HP. Pavilion p7-1154

Hello, I discovered while adjusting to the top of my newcomputers that it is only dvi - d and my monitor is VGA.  What are my choices?  A new monitor or adapters?  Thank you!

You are the very welcome.

Not in a 20 ".

I have this 22 "one and I like it a lot.  Of course, I love the quality of the screen, but I also like that you can adjust the height and tilt as well.

With multiple monitors, you can not adjust the height, if it is important for you, as it is for me.

  • HP Pavilion p7-1154 does support Dual AMD graphics card?

I have a Pavilion p7-1154 - serial number {removed privacy} - the motherboard is an AAHD3-HB (stock MB) made by Pegatron. I updated the stock 16 GB of Corsair vengeance 1600 6 GB 1333 RAM and upgraded the processor an AMD A6 3600 to an AMD A8-3850, all according to the guide of HP upgrade for this machine. I've also updated the PSU of 300w for a 500w 80Plus Bronze certified PSU Corsair stock.

Now that's what I'done this day - what I want to know is the MB (AAHD3-HB) does support Dual AMD graphics card, using the proposed graphics cards, I would use a Radeon 6670 GPU.

Mike, after consultation with the other members, I think that double graphis is unavailable because it is not indicated in the specifications.

However, here is a Youtube video on the CPU.  If you do not find that you were able to use it by a change in the BIOS, please share this information with the forum.  Thank you!

I updated the BIOS to the Version: 7.16 Rev, the controller USB Version: 1.0.0.72 Rev's and drivers wireless Version: 3.2.14.0 Rev a.

All were downloaded from the HP Web site under downloads for my model. I'm running Windows 7 64.

Even after the updates listed here, it has not changed.

Have you tried to reinstall the chipset drivers?

  • Pavilion p7-1154: upgrading the graphics card

    Hello

I want to buy the graphics card NVIDIA 9800GT for graphic design. But before I buy it I would like to know it it is possible to be used on the PC console.

I guess I have to upgrade the power supply and maybe the motherboard also.

Please let me know in what concerns the 9800GT what PS and motherboard that I should purchase, if any, that would be adapted to the console. I have Pavilion p7-1154.

    Thank you and best regards

Illustrator has requirements listed here.   The card mother's only Legacy BIOS, so I would stay with WIN 7, get an EVGA GTX 660 or 670.  It was the last of the EVGA legacy known cards.  The GTX 670 will draw 170W, then I would say once again a Corsair CX600. IT has perfect fit and is better than the recommended 500W unit inactive.

    Hello

Your configuration above doesn't seem to be HP "stock".

The answer to your question is Yes.  You can redirect "MY" folders type for a second hard drive with your own special storage folders. This post is a typical example of how to move 'MY' Windows folder.  That's how I separate "MY" folders of data storage (my videos, my music, my documents, my pictures, my downloads).  I also put the Contacts folder and Favorites on the data reader.

Currently, my system seems to have followed the problems while displaying games with medium graphic settings. I would also like to record gameplay here and there, so it's probably important to mention.

I'm looking to upgrade the processor maximum allowed on the upgrade worksheet, but I am worried about the PSU. I know that the sheet indicates that the motherboard supports the processor, but will I need to replace my power as well? Are there other aspects that I should take into account? If so, could you give me some recommendations of specific system upgrade? Thanks in advance!

I edited the answer to update the card that I bought it. Same Radeon HD 6750, but I had pulled the full card with GDDR5 and other name, and the actual card that I had was DDR3. This change was not made during the 3 days.

  • Pavilion p7-1154: is N360_BACKUP my D drive folder backup?

Hi, my hard drive is very complete and I found a huge file called N360_BACKUP but I don't yet use Norton products, nor have I any Norton software.  Is this something I need to keep? Should she do with the D drive backup?  I want to delete but not sure this is wise.

    Thank you

    Kimberly

N360_Backup belongs to the Norton 360 (backup device) product. If you have not all installed Norton products or not using it, you can delete the file safely. If you can't delete the folder in normal mode, you can try to delete the file in Mode safe. Let me know if you need additional help with this.

  • Upgrade GPU for HP P-7 1154

Hi, sorry if this has been previously answered could not find anything on the forums, but I'm currently buy parts for the computer I bought this summer which is a HP p-7 1154. I was wondering if there is a maximum length regarding the cards, you can use on this system? I'm more so worried whether or not the cards that I'm currently looking will fall on the RAM slots or not.

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion p7-1154. According to specifications, your computer has a slot PCIe x 16 graphics v2.x and a 300 Watt power supply. In a little less than 8 inches long, all these cards should fit into your system without problem. They won't fall on the memory locations, but you may need to remove the map to add new DIMM modules. You will also need the slot PCIe x 1 next to the graphics slot empty.

However, to power these new cards, you will need improved supply. It seems that the cards you want to recommend a 500 watt power supply system. I would recommend Corsair CX500, or CX600, as both of these power units are consistantly recommended and known to fit most HP consumer.

  • The disk activity light Board is necessary for my laptop to function?

Hey, so while dissassembling my HP Pavilion G6 1154, I accidentally, through my own clumsiness, managed to break the cable connecting the light activity (640215-001) Board to the motherboard. I would just buy a replacement, but they are expensive and local, or at low cost and far enough. So my question is my laptop can work without it? is it really necessary?

Not all laptops have same them so not essential but I would really like to see at a quick glance if the hard drive is connected.

  • DVI/VGA

I just bought a HP Pavilion p7-1154 desktop PC. After getting it home, I discovered that I could not connect my vga monitors. What type of card should I get?

    Rob,

Look at theDVIport on your video card or the video port of the motherboard of the e/s of the back if you use integrated video.  DVI DVI - D ports that are?  If Yes, then what are digital-only ports and VGA is analog.

If have no your monitors DVI or HDMI, so you have a few options:

    1. Buy a DVI to VGA Converter - not recommended
    2. Buy a discrete video card that takes care of two VGA connections - hard to find
    3. Buy two digital monitors - recommended
    4. Buy a graphics card with a display port (DP) and a VGA adapter and also use a display to the VGA dongle port.  I have never tried this configuration.
