HP pavilion a1710n power supply needs replacement.

I have an old HP Pavilion a1710n desktop power supply crashed and burned and needs to be replaced.  I've never been on a power supply on this computer before I upgraded memory and dial-up fans in the past.

I already ran through the list control to full power on this site to confirm that it is food that is broken and needs replacement and no cord or anything else.

I also confirmed what power to order part.  At this point, I just need to see a video of step by step on how to replace the power supply inside the computer tower or read the good strong guidelines for how to do it.

Some advice there?

Thank you

It doesn't seem to be a video on the site of HP but it is an easy process.

(1) turn off your computer and disconnect the power supply. Remove the power cord from the power outlet.

(2) open the casing and place the computer on its side (open side upward).

(3) take pictures where going to each power cable.

(4) disconnect all power connections.

(5) remove the four screws on the back of the housing supply by keeping in place.

(6) turn the power off (can be a "locking tab" now in place.

(7) reverse the steps to install your new power supply.

Refer to photos for the location of the place where to reconnect the power cables.

  • Pavilion p6130y power supply upgrade

Remember to upgrade the power on desktop p6130y Pavilion 300W at best it can support but couldn't find the answer.  Could someone tell me the stronger power supply that will support this device?  Thank you.

Theoretically, there is no limit to what you could install. Reported desktop HP consumer does not not with supplies valued at more than 650 watts. There is absolutely no reason to replace your power supply unless you were planning on installing a graphics card high power or a large number of readers and accessories. Please consider the Corsair CX500, CX600, CX500M, CX600M. These power supplies are known to adapt to most HP consumer desktop computers and equip all but the most extreme updates.

  • Pavilion 17F061us: power supply problems

Yesterday I noticed that my laptop is running on battery power, even if we connected it with the adapter/power cord. If we unplug the power cord from the battery is exhausted and visualizes time on battery.  While we have plugged into the wall it still shows on the battery, but it does not destroy.  She remains stable at the current level of battery power (ex: all day yesterday, it was plugged in and showed the other 70%.)  To do this, not fees, but also not to lose more power.  When I unplugged the power cord battery power starts flowing as expected.  The box on the adapter cord feels slightly warm, will be especially warm before this current problem.  Taking wiggles but only slightly and waved to does not affect the power somehow.  I shutdown, removed the battery and tried restarted with the power supply cord is plugged in, it does not start.  I am currently planning to order a new power cord/adapter charger but not sure that this is the problem.  Is anyway to know if it's decision and not the wrong other than exclude with a new shot cord cord?   Also, is there anything else I may be missing it could be?

    Hi there @Aeg50,

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome! It is an excellent site to find answers and ask questions. I read your post on the Forums of HP Support. I understand that your HP Pavilion 17 - f061us Notebook PC is running on battery power and maintain a charge while the AC adapter is connected, but when you connected the AC adapter without the battery attached to the laptop would not turn.

I did some research and found some documents for you based on a problem that you had described.

Please follow these troubleshooting steps, re-post and let me know the results.

    Thank you!

    Have a great day!

  • Pavilion a1540n Power Supply Upgrade

I'm looking to upgrade my power supply (400w or greater) so that I can put in a new video card.  Known there for a replacement PS sources?  How easy is it TSE replace one of them?

It's easy... Here is an article from HP technical support on a case that is very similar to yours:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01358091

    Basically,.

Turn off the power and remove the side panel.

Follow the wires of the power supply where they connect and lable them so that you know where they go - draw an image on paper to help remember you.

Unplug the power inside the PC cables.

Unscrew the 4 screws at the rear that hold the power supply to the case.

Replace with a good ATX power supply. I would put in a power supply rated at 50 Watts higher than the required mark for the fancy video card you're shoving in you can even take the old power supply with you (if you buy in a store of the local computer). This way you can make sure all connectors that have used match and you will have enough connectors to all of your components.

Insert the PSU and screw it with the 4 screws.

Connect the cables, replace the side panel you and plug the power supply cord.

    Enjoy.

  • HP Pavilion 6520f Power Supply Upgrade

I was wondering if this diet will work in the small Tower without any compatibility or the space problems. Thanks in advance.

    http://www.Newegg.com/product/product.aspx?item=N82E16817139004

Good choice for a power supply. Your PC should take a standard ATX PSU without problem except perhaps a fit tight.

The VX series have extra-long cables in order to find a space to go the extra length could be a problem.  I prefer the modular design with standard length cables to avoid wiring issues in smaller mini tours of HP.

  • Pavilion M9340F: Power supply question

Based on the specs of your PC (here), all power 350W that will fit in your ATX mid case will be just fine.

I'll order a new motherboard, but was wondering if anyone had advice to put right, first of all, I'm not shy to weld some more if its going to get bined could risk destroy first maybe I could piggy back the juice across the Board?

Any ideas would be As soon

    Beany.

    Hello

The replacement of the motherboard is a very delicate procedure.
I don t recommend this without any help from a technician for laptop.
During the computer laptop procedure disassembly of other parts could break or could be too bad so it s really risky for me cela

In addition, you may not use any motherboard. You must use the law and compatible with a card mother and other parts can be ordered from the ASP in your country, but I have to say that a motherboard is one of the expensive parts for laptop and it costs a small fortune

In any case, I think that you should get in touch with your ASP local and should seek clarification, maybe it s not a motherboard problem...

  • HP Pavilion dv6 power supply problem

I have a Pavilion dv6 for the past three years; It worked perfectly until recently.

Two months ago he began to take more time for the prosecution, but he continued to work

fine. The battery always charge at a slower pace, but now there's another more

    serious problem.

If the battery status says he has some fees (even up to 98%), but as soon as

I pull the plug on, the computer dies immediately. It does not even

turn on if I do not connect the charger. If I turn on the computer with charger

connected, the battery status is always the same. If I leave the computer for a couple

days without connected charger, the battery loses some (but not charging

too); This means that the battery itself is not really in a very bad state.

I suspect some hardware glitch! What could be the problem; y at - it an idea?

  • Pavilion g6 - 2240sa fan needs replaced or it will be cheaper to replace the laptop?

My HP Pavilion g6 - computer fan portable 2240sa just stopped working? No warning strggeling or noise? He just stopped. You can buy a new one for a tenner, but to fix it myself that I had to disassemble the mobile complete to access (not sure about the tent) but the only place where ever I can find to be considered for repair is PC World (probably safe to give to a child) and his £50 to tell me what I know While they charge to send him off, then reload on the sides for a part and put it in.

It is worth when it may be overheating of CPU and ram also damage?

When I pick up a new laptop for £450?

I think it's probably that the printing if you do it yourself.

    Here is the Manual:

    Repair manuals

As you noted here is the part for a little more than a tenner:

If you invest 11 books and one or two hours. It is very unlikely, there's no additional damage and a new fan should put right.

  • Pavilion p7-1010: Corsair 500W power supply

I have a p7-1010, providing greater power needs because of a new graphics card, and I'll probably go with a Corsair 500W, based on several recommendations on this site.

The power supply being replaced is a REV Bestec ATX-250-12Z. D7R, which measures 140mm depth x Width 150 mm x 86.4 mm high.

Power supply Corsair CX500 is exactly the same measures, however, the direction of the fan is not the same.  The Bestec fan is on the back and blows air from the inside to the back.  The Corsair fan is represented at the top or at the bottom?

The Corsair CX500M is represented on Newegg.com as a measure of depth 150mm x 160 mm wide x 86.4 mm high.

I have two questions: 1) isn't that important on the fan?

    (2) or Corsair fit, even if the modular model is more than 10 mm wide?

    Thank you

    Hello

Corsair power supplies I know all blow them air at the back.  Evacuation of hot air inside the PC help with cooling.

The different dimensions will result in less space between the power supply and the optical drive.  The cables will be very tight, but if you have an empty additional optical Bay then you can stuff the extra lengths in the empty Bay.

  • Replacement of power supply, model HP Desktop A6200N

The power supply on my model HP Desktop A6200N died. The power supply provided with the computer is a model electric Delta DPS-250QB-4 A, 250 W output. My question is this, I have another power supply made by HIPRO HP-D3057F3R model with a maximum capacity of 300 W, I can use this HIPRO power supply to replace my old power supply Delta without any complications? Any info would be appreciated, thanks.

HiPro HP-D3057F3R seems to be a power supply HP OEM and should work correctly your desktop HP Pavilion a6200n. Before installing the HiPro in the computer, check the HiPro offers the same connections as the Delta. If necessary to take pictures where all the connectors go you come out of the Delta, so you don't miss any when you reconnect the HiPro.
