HP Pavilion G7 1070us used to power up

HP Pavilion G7 1070us

Windows 7

Does not start

6 GB ram upgrade

I was using my G7 earlier in the day and it worked fine.  I turned it off and went to work.  When I get home later that night, I tried to turn on and nothing.  I plug the AC adapter in and load it incase the battery is dead.  When I come back about an hour or more later, I try again and still wont turn on.

My brother checked out and he too cannot know what's the problem with him.  He tried to remove the battery and check if it lights with just the ca... nothing.  He removed all attachments (HDD, ram etc) cleaned the vents (were already clean) and everything reinstalled... still nothing.

Someone knows what's wrong, or is it a sending in to fix the problem at this point?

Thanks in advance for any help

  • HP pavilion dv6-6198sp: using the right charger for hp dv6? 90 or 120 w? Which one? Help!

Hi guys, currently im using a charger for my hp dv6-6153sa, but I need to cut this short story, so you'll understand.

First, I changed the motherboard in this laptop, the motherboard is the HP pavilion dv6-6198sp however, the battery is a HP dv6-6b60sa.

    The charger I use is a HP dv6-6153sa, which is a 90w charger. 19V 4. 74A

So am I right in thinking I would be better off using a 120 Watt charger?

Any advice would be much appreciated! Thank you

The specifications I've seen shows that a 120 Watt power adapter is required for both. So yes, you must use a power adapter 120 Watt.

By default, you can not in Firefox.

But you can use an add-on like FoxyProxy Standard, I think he understands the functionality you need.

  • I have adapters and a power converter, but has been told by someone who travels internationally that the block performs the conversion of power for me.  I want to assure that I do not blow on my phone.  Use the power converter to charge my iphone and appl

I have adapters and converter of power for international travel.  I was told by someone who often visits that the converter is not necessary for apple products.  I don't want to ruin my phone or watch - can I use my power converter?

If you use the Apple adapter supplied, you will simply need an adapter to use in other countries. The adapter can be used with voltages between 100-240 v AC 50-60 Hz

  • Can satellite T130 - I use Kensington power?

The model Kensington 33197 (very useful for travel because it is lightweight and flat and can power/charging multiple devices at the same time) has two power tips Toshiba, including the N3 outputs (depending on the technical support of Kensington) 19V, 6a and 114W.

Outputs of the PSU Toshiba 19V 3. 42A (so 65W).

Tip N3 is safe to use, or will it FRY my T130?

    Hey Buddy,

You can use another power supply if it has the same (19V) voltage and intensity or higher (3. 42A or later).

So, it seems that the Kensington diet should work properly! :)

Satellite A85-s107 white screen at startup by using the power of the battery

After that if I connect it to AC power and switch deactivation/activation of the laptop power button, the screen comes back to life.

There is no problem when I start upward when it is connected to an electrical outlet.
Battery is fully charged and computer will work off the battery voltage if I remove AC after boootup

    Any suggestions?

    PS:

also note that when I remove AC and then reconnect I start the computer on two occasions that it does not start the 1st time?

Don t need to recharge the battery if the AC adapter is plugged ;)
Try the tips posted by Alex otherwise it of a hardware problem, in my view, there seems to be something wrong with the motherboard...
In this case, only the replacement could help and it could be a costly affair

  • 3 peripheral USB connected to the Macbook 4.1 computer tells me to restart using the power button / stop?

I went to record a live concert, and I need to use a single interface to record the members of the group with microphones near directly to a computer and another interface running for my model of Macbook 4.1 end of 2007, to get signals from the map of the House.

When I plug my converter USB 3.0 AD / DA in my Macbook 4,1 - the computer sends immediately a window indicating to me to "reboot" the computer using the power button / stop. Ideas or comments about why this happens?

I read on this forum that USB ports should work with retroactive effect, or accept USB 3.0 devices, but just use a speed 2.0?

    Thank you.

It could be that it is a requirement of your converter AD / DA she needs to be present at a properly accessible to the OS X when startup sequence it is plugged into a USB2 port.

Its also interesting to note that, well that peripheral USB3 can be plugged into the USB2 ports... it could be that your device may not work properly unless it is used with a port USB3... for reasons of bandwidth or even certain types of power supply.

    But to be sure...

Which converter AD / DA are you using?

  • Pavilion g7 1070US: installation of new SSD

I'm helping a friend with a HP Pavilion g7 1070US laptop. His original hard drive crashed and we bought a PNY 960 GB SSD drive to replace its old WD 500 GB. We were able to restore his old Win 7 because while trying to create a USB startup device the MS site says our OEM license. So we bought a new Win 10 license with a USB and when you try to start the message; "Core security check failed" appears, and the computer restarts then cycling in the same message. I tried to boot from another key USB and DVD ROM created by MS media creator but the same warning message appearing.

Later we have formatted the drive outside the laptop with a SATA adapter.  Reset us the BIOS by default. The drive is recognized by the internal BIOS diagnostic and test memory was also executed.  Both pass.  However, whenever a start is attempted the system responds with a BSOD and the message; "The verification of the security kernel failure".  All the world is facing a situation difficult always. I even bought an old copy of Win 7 Home edition and the installation CD has the same problem.

    Any suggestions...

  • G7 1070US: upgrade my HP Pavilion g7-1070us to usb 3.0

A Pavillion g7 1070US usb ports can be upgraded to 3.0?

    Hello @rlsutherland,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I read your message and understand that you want to upgrade the USB ports on your HP Pavilion g7-1070us 3.0. I've studied the issue. Unfortunately, the USB ports on this laptop cannot be upgraded to 3.0; they are part of the motherboard. For more information, you can consult the maintenance and service guide.

Thanks, I look forward to your response with the result.

  • Can I use a power supply from 14 to 15 volts DC with my computer

so I bought a p2-1013 desktop computer it has an apxd1-dm, the card mother itx micro with a continuous supply, integrated on the map.

in the description it says it needs a 19 v dc power, but I think that the jury needs 12v and 5v to operate so the provision would naturally be able to offer both voltages to 14-15 volts.

    my questions are so

    1. the Council use something higher to 12v or need something more?

    2. is the continuous converter designed to not be able to correct the fluctuations of tension? (PWM with no correcton feedback)

    3. does anyone think this will work?

probably a rather strange question, its for a school project.

any help would be greatly appreciated

    Thank you

    1. the Council use something higher to 12v or need something more?

No, the Council should not should eat something higher to 12volts. Common computer voltages are 12v, 5v, 3.3V and lower for the processor and the memory.

    2. is the continuous converter designed to not be able to correct the fluctuations of tension? (PWM with no correcton feedback)

The computer is basically a laptop computer in a matter of funds. Any laptop I've owned uses a power supply AC/DC with an output of 18.5 to 19 volts DC @ about 3.5 amps.  This configuration is tested... it is known to work. The section of DC-DC on board probably includes dividers voltage and voltage regulators for most of the functions with PWM for the CPU and memory circuits.

    3. does anyone think this will work?

Honestly, I don't think you'll have a bit of luck you try to run the computer on 14-15 volts DC.

  • Can you have SMU 1062 q turn on without using the power button

I use a q SMU-1062 for a test project that will take place inside a protective case.  The power button on the chassis will be covered by a plate on the protective case that make it boring and difficult to switch on using the power button on the chassis.  The chassis will be plugged into a power strip of travel - lite which is mounted in the case.  Is it possible that I can have the power to frame on when I turn on the power strip?

I found another route.  In the controller BIOS, I changed the parameters of loss of AC power to TURN on after that AC is returned.  This allows me to use the power strip in my configuration to control the electric network distributed to the controller.  The following steps will describe how I got this.

    1. Power of the SMU-8115 controller.

    2. A message will appear on your screen, press to enter SETUP

    3. Select 'Remove' (quickly, because you don't have a lot of time before the window disappears and the controller continues to load normally.)

    4. This will open the main Menu of the BIOS

    5. Select the Advanced tab (use the arrow keys to highlight the selections and the different tabs, select a setting change with 'enter'

    6. Select > Configuration power and rest

    7. Change the configuration to power on when power is restored.

The controller can be normally close by using the start menu, and "shut down".

Start button / stop of the chassis is still capable of turning the power on to the controller, but now when I shut off the AC power strip and then return power, get the controller chassis.
