• HP pavilion a1710n power supply needs replacement.

  I have an old HP Pavilion a1710n desktop power supply crashed and burned and needs to be replaced.  I've never been on a power supply on this computer before I upgraded memory and dial-up fans in the past.

  I already ran through the list control to full power on this site to confirm that it is food that is broken and needs replacement and no cord or anything else.

  I also confirmed what power to order part.  At this point, I just need to see a video of step by step on how to replace the power supply inside the computer tower or read the good strong guidelines for how to do it.

  It doesn't seem to be a video on the site of HP but it is an easy process.

  (1) turn off your computer and disconnect the power supply. Remove the power cord from the power outlet.

  (2) open the casing and place the computer on its side (open side upward).

  (3) take pictures where going to each power cable.

  (4) disconnect all power connections.

  (5) remove the four screws on the back of the housing supply by keeping in place.

  (6) turn the power off (can be a "locking tab" now in place.

  (7) reverse the steps to install your new power supply.

  Refer to photos for the location of the place where to reconnect the power cables.

  I have an old hp Pavilion tower which has a motherboard BioStar inside.

  The other night, I was doing something when the screen went black and the light on the power switch will Flash yellow.

  Run fans, that the monitor only stop blinking when connected to the video card. the fan on the card, so I guess that the card is good. As an additional check to ensure that the card is good; My son-in-law has hung the tower with its monitor, using its video card, still nothing.

  Take off the lid of the Tower, I noticed that there were only connectors on the power pins on the front panel to the motherboard.

  My thoughts on this is the person who has replaced the motherboard did not connect the pw switch correctly and when for some reason, the Commission went into hibernation, and given that nothing is connected the PIN; the motherboard will not be from hibernation.

  My question is very simple, I'm on the right track; and if I am how I connect the original power switch to pro

  empty power switch and reset.

  (1) is the scenerio of what's not correct? NOT without doubt, as the reset button is rarely used and does not have the computer on low power such as the standby or hibernation States.

  (2) if so, how do I wire the original switch for the reset on the map or what type of switch would I need to do the reset works? Again, it is probably not the case and your problem is probably caused by something else. Please provide details about your problem... What happens when you hold the button in 10 seconds? The computer turns off? What happens if you briefly press the power button? What operating system is installed on the computer? What is plant HP or your technician installed? Etc.

  I have an a computer laptop 15-n270ea of Pavilion and I need a power cord replacement as the accountant that he lost, I've been back to PC World and they have no idea what this driver is or where I can get a replacement, they've said we had several people with this problem.

  I talked with the help online and then purchased the smart AC adapter 65 I was recommended (product no ED494ET) but this does not fit.

  In fact, this driver is the typical HP adapter and I seem to have roughly the same outside diameter socket but with a spindle Center round slightly larger.

  I want to replace and resolder just the plug of metal and plastic that goes into the computer. If they are not sold only, 2nd choice is the card attached to a cord with wires at the end.   Hello!  I need to replace the power supply of my Pavilion p6110y PC.  It has a 20 motherboard connector pins and the power supplies I saw on Amazon use now 24 pins for the motherboard connectors.  When I tried to see if I could use a connector 24 pin 20 pins, the instructions I found on a motherboard said that they could not be used with HP because it had different sons.  So, I need to find a diet that I can use.  Any help you can give will be greatly appreciated.

• Pavilion dv6: power problem

  I am using hp pavilion dv6-7135nr. Need a power supply problem, when I run the hp battery test it shows ok status but when I plug the power, he died. battery is not at all, but now it shows 80% at first but after more then 10 days, it's 50%, I observed a problem with my mechine befor this load problem he suddenlt remove power from the battery when it cut down to 25%. and even I put its low power alerts but is suddenly off my mechine.   Problem solved, it was a battery issue, I just replaced battery and it works fine. infect the Hp need to improve he essement battery hp software.

• Pavilion G6: Power on password

  My G6 Pavilion asks a power on password on startup. I do not recall the definition of a password and get the 'following system disabled' message and the error code following 97813127 after three attempts.
