HP dv7-4080us wireless card problem

HP Support Assistant recently had me download a new driver for the card wireless Intel Wifi Link 1000 BGN on my HP dv7-4080us laptop. After the update, the card wireless could not be detected, so I shut down the computer and turned on again. During the boot process, a check of the hard drive was made, and hundreds of messages about corrupt files displayed. I do not know the extent of the corruption, and my wireless card cannot always be detected. I can't use a previous system restore point, because somehow the hard drive space allocated for restore points has been set at 0%. Any suggestions on the best way to go about fixing this?

Update:

I was previously impossible to restore to the previous driver, these options are dimmed in the Device Manager. After another reboot, they worked, and I restored the WiFi capabilities. However, my anti-virus software is unable to locate its base of virus, probably due to corrupt files. I reinstall the software now. I don't know what other problems caused file corruption. I am hoping that a new installation of the operating system is not necessary.

    Hi all

I just bought a new Dell Inspiron 3520 (service code: ) that came with Ubuntu.

Although I had to install windows 7 32 bit and I am facing a problem with wireless adapter driver.

When I try to connect to the preferred network I get "unidentified - No. Interntet network access.

I know it's a driver issue because it works fine on Ubuntu.

So that the original configuration of Dell site lists:

    "WIRELESS: DELL WIRELESS CARD 1703.

so I downloaded this driver: http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails/Product/inspiron-15-3520?driverId=K21VK&osCode=W732&fileId=3126779147

  • W540 wireless card problem

    Hello guys,.

My wireless adapter seems to be very little reliable these days here (perhaps months).

Several times a day, I keep losing the connection to my home wireless network (wireless of my T420s on the same wireless network, but it is seamless to work for days). This kind of interruption happens when I take this W540 to my work, but I always thought that the wireless network at bad summer, not my W540... but I realized that the problem was my laptop after all...

Too many times I see, when I fly over my taskbar, my mouse pointer goes circling and the Start button woudn't work, while I think that the network adapter tries to connect to the wifi. As soon as I shut off the current to the card, the laptop becomes normal, according to my observation so far.

And tonight, finally I got a blue screen (BAD_POOL_CALLER was the big letter on the blue screen). Right now, I think to make a factory recovery disc and reinstall everything...

But before I pull the plug, I thought I should ask around: what should I do to solve this problem before the last resort or warrty (always good) process.

Of course, I've updated all the things Windows and also tried to upgrade the drivers through ThinkVantage tools... I've not won after finding that it did not help.

    Thank you

I would change my wireless Intel Centrino 2230 card because it doesn't work well with Linux. I've seen wi - fi cards, listed in the manual. None of them seem to be easily available in my situation. These cards will fit?

  • dv7-7238nr wireless card replacement

I would like to replace the card wireless in my dv7 7238nr...

I want to upgrade to 802.11ac but and difficult to discern where I could find said replacement.

So, my questions are: 1) is a simple replacement PCIe; (2) where can I buy one (3) in my machine the location map (also struggling to find any sort of comprehensive covering the dv7).

    TIA;

I agree with your assessment... I tried to find a 802.11ac card with chips not Intel that would be "accepted" by the BIOS.

However, the manual of the product for the 7238nr lists only b/g/n card (Realink, Qualcomm, etc..)

So I guess I'll be become familiar with HP support phone tree until they inform me (inevitably) that what I want can be done with an internal replacement card. And I thought using a USB adapter instead?

Ugly solution, but I'll do it if I have to.

I think that the usb adapter will also be the best option.

  • HP Pavilion p6710f wireless card problem.

I just bought a p6710f last night and have for the most part running, he has problems with the card integrated wireless. It recognizes my network and it will stay connected for about 30 seconds before abandoning the connection.

Whenever I run the option of "Troubleshooting" in Network Center and sharing, it is said that it resets the adapter, and that seems to fix the problem... for another 30 seconds, when it disconnects again. • Wireless card problems

The card Ralink wireless on my mother's computer does not work correctly. P6744y model of PC.

The card is a mini of the half-length pci - e card (wn 6602 HR-h1-1A). Bought a USB wireless adapter for a difficult time, but I would like to get a replacement card.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Also I was wondering if the memory is expandable on this particular pc model?

NSB the card mother Eton specifications see the maximum memory is 4 GB. If you have already installed it is maxxed out.

I would not sink money into an old PC of four year in terms of reusable components no. You would have done better to have a high-end USB wireless adapter. That way you have something usable on the next generation desktop or a laptop.

For the office, I'm typing this, I use an ASUS USB-AC56 and am very happy with the flow on this subject.

    Hello

All compatible (with part numbers) cards start from page 24 of the manual even. I suggest using the Atheros AR9280 or Broadcom 4322. This is the wifi chip only, no combos with bluetooth but connectivity bluetooth can be added by a usb adapters. There are many of them on ebay.

    AR9280: 580101-002

    Broadcom 4322:582564 - 001

These two circuits are for the U.S., etc...

Edit: all three chips should work on your laptop, but these are only tokens of 1 x 1 single band and will not support the 5 GHz network. 600370 001 is a combo of Broadcom (4313) with bluetooth and the other is the same Broadcom (4313) but the only wifi chip.

  • Satellite A500-1GL - card wireless adapter problem

    Hi all

I had a problem with the card wireless on my laptop for months and have no idea how solve more.

Basically, the wireless card seems to go through phases does not turn on. One day I can boot up my laptop and it works fine, then the next day it won't work. The wireless button on the front of the laptop is turned on but don't turn on the red light.

In the past, I've managed to get over this by several reboots the laptop (until he decides to work) or reinstall flash, wireless etc. drivers card drivers. However, none of these things today seem to be making a difference.

The worst, it's that there is no continuity with when it does not work and how it is fixed (sometimes reboot once fixes it, other times reinstall drivers fix it and so on).

For this reason, I assumed that this may mean that there is some sort of hardware failure? But if I run the laptop in safe mode, the wireless still works without any problem.

Someone has an idea what is happening?

    Any help would be appreciated,

    Liam

    Hello

First of all I would like to know what system you are using and if you have tried to recover the laptop to factory settings in the past.

The point is that these issues are mostly related software and could be solved by resetting the system.

However, I think you know that the wireless network card can be turned on and off using the FN + F8 key combination.
Have you tried this combination in the past?

Second, you must check the WLan card status in Device Manager.
The point is that problems of card driver WLan, Wlan card doesn't would be not listed correctly in Device Manager. So this should be the next step.

Where the Wlan card is listed correctly, I assume that the driver is installed and working properly.
