c. The only way I can see my screen is when I have no graphics card in probably due to the fact of secure boot. It does not work even with this option disabled. So, I must also have a slot pciex16 security disabled to make it work, but now I can not detect any of my maps I have. I have disabled the start safe and active start inherited countless times with a bunch of different options without success. Having to remove my countless of times graphics cards is very annoying so I can reset the settings and try the different settings. Maybe theres something wrong with the bios? But I don't know, I'm just really mad that I can't play my games in my library of steam because of this.

Here is the article I've tried: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03653226

    Used graphics cards:

    MSI AMD RADEON 7730 1GD5

    AMD SAPHIRE 7770 1GD5

    NVIDIA GTX 660 1GD3

Well I fixed, so for all models of p7 - 1597c, you must have the legacy mode and you must also have enabled pciex16 to secure, but it also disables the use of your other two dvi ports. This case is now closed.

    Hello

I'm looking to upgrade my current graphics on this PC card a NVIDIA GT630 for an Asus NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti.

My current features on the PC are:

    Model: HP Pavilion p6-2489ea

    RAM: 8 GB

    Power: 300W

    CPU: i5 - 3350P

    Hello

Consult this publication of the article.

Some models of the NVIDIA GTX 750 TI require a PCI-E power connector 6 pin auxiliary. The 300 watt PSU is not this power connector.  If the particular graphics you plan requires the auxiliary power connector, then you need to replace the power supply.  If this isn't the case, then you don't need to replace the power supply.

Your PC has a BIOS version 8 so the NVIDIA GTX 750 should work.

There are published of the updates to the BIOSof your PC you can consider applying the last update. There is always a risk of the BIOS update. I keep my PC on UPS to avoid having a power failure during the BIOS update process. You must disable Secure Boot in the BIOS and save the changes. Then start and apply the update to the BIOS.  A your PC is stable and then install the new graphics card.

    Hi there @LeoOfMars

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! It's a good place to find the help you need, so many other users, the HP experts and other members of the support staff. I understand that you are looking to find out if a video card is compatible with your information system. I'm happy to help you with that.

The main reasons to be sure of are normally feeding you, special (to THE) cable power supply for the graphics card, on the motherboard compatible expansion slot, the drivers for your operating system, another thing to know is the physical size of the map, for moments of cases.

Looking at the specs of your system and the motherboard by default, I listed the type of slot of power and expansion.

HP Pavilion Elite e9180t Desktop PC product specifications and configurable Options

Output power of power: 460 Watt

HP and Compaq desktop PC - specifications of the motherboard, IPMTB-TK (Truckee)

Two graphics PCI Express 2.0 x 16 (for graphics cards)

Go to the video card you are looking at:

    GTX 780 3072 MB GDDR5 PCI-E 3.0 OC Custom cooled graphics card

    Input power: 1 x 8-pin auxiliary input aux input 1 x 6-pin
    Bus type: PCI-Express 3.0 16 x

    System requirements:
Mother compatible PCI Express with a slot of chart double-width x 16
Power 600W minimum (with a minimum of 12V current rating of 42A) 3
300 MB of available disk space
2 GB of memory system (4 GB or more recommended)
Microsoft Windows 8, Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP Operating System (32 or 64-bit)
DVD-ROM drive or Internet connection for installation
DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA compatible monitor

So on a quick inspection of both devices there are three problems, so this card will not work on your motherboard or with the current power.

    I hope this helps.

  • Appropriate power supply? (HP Pavilion p7-1010) and this graphics card work on my computer?

I try to add a graphics card to my computer (HP Pavilion p7-1010), but before that I need to replace the power supply. I have a graphics card which is the Powercolor Radeon HD6670 800 MHZ 1 GB GDDR3. The Powercolor Radeon HD6670 800 MHZ 1 GB GDDR3 appears it should work on your computer. I think that the specifications of the cards require a 400 Watt power supply. Please consider the Corsair CX500, CX500M, CX600 or CX600M because they are highly recommended and are known to adapt to most HP computers class consumption of office.

  • What graphics card work on a p7-1026 Pavilion without a power supply upgrade?

I just bought a Pavilion p7-1026. This is my first of all the computer set purchase because I always had my made-to-order systems. The CPU and the size of the hard drive and the plug is quite good for the price (I was looking for a cheap replacement for an old office) but I would like to make a few other updates. I'll add another 8 GB of memory, but I would also add a graphics card because I don't like the built-in graphics card.

Is there a graphics affordable (about $100) with a minimum of 256 MB of memory, which runs on the power supply 250 watt existing and with no electrical connection needed? I watched some, but I've seen as low as 300 watts. If I need to replace the power supply, how can I find a compatible with this system. I looked at a site ('911' something) that has had a lot of listed HP models but not this one.

    Jay,

Beyond that, you walk down this road, you really need to open the case.

It only has 4 slots for memory and probably (2) 2 GB and (2) sticks of 1 GB of DD3-1333 PC3-10600.

Your will does not add anything, you need to replace all with 4 GB sticks (4) If your planning an upgrade.

New models are hard to return. You'll need to find the power supply model # for all references.

BTW, this characterization of 250W is mounted. The (constant) nominal value is most likely 200W.

  • OptiPlex 360 - graphics card working on PCI-e 1 x only

HI: I was rebuilding a regenerated Optiplex 360 MT in a light box. Updated to Windows 8. 1. Update bios to A07 and all drivers from the chipset for later. Updated the CPU to an Intel Core 2 Duo E8500. Everything is going well so far. Wanted to upgrade the video card in the old Radeon 3450. Bought a MSI Geforce GT720 because it requires little energy to adapt to the constraints of the power supply.

Card installed fine and works OK, except for one important detail. Executes the PCIe 1 x link, rather than 8 x (this card works max 8 x instead of 16 x, I think that because of its low energy consumption). I confirmed in X - CPU and GPU - X.

Have tried a number of things:

-replace the old card to confirm he was running the PCIe x 16. He does.

-deleted the Gforce drivers to seeif that makes the difference (he didn't, still 1 x).

-reinstall all drivers Gforce and updated at the latest

-reran the Bios A07 update (Bios at startup show execution A07)

-read through all the old posts I could find here and on Toms Hardware solution - see nothing beyond what I tried.

Only thing I can think is to drop the video card in an another Optilex 360 to see if it at 1 x on this machine also works to eliminate a problem with the slot PCIe himself.

Someone at - it any other suggestions? This card will work everything just not at more than 1 x in a PCIe 1.1 slot?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Apart from that, is not a bad little machine (considering the minimal cost to update).

I suggest to download and install the Client of Battlenet and try World of warcraft and fiercest and Diablo3 etc..

Also, I recommend that you install Directx June 2010 and re activation Dotnet 2.0 to 3.5 in Panel, programs and features, add windows components.

Do the windows 27 947 updates that must be made during 10 restarts until it says is updated not more.

It could very well be that, unless you get a X 16 card bios assumes that all other cards are X 1.

  • NVIDIA graphics card works well with windows 7

I have a Nvidia 8600 M GS installed in my HP dv9000 Laptop and my display driver does not work as it should.  Contrast, brightness, Gamma, etc... do not adjust as he should, and I find myself with yellow shades and shadows in my desktop wallpaper. I replaced the motherboard, thinking that the chipset was defective. I have the same result.  Any direction to a display driver that works for windows 7?

Whatever the problem, it's not directly because of Win7.

Have you downloaded the graphics drivers from HP? It is usually better to get the driver for

laptops from the mfg rather than Nvidia.

Note that despite the advice to use the latest drivers that do not always apply to older hardware.

You're often better off to stay with older drivers, so if HP has continued to release new drivers for

your 8600 m at one time'd you generally better stick with them.

However if you want, you can try the drivers from the Nvidia site. If you read the release notes but

I think you will find that there is no beneficial optimizations for your 8600 m.

    ------------

This driver is well considered universally stable with GTX 400 and 500 series cards,.

that are more recent than your 8800 Series generations. I would be the

best option if you want to try a 'recent' driver on the Nvidia site (March 3, 2013).

    http://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/59645/en-us

Note: Do not use the devices or Windows Update Manager to install the graphics drivers.

Uninstall the current drivers via programs and features and don't forget to uninstall all the

Graphic driver NVIDIA - driver, PhysX, 3D, HD audio - components

Reboot before installing the new drivers.

I tried a GeForce GT 610 2 GB and it did not work.  Check the use of the GTX650-E-2GD5 (DPT) power and make sure that it is less than 25 watts (see below)

    Quick notes:

    1. the location of PCIe x 16 is actually a "full-size x 8 slot" (also known as an x 16 slot / x 8) and the video card needs to work in this type of accommodation.

    2. video card power (TDP) is a limiting factor. Technical guide Dell says "the system supports a maximum power of 25 W for all four cards PCIe.»  and said Dell owner's manual "ATTENTION: to ensure correct cooling, not more than two cards of four extension may have more than 15 W power consumption (maximum 25 W each), not to mention the integrated storage controller card."
