I'm a little curious as to why you want to upgrade to a BluRay burner.

You can watch movies online without additional expenditure on this issue.

Here is a link to the guide for maintenance and Service of your laptop. He has illustrated parts list that gives the part numbers of the units that will fit your laptop.

You can upgrade to an SSD. It provides incredibly fast access times that make it a true performance upgrade. Consider buying an SSD in migrat kit which includes a usb cable to sata and cloning software. I highly recommend the Samsung and SSD Crucial players.

  • HP Pavilion 15-p263nl: 2nd HARD drive cart, replace the optical drive for HP Pavilion p263nl 15 Notebook PC & Windows 10

    Hi all!

I intend to add an SSD for my HP Pavilion p263nl-15 Notebook PC. I found some sites that I can remove the optical drive and put a second drive using a caddy adapter in the optical drive Bay. I found that some people on the forum did it successfully, but nothing on my PC model. I want to know if he could work with my product.

In other words, there is my plan:

1 remove the real disk HDD hard bay and replace it with the new SSD.

    2. remove the optical drive and replace it with the adapter caddy containing my old HDD.

    3. do a clean install of Windows 10 on the SSD using a USB key recovery made with my real Windows 10 system (which has been updated from Windows 8.1 July 2016).

I already have a 120 GB OCZ SSD (OCZ Vertex 3).

I have a few questions before buying the adapter:

1 - the two drives (my old HDD and the new SSD) are recognized by the motherboard / BIOS and the operating system (Windows, 10)? Is there a limit to a unique HARD/SSD disk drive on the computer?

2 should. What size the card be? I found offers for 9.5 mm and 12.7 mm that are supposed to be suitable for HP Pavilion in general

3 - these parts work together and with my computer (size, compatibility)? You can expect any problems with this upgrade?

4 - clean install Windows 10 quote, because I intend to install it on a different drive than the one I used to create the key USB recovery flash? I have never done a clean install of Windows before.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

    Alessandro

p.s. in this section of the forum (where I took most of the post), the solution worked almost perfectly, but it's a different product of the Pavilion 15 ^^

    Hello

    1. Yes,

    2. your machines use 9.5 mm SATA Tray,

3 problem? I can't answer this question because who knows nothing until the track.

    4. I don't know how you create USB recovery but a good new installation should work.

    Kind regards.

  • G4-11125dx: USB Driver issues HP Pavilion g4-1125dx Notebook PC model #: LW342UA

    Hello.  I have a:

    HP Pavilion g4-1125dx Notebook PC

    Model #: LW342UA

When it has been upgraded to windows 10 I lost all USB functionality.  The Device Manager uses a driver, but it does not work properly.  "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host Controller" and "Standard OpenHCD USB Host Controller" have the yellow exclaimation points with the USB symbol next to them.  Under properties, it reads:

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

    {Unable to load device driver}
HS device driver could not be loaded.
    Error status is 0 x %x

When I try to roll back the driver nothing is available.  When I try to update, it says I already have the best driver.  I tried the windows update and Easy Driver software but no luck there.

I confirmed that I do infact has power to make ports (USB fan :/) so I don't think that it is a hardware problem, especially since it worked before upgrade.)

I know that its a laptop older, but I upgraded the CPU to a quad core Phenom II N970 and this 'thing' is running if good, I do not give up on it.  Ethernet and wireless are working properly and there is no other troubled hardware issue.

    Thanks in advance,

    Cory

I tried to go back to windows 7, but I've been spending the period from 30.  The laptop is not the recovery disks, or a partition to do.  For the heck of it I advanced and reinstalled windows 10.  Now the USB ports work correctly so I guess it was something that happened during the initial upgrade?  Anyway thanks for your help!

I tried to update my graphic drivers (Intel HD Graphics 4000, dated 26/09/2012), both with automatic programs like the Intel update manual mode of Intel and HP (although HP doesn't seem to have something more recent than I have). Hello

Intel 6230 is listed as compatible, but the part number belongs to an Intel Centrino 1030. I would try the 6230 as the laptop is a Sandy Bridge one. 6235 Intel works on laptops series Dv6 from Ivy Bridge.

  • HP Pavilion G7-2341dx: issue of diagnostic Pavilion G7-2341dx code

OK, I have a Pavilion G7-2341dx laptop. I had a problem with the USB ports for ever and nothing I tried worked and I did all that on the net to attempt a solution without success. I did all the registry stuff, consumption patterns, selective suspend, restore system, system update, restore factory settings, it is a renovated therefore no guarantee then I changed the usb 2.0 with a new group.

In any case, I want just an easy answer if someone could please. I ran the diagnostic UEFI BIOS on usb 2.0 port (the one I replaced and the last port that worked and he gave me an error code (shown below).) There was also a digital alpha 6 code numbers before the letters if you need them as well. What it means? It seems that HP has a kind of blackout of google on these error codes, but at this point, I can't afford a new computer, I can't crack the code, and it looks like crap to throw a computer works fine (except for the USB ports) but my only option is to get a bluetooth mouse If it will work, because I fortunately cloud storage when it comes to files. So, I just want to know what means the code, if it can be fixed or not (or if even useful for fixing).

    Thank you.

"the usb 2.0 port (that I replaced).

To how physically replace the port?

When fail usb ports, it is usually due to traces on the failure of the motherboard or physical damage inadvertently in the ports.

If you replaced a port damaged on a laptop which had damaged the traces on the motherboard, the new port still not work.  Replacing the motherboard, it's what will solve the problem of this kind, but that comes with a lot of problems for a partner not HP which has no access to the exclusive public services for the BIOS.

  • HP Pavilion g6-1313sh Notebook: dual Radeon graphics card - cannot enter bios mode fixed

    Hello!

I recently bought this laptop apart from my friend and is struggling with this for a few weeks now.

I was on the forum every day for a few hours without result.

so, my laptop is HP Pavilion 1313sh g6 with Win7. I have the latest version of the bios, so I could put my gpu bios mode set instead of dynamic.

Here's the problem... When my setting was dynamic, I got the "switchable graphics" option and I could put the preset by application. as many people pointed out, it really does not work, so I went back to fix.

This option is now missing. so I tried in CCC, following this: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c03048374 in the fixed bit.

It is, I have no change option... I only get the graphics card AMD Radeon Dual 'activate' or disable... but not the button to switch permanently to the highest performance card... checked in CCC, it recognize my 2 cards under hardware (1st HD6520G 2nd is Hd7400M).

I start to tear up the rest of my hair. Please can someone tell me what I miss? as said, the most recent drivers from the site is all settled.

    Thank you!

    Hi @SmokeyJohnny ,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion g6-1313sh Notebook and issues with graphics switchable. You can do a System Restore. System Restore will help if something is automatically updated and wasn't on the laptop.

When running a system restore note remove all USB devices. Disconnect all non-essential devices because they can cause problems.

If this does not resolve the problem would be to uninstall the graphics drivers listed in your device manager. Reboot the laptop and it must be reinstalled the proper drivers. Yours is the AMD Radeon HD 6520 + 7450 Mr. here are your drivers if you need.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion g6-2240ea Notebook: plugged in, not charging to help!

    Hello!

I bought my HP Pavilion 2240ea g5 in April 2013. Everything worked smoothly, until I started noticing, he had stopped charging. It works very well with the adapter plugged in, but it will not load. Initially, he read (95% charged, plugged in, does not support), but now it has 0% fee and does not charge. I ran several diagnostics on HP Support Assistant, who said that my battery is fine and is in need of calibration. When testing of charger of HP running, it shows that my charger is charging once more, only for it to end a minute later. I also tried to uninstall the battery software Microsoft in the section battery Device Manager/Programs, but it does not work. I also tried the method of closure, withdrawal of adapter, press and hold the power button / stop, turn on again with the battery, turn on with just battery etc. But it does not work.

He has not charged for about a year now, so even if my battery is almost his second year, he stopped the charge after only one year. I thought must be replaced, but the HP support assistant help desk suggests my battery is very well and is seems not fresh, but only when the diagnostic runs.

I would be grateful for a little of help and advice on if I should just buy a new battery.

    Thank you

    Hi @MegantheRose,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I looked in your question about your HP Pavilion g6-2240ea Notebook and questions with the load. Here is a link to test and calibrate the battery. Here is a link to test the ac adapter.

I recommend to restore the default BIOS settings. You can restore the BIOS with this document by selecting the reload of the default settings of the BIOS that could help and only updates that go through the HP Support Assistant.

Note Remove all USB devices. Disconnect all devices of non-essential, as these can cause some troubleshooting problems.

Plug the power supply directly to a wall outlet works. Do not connect it a power strip, surge arrester, or secondary power source as this could cause and issue.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you.

  • HP Pavilion g7-2224nr Notebook: trying to Win Win 7 8, now need to return back

Sorry if this has been raised many times before. I looked around, but couldn't find something that helped.

Stupidly, I installed Win 7 on top of win 8. Everything works, except some drivers not settled. I've been looking around for Win 7 drivers, but only sites I've found look scammy to me, and they seem to everyone wanting money and data personal.

I don't know what the best course of action is here. Should I keep trying to find drivers for Win 7, or should I give up and reinstall Win 8? I do not have the OEM drive, so I don't know even how to do this.

Pride, pride, arrogance. It became me that HP does not have such a dirty trick. Looks like they are trying to force the consumer to switch to Windows 8, which is something I never had the intention to do so. But then I never had intention to switch to Windows 95, Windows XP (I liked, as it happened) or Windows 7 (with which I can now live).

Could someone help me please get out of this mess?

    Any help gratefully received. TIA.

Graphics cards cannot be updated simply.

You will need to replace the motherboard with another which would have better graphics (if available for your model).

This would cost as much buying a new laptop, so it is probably not a good idea to undertake such a venture.
