  HP Support Assistant recently had me download a new driver for the card wireless Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN on my HP dv7-4080us laptop. After the update, the card wireless could not be detected, so I shut down the computer and turned on again. During the boot process, a check of the hard drive was made, and hundreds of messages about corrupt files displayed. I do not know the extent of the corruption, and my wireless card cannot always be detected. I can't use a previous system restore point, because somehow the hard drive space allocated for restore points has been set at 0%. Any suggestions on the best way to go about fixing this?

  Update:

  I was previously impossible to restore to the previous driver, these options are dimmed in the Device Manager. After another reboot, they worked, and I restored the WiFi capabilities. However, my anti-virus software is unable to locate its base of virus, probably due to corrupt files. I reinstall the software now. I don't know what other problems caused file corruption. I am hoping that a new installation of the operating system is not necessary.

  I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 3520 (service code: ) that came with Ubuntu.

  Although I had to install windows 7 32 bit and I am facing a problem with wireless adapter driver.

  When I try to connect to the preferred network I get "unidentified - No. Interntet network access.

  I know it's a driver issue because it works fine on Ubuntu.

  So that the original configuration of Dell site lists:

  "WIRELESS: DELL WIRELESS CARD 1703.

  Discovered that the solution was Device Manager-> ECS-Dell Wireless 1703 b/g/n-> properties >-> Advanced-> 802 .11n changed bandwidth of 20 MHz / 40 MHz automatic.

  I have a Pavailion dm1z, which uses the Ralink RT5390 wireless card. I have a router dual band with WiFi networks on 2.4 GHZ and 5 GHz. The dm1z is unable to pick up the SSID in the 5 GHz range, it can for the 2.4 GHz band. Is the Ralink RT5390 card dual wireless broadband? Can it captures my 5 GHz wireless network? If this isn't the case, allow new drivers for it? Or the dm1z can be updated to capture the WiFi in the 5 GHz range? What other options I have to do the 5 GHz WiFi?

  (5 or 2.4 GHz) USB adapter should work well on the laptop.

  I have a bad wireless card and bought a new one using the HP number #392591-001. It is said it is expected to work in my computer, but I install and said material is not configured right and is not working.

  Here can someone help me find a driver that works or I'm SOL on that. I looked everywhere I know how to find a driver and on the HP website, there is no driver for it.

  OH and my computer will start but will not just set up the wireless card. I think the driver for it is missing. I install the original map and it shows in my devices list just inoperable. I can connect via the Ethernet that no prob and my bluetooth work ok.

  OK, so here's the deal. I finally got a response from the boys that I bought and it's the pilot, they sent me. It may just be the same thing on you sent me that I don't know.

  What I did then was to use the manual config when hardware Setup detects new hardware, I pointed directly in the driver instead of searching for him and low and here is it started working. Yay for that.

  I have honestly no idea of what happened, but worked so I guess it's good for me. Thanks a lot for your help and I don't know the driver you sent me would have worked if I'd done it before. I really appreciate the help very much. I also don't know why it didn't find the driver from the start since is is a replacement of hp.

• W540 wireless card problem

  Hello guys,.

  My wireless adapter seems to be very little reliable these days here (perhaps months).

  Several times a day, I keep losing the connection to my home wireless network (wireless of my T420s on the same wireless network, but it is seamless to work for days). This kind of interruption happens when I take this W540 to my work, but I always thought that the wireless network at bad summer, not my W540... but I realized that the problem was my laptop after all...

  Too many times I see, when I fly over my taskbar, my mouse pointer goes circling and the Start button woudn't work, while I think that the network adapter tries to connect to the wifi. As soon as I shut off the current to the card, the laptop becomes normal, according to my observation so far.

  And tonight, finally I got a blue screen (BAD_POOL_CALLER was the big letter on the blue screen). Right now, I think to make a factory recovery disc and reinstall everything...

  But before I pull the plug, I thought I should ask around: what should I do to solve this problem before the last resort or warrty (always good) process.

  Of course, I've updated all the things Windows and also tried to upgrade the drivers through ThinkVantage tools... I've not won after finding that it did not help.

  I have a Pavilion dv6449us which Broadcom wireless adapter is not recognized. I replaced it with another, and it is still not recognized. The light on the switch that allows me to turn off the wireless service is orange. There is orange if I turn it on or off.

  I am running Vista 32-bit SP2.

  Should I assume it's a hardware problem on the motherboard? Any suggestions will be appreciated.

  I didn't know you were already inside the laptop. Are you sure that you have reconnected the antennas?

  Here is a link to a long thread seriously on the problem with the dv6000 series laptops wireless.  When they are under warranty, HP replaced the modules wireless with a newer version.

  NSB the card mother Eton specifications see the maximum memory is 4 GB. If you have already installed it is maxxed out.

  I would not sink money into an old PC of four year in terms of reusable components no. You would have done better to have a high-end USB wireless adapter. That way you have something usable on the next generation desktop or a laptop.

  For the office, I'm typing this, I use an ASUS USB-AC56 and am very happy with the flow on this subject.

  I understand that you bought your laptop some time ago, but have experienced difficulties with your wireless network you believe is related to the card and consider replacing the wireless card. I noticed you responded to a similar request in @ShoutH2O and that they will try the Intel 2 x 2 AC 7265, which is recommended to replace.   I don't think that any card WiFi dual band (5 GHz) will work. The best option for you is Intel 1030. It's the same chip as the 1000 but combo with bluetooth. Reference number: 631956-001. This part number is indicated in the manual as Intel 6230.
