HP Pavilion HDX 9050 EL - upgrade windows 7

Hello

I finally decided to upgrade the installation of windows 7 Professional s.o.. I was able to update the drivers for all devices. The only problems concern the use of the Media Center remote control and fast touch buttons. For remote control, I think that the problem is related to the infrared port driver. For the buttons, I feel that win7 does not support them. Please, I ask if someone has solved somehow, or is it possible to know where I could find the drivers for the above devices.
Thank you very much.

It seems that your computer meets the minimum requirement for the installation of Windows 7. Please download and run the Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor to confirm this before installing Windows 7.

Here is the HP Pavilion HDX9050EL PC drivers page for your computer. HP has provided only the Windows Vista drivers for your computer.

If you have not already done so, please create your personal set of HP recovery disks before installing Windows 7.

You should use HP Notebook System BIOS update version F.41 (Intel processors) before the upgrade to Windows 7.

For concrete measures to be taken when you install Windows 7 on your computer, see the Windows 7 Upgrade Guide for HP laptops by CherylG . This guide will also refer you to the drivers for your computer to run completely under Windows 7. Please see "Part 2 - models level 2" or "Part 3 - level 3 models" for information that can help solve your problems.

Please message the Windows Device Manager (text only) "Hardware ID" of all remaining missing or unknown devices, as shown in the example below.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

  • Pavilion p029tx: Question about upgrading Windows 10

May I know when the update of Windows 10 for my Pavilion p029tx PC laptop will be available.

You can check if your PC is compatible by opening 10 Windows Update app sitting in your taskbar, then click the three lines or the options button in the upper left corner and select check my pc. If it says that your PC is compatible then you are ready to go and you can update using the tool of creation of media.

But before you upgrade make sure you are the PC is updated according to the update of windows and HP Support ASsistant. And after the upgrade, you must check the updates via windows update or hp support assistant again to download the updated drivers supporting windows 10.

  • Pavilion p7 - 1446 s: upgrading Windows 10 blew Beats audio driver

I tried to find a solution to this problem and for about a year.  Control Panel Audio Beats disappeared when I upgraded from Windows 8.1 for Windows 10.  It wasn't a big problem in time, because I could control the volume using the sliders in various applications.  In the last days, the volume began to decline, even when I turned it to 100% in WIndows Media Player, Youtube, or any other external application.  I guess something has hit the main volume and I can't go to that right now.

When I try to run the control panel Audio Beats, I get a dialog box that indicates that Windows is unable to find IDTNC64.cpl.  I find the file in c:\swsetup\sp64473\src\wdm\ on my computer and even he copied my c:\windows\system32 folder, but it does not solve the problem.

Unless someone has a better idea, I think that my best option is to reinstall the driver Audio Beats.  Unfortunately, this brings me to the box start: no matter what I enter in this site customer support page, do not me to a page where I can download driver Audio Beats.  I din't mind to research on an external site such as cnet, if necessary, but I am concerned about safety and I still do not know what file to download.

All solutions are appreciated, but please don't tell me you just go to the HP customer assistance page.

    You are the very welcome.

I tried seriously to all solutions possible and still nothing.  Not only the solution that has been proposed to this topic on the forum like many others in other Web sites, as in the windows and mediatek/ralink and same forum forum on youtube and still nothing, I can't really solve this problem and I'm trying to ruin out of range of patience...

I'll probably go back to 8.1 Windows because all solutions have failed...

If someone knows a solution diferent/news please reply!

My PC is a HP Pavilion G6

My Wi - Fi adapter is a Ralink RT3290 802, and pilots are already updated.

    Kind regards.

    Hello:

Since I know not what you have tried, or one of the hundreds of books of g6 model you have (if they extend over several years), the only suggestion I can offer would be to try the W10 Ralink WLAN driver.

    OPERATING SYSTEM (S):
    Microsoft Windows 10 32
    Microsoft Windows 10 64

    LANGUAGE (S): Global

    SUPPORTED DEVICES:

    MediaTek MT7630E 802.11bgn Wi - Fi adapter
    RALink RT3090 WiFi 802.11b/g/n adapt
    Wi - Fi 802.11b/g/n Ralink RT3290 adapter
    WiFi 802.11a/b/g/n Ralink RT3592 adapter
    RALink WiFi 802.11b/g/n RT5390 adapt
    RALink WiFi 802.11b/g/n RT5390R adapt

    CORRECTIONS:
-Provides the initial version of Windows 10 support WHQL driver.

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp71501-72000/sp71571.exe

If the driver above does not work, the most likely problem is the hardware revision RT3090 of the card you have is probably too old to run W10.

Only the last model rt3090 made in the last two years will take place W10.

  • Pavilion 6650z: upgrade Windows 10

I was wondering if an upgrade to Windows 7 SP 1 Windows 10 could prove useful. My desktop computer Pavilion meets all the hardware requirements to run Win 10. It's a CTO in January 2011.

I've already tried an update to Win 10 on-site the weekend of the new year, earlier this year. While the update process, the indexing for my Corel Photo Paint Shop Pro X 3 process lasted several hours with no end in sight. It is at this time that I decided to go back to Windows 7. Could not find the link "back to the previous Windows" in the Windows 10 settings, I used my system recovery disks to reinstall factory on my Pavilion.

Before considering a new attempt to upgrade Windows 10, I would like to know if it's worth my time and effort to install Win 10. Also, I would like to know which is better: an upgrade in place against the clean install.

I read Windows 7 machines that met in the hardware configuration required to win 10 has failed as well in the upgrade process, that the results are mixed at best.

    Thanks for your help.

    Westin doc

    Doc-Westin

You are right to be cautious about making the upgrade of Win10 on a Win7 PC.

I did it on several\ PC Win7 and it completely trashed both of them - where they were to be restored to factory settings to restore operation.

I wrote the following to inform people about the measures to be taken during the upgrade PC Win7 to Win10...

Desktop computers older Win7 tend to fare badly when upgraded to Win10 - mainly due to lack of HP Win10 drivers for older hardware.

If you are determined to upgrade to Win10, you must be willing to do four things:
    (1) do a full image backup of disk external drive or USB stick, capacity
    (2) changes to the reserved system partitioning hard disk recommandΘes mΘthodes,
    (3) use a different approach and maybe more than one, as Windows Update to do the upgrade,
    (4) prepare for a clean install.

    ---------------------------------
    1: backup of images:
This is VITAL, because the machine is doomed to failure of the upgrade, and when that happens, you will learn that GoBack to Win10 function is NOT reliable, and that can leave you with a corrupt machine that will require the factory reset and lose all that on it, to get it working again.

You can avoid this by making an image backup to an external hard drive or a USB drive using Macrium reflect (MR), which provides a FREE version that can be used to image and restore partitions or drives together.

What I recommend is the following:
    (1) download and install Macrium reflect (MR)
    (2) run M. and choose the option: "Create an image of the partition (s) required to backup and restore Windows" to write a full backup to an external drive or USB key
    (3) use the option to create a CD or a USB startup key

NOW, you have the means to restore a full system that works for the external hard drive or USB key in a few minutes.
    ---------------------------------
    2: System reserved for resizing:
There is a small partition on the HDD with Win7 preinstalled machines known as system reserved.  It is something known as the boot loader code.  There is 100 MB format: all that is necessary for Win7.  But Win10 needs 350 MB and, in some cases, is NOT able to resize it on its own.  IF this happens, you must manually use a partitioning tool to resize it yourself.
    ---------------------------------
3: use a different approach to upgrade:
Windows Update is the simpler, but less reliable, way to do the upgrade from Win10.  A much better and more reliable way is to use Microsoft Media creation tool: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/media-creation-tool-install?ocid=ms_wol_win10 choose the upgrade this option now PC.

After all this, you know that MS install drivers with only the most basic features.  Given that HP does not have drivers for your PC Win10, this limited functionality is the best you're going to get.  HP does not actively write new drivers from Win10 for the old PC Win7.  To keep all the features of your PC, your best shot is NOT to upgrade to Win10.
    ---------------------------------
    4: be prepared to clean-install:
If you do all this, and after the upgrade, your PC works partially, this means that the upgrade is not well and stuff is still there the previous OS corrupt the functionality of Win10.

You MIGHT be able to solve the problem in fact a clean install of Win10. Problem is that, often, a clean-install does not recognize prior activation, even if it should. So, before doing the upgrade, follow these instructions on the community forums Win10 on creating a genuineticket.xml file: http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/23354-clean-install-windows-10-directly-without-having-upgrade-first.html

You need more later to activate your pc Win10 after the installation of clean.

    -----------------------------------------------

    Good luck

Two days ago, I bought a HP Pavilion x 2 (red sunset) 10-n011nl and immediately I started upgrading Windows 10. This medication is ok (no error message), but the first new starting system, the machine is in a loop! Only a black screen with white logo of HP and animation circular points. It is impossible to stop this, none CTRL-ALT-DEL or other. I have to wait for low battery condition (more then 6 hours!).

And even once, he repeats the loop.

    What can I do?

    Thanks in advance

Because it is new, maybe start to type Esc as soon as you press the button start.  That should bring up a menu before starts the boot process.  In this menu, click F11 to run the recovery.  Who will restore the PC to 'new factory' and retry the upgrade of Windows 10.  You might want to try the media creation tool page, if it fails again.
