HP Pavilion G6 - LZ652 EA ABU: new created profile when an old man became corrupt, now unable to connect to wifi

Hi, this weekend I'll be staying at my parents and have been asked to assist with the laptop of my father.  It of a HP Pavilion G6 and had damaged the user profile. We have successfully created a new user profile for him so that it can log on to the laptop again, but now it does not connect to the internet via wifi.  If press us F12 the way of the light is blue, I think it works.  Device Manager indicates that the wireless adapter is working properly, HP Connection Manager says wireless is disabled by the mobility Center, but the center of mobility is not any icon for the wifi settings.

Can anyone offer any suggestions?

How does a "change the Protocol from the router to WPA Wireless?  That sounds like it would be worth trying...

    HA

There are many different routers wireless worldwide, each using different menus and methods to change the encryption.  You must search for the 'Wireless' setting in the router, can find the control area "encryption".  This is where you choose WEP/WPA/WPA2 and the different "flavors" of each.

Given that the TX is a device only / b, you must be sure that your router is configured to be retro-compatible speeds/b.  If nec ' / g-only ' or ' / g and/n ' it will not communicate to the TX.

I'll send a link to the ESU you via the private Message system that we have here on the Forum.  It's a shame that HP didn't post the return to download file...

  • HP Pavilion Touchsmart 11 ED09AU - unable to connect to wifi

Hello! I had problems with this laptop. I bought last month. After using it for a week, I noticed that it is not automatically connect to wifi, and sometimes it takes a little longer (probably an hour) so that it connects successfully to a wifi. And if ever he should be connected, internet access said "limited." I brought to a service center, they changed the wifi card, and then I guess that after using it for more than a week, the same problem occurred. This is a big drawback for me I hope that someone can help me, and I just want to know if anyone had experienced the same problem. Thank you very much!

    Hello Jabb050914,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you are having problems with wireless connectivity. Can you please tell me the name of your new wireless card? You should be able to find this in the device under network adapters Manager. Also, can you me if other devices are wireless, or if this PC works with a wired connection to the router or modem?

Here are a few things to try in waiting for your response:

    Powercycle the network:
    1. turn off your laptop.
    2. unplug the power to your router.
    3. disconnect the power to your modem.
    4. wait at least 45 seconds.
5 reconnect the modem and wait for it to come back online.
6 plug in the router and wait for it to come back online.
    7. turn on your laptop and test your connection.

Reset the TCP/IP settings on your PC:
    1. go to your start screen and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator at the bottom of your screen.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt" without the quotes and press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

It can also help to reset the winsock catalog:
    1. go to your start screen and type CMD.
    2. right-click on the command prompt icon and select run as administrator at the bottom of your screen.
    3. in the window that opens type "netsh winsock reset" without the quotes, and then press ENTER.
4 restart your PC and test.

If these steps do not resolve the problem, try this document published by Microsoft for network management issues: wired and wireless network problem.

    Hope this helps!

  • Unable to connect to Wifi after new Hard Drive installation

Hello, I really need help. I have searched this forum days, reinstalled my drivers in the correct order, but I'm still not able to connect to Wifi.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 and I recently installed a new hard drive. Everything works fine EXCEPT the WIFI. In the network controller device manager has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark inside. I tried to search to find the driver but it says that it is impossible to locate. When I download the Intel driver on the Dell site, it downloads but nothing never opens. I'm at a lost and I just need help. All the answers or pointing in the right direction if this has already been resolved would be greatly appreciated.

  • Unable to connect to wifi and cannot adjust the brightness in hp pavilion 1322tx g6

Hello guys. I can't connect to wifi after that I installed win 7 64 bit on my hp pavilion 1322tx g6. Wireless light stays red. He is not white. and I can't adjust the brightness too. the same operating system works very well on my desktop. in the Ethernet controller network controller driver manager and other things are missing. Win 8 64-bit work very well on this laptop. Please someone help me...

Operating system Windows 7 does not have drivers for the hardware of this unit. your office may be a little older had so drivers win7 disc itself. also windows 8 has most of the current hardware drivers, it works well too.

for win7 64-bit, you must download all the drivers from hp.com and install on your laptop.

    Here's the direct link...

    http://h20000.www2.HP.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareIndex.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodNameId=5227785&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=5186808&swLang=13&TaskID=135&swEnvOID=4063

Incase you have trouble in direct link, here are the steps to download drivers for your PC.

    Hello

Please visit www.hp.com/in and click on support & drivers > drivers & software > type the full model of your PC as the 6100 dv6 dv6-3100 etc... Select your computer model (if the list), or model CTO (for example, dv6-6100 CTO) (who works for the series) now select the operating system you are running. you have the list of drivers for your PC.

I hope this can help, good luck!

  • Why should I create a new user profile when you remove a damaged user account?

I have a corrupted user account and was referred to the following link http://windows.microsoft.com/en-CA/windows-vista/Fix-a-corrupted-user-profile

However, I don't understand why we're required to go through this complicated process when we go to Control Panel - user accounts and family safety-user accounts - add and remove accounts delete user accounts until you can actually remove an account asks you if you want to keep the files of this account.  It is said that it can automatically save the contents of this user account office and favorite Documents, music, photos and videos in a new folder on the desktop.  I realize, this does not include e-mail messages, but I thought I could export those to a memory stick and then import them into my new user account.  It all seems a much simpler process than to create a new profile.  Why Microsoft suggests must create a new profile?

    Hello Kodika

Thanks for the return of the response.  I guess that it was just a typo, but it's OK.  Please let us know if you have any other questions or you are experiencing other problems.

    Thanks again!

After that has been done and restarted FF another window opens saying that a very important (urgent) update is nesscary, when I click on the button NEXT, a progress bar appears and says the connection to the server, but NEVER seems to connect, and no matter how long I leave it does NOT connect. It just sits there trying to connect while I use FF.

    Do a clean install (re)-:

    • Uninstall your current version of Firefox and remove the Firefox program folder before installing this copy of the Firefox installer.
    • Do not remove the data of a personal nature if you uninstall the current version.
    • It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.

Your bookmarks and other profile data is stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a relocation, but make sure that you do not select delete data of a personal nature if you uninstall Firefox.

    1. Select all programs

    2 file HP

    3. go in the name of the printer

This resets the printer to the network.

  • Recently, I built a new computer and used my old hard drive. Now, I can't activate Windows XP via internet or telephone?

    Hello

I recently built a new computer with a new motherboard, processor and RAM.  The computer works well, but I can't go through the activation of Windows XP.  I tried connecting via internet, and he said that I didn't have a connection, which I know that I do because I can connect to the internet on my motherboard cloud browser.  I tried to call the number that was given, but the computer says that it is not a valid product.  I know that my copy of Windows XP is valid - in my old system, it worked fine.

Please help me to activate my version of Windows XP.

If the old version of Windows XP is installed on the computer when you bought it, you invalidated the license by moving the hard drive to a new system.  This license lives and dies on the parent computer/card origin.  If it was a copy of the (bought in a store) retail of Windows, I'd recommend replace because move one disk hard from one computer to the other, sometimes translated as difficult solve incompatibilities due to driver problems.

    From Dell.com

For the thumb drive copied, copied on the d: drive and down install. PC restarted, but still does not appear. Considered as PCMCIA card but Id prefer wifi

Was not really concerned the ability of the internet first because he is a dedicated workshop computer, but it would be nice to connect to the web for repair information and specifications without shuffling of fat through the House.

EDIT: I tried to download the complete set of form of the drivers from the Dell support page, but I need to download them on my current computer and transfer them via USB key. But the system detects continues to appear as if he wanted to detect the pc using im for download

It is useless to Dell system detects when you are not using the PC you want to download drivers for or when your PC cannot connect to the internet.

Should know that Windows XP is outdated and that it has reached the end of life. So you must be extremely careful connect an XP system on the internet. This hardware system is on the low side and the upgrade to Windows 7 32-bit is not worth the cost of the Windows license for this machine. 8.1 32-bit Windows and 10 32 bits are probably incompatible because of the video controller.

The first thing I recommend is running the WSUS Offline Update and patch your installation of Windows XP until April 2014:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/WSUS-offline-update/obtaining-the-latest-service-packsbuilds-of-Internet-Explorer/patching-Windows-XP-fully-using-the-WSUS-offline-update/

For drivers if you need more help provide ID equipment, so we can identify the variants in the network controllers and graphics cards. See here for more details, the video gives 8.1 Windows then Windows 7 and Windows XP as examples:

    http://dellwindowsreinstallationguide.com/downloading-drivers-checking-hardware-ids-and-downloading-and-installing-dell-system-drivers-in-the-correct-order/checking-hardware-ids-in-the-device-manager/

For the drivers I advise use of the FTP Dell site where the drivers are listed in the form of direct download links and there is no system forced to detect:

    http://downloads.Dell.com/published/pages/Latitude-D610.html

His critics you patch Windows Dell System Software, Chipset Intel first install (WSUS Offline Update). For this model on Windows XP Audio driver is loading properly, unless the modem is installed in front of him:

  • New router - now unable to connect to my trusty 7410

Windows 7 Pro 64 bit OS
Latest version of the HP software: AIO_CDB_FSW_Full_Win_WW_130_141.exe

Past a Netgear WGT624v2 under my router to a Netgear WNR3500v1.  All PCs on the home network are connected.  But my 7410 generally solid does not connect to the system.

Put in place the 7410 via the Panel work fine...router/SSID/WPA are all recognized by the printer... but... my PC can't find the printer? router using WPA - PSK [TKIP] + WPA2-PSK [AES] option)

I tried the Home Network Diagnostics tool... it finds the printer, but any attempt to connect fails:

    (1) to recover WPA/WEP key,

    (2) display the networks wireless detected

the two don't report NO networks detected?

Have uninstalled and reinstalled HP drivers today... but the system will / can not detect the 7410... Although the 7410 detect / connect to the network as shown in the network configuration screen 7410 and print?

What I'm doing wrong here?  Print the Network Configuration Page indicates that everything is in order... just NO connection of the PC?

Previous connection was also through the old WGT624 wireless?

Thanks for any ideas on this issue and what's bugging my 7410?

    TR

Well well... it started and running and think it's a problem of HP and not my new WNR3500...

Remember 4 years ago I had a lot of questions/problems with my old Netgear and this configuration of printers.

Ended up having to uninstall (including using a 'scrubber' HP to help clean up the registry) and reinstall on all PCs running this printer.

It was a different place but again... it was the solution... uninstall driver/apps package full of HP and then reinstall the same version of the four PC connected (without wire & cables) smooth as can be... any questions or problems.

All work fine and all functions are available in both directions between the 7410 HP and all PCs, including laptops.

    Thank you... TR

    Hello;

Let me welcome you on the HP forums!

I read your post on your disconnect WiFi the day after and wanted to help.

The most common cause is of power options.  Open Device Manager (in Control Panel), scroll to network adapters, right click on the WiFi adapter and select Properties. Go to the power management tab, and uncheck the option that says: "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power", click OK.

Restart the PC.  If that fix it, you're done.

If not, then read these additional troubleshooting tips WiFi: HP PC - wireless network and Internet troubleshooting

    Good luck
