Note the number of the download folder (there are more than one variety of graphics drivers).

Then go to Device Manager. Click to expand the display of the maps section. Click on standard vga card, click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select her browse my computer for driver software method and find the folder of the driver that was created when you ran the graphics driver.

  • WD external HARD drive no longer works with Win7 since the upgrade to Win10

My laptop has Windows 7 installed and my external worked fine. My new laptop had win 8.1 pre-installed so I have connected my drive and worked fine but when I plugged in my Win 7 machine he was working more.

I upgraded my new machine to win 10 to see if that would solve the problem, the drive connected but then I could not remove so I stopped the machine and deleted but I can't always connect to a Win 7 machine.  Everyone knows this?

    Hey there Leeaf72,

I'm sorry to hear about the issue. What is the model and the capacity of the drive? Have you tried the drive on other systems or possibly with other USB cables?
I would check if the drive is recognized in the BIOS, Device Manager or disk management. Here's how for the last two:
    Device Manager: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=cXczh0
    Disk management: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=xFP3QI

I would also see if you have all the latest OS and driver updates. Try to reinstall the USB drivers. You can also try out them completely and let the update tool to install.

If the drive is recognized I download and run WD Data Lifeguard Diagnostic and see if the car passes the quick and extensive tests. Here's a link: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=a6nz3g

  • With the system monitor position load raised by deferred procedure calls (DPC)

After starting my E540 Thinkpad with an external monitor connected, a core is busy with (DPC) 50% deferred procedure calls and it works continuously to the clock speed of 100% (2.2 GHz). See the image below.
After disconnect / reconnect the cable HDMI system load down close to 0% and the clock at about 40%, as it should.

It looks like a driver problem.

    How to reproduce it:
    (1) the monitor is connected via HDMI, then turn on the Thinkpad opening shortly the Thinkpad.
    (2) after identifying, Manager tasks shows the 50% load to the base, the resource monitor shows that any load is consumed by deferred procedure calls and that the clock is always at 100%.
    (3) open the Thinkpad and unplug the HDMI cable. The load goes down to almost zero and the clock less than 50%, as it should.
    (4) plug the HDMI cable and the load remains at near zero.

    A few details:
    ThinkPad E540, i7-4702MQ, 8 GB, screen resolution 1920 x 1080
    Monitor HP LP2275w, resolution 1680 x 1050

The intel IGP is active (not Geforce 740 M).
He dealt friezer if except the external screen is activated or the internal and externale are developed or duplicate in the Windows display settings.

Someone else has the same problem?

  • Connection problem with the second monitor, macbook pro 2014, OSX El Capitan

There are a few threads describing problems with two monitors, but I have not found a match.

I like for the operating system ask login password once the lid is closed, no matter how much time has passed (even for a moment). Also, I work with a dual monitor. However, when my macbook is plugged into the monitor and I close the lid, the macbook don't disconnect but spends just primary monitors. Understand that this could be a feature and not a bug, I tried to unplug the monitor before closing the lid. But the OS seems not to realize that the monitor has been disconnected, and when I close the lid he didn't ask me for my password once that I reopen it. Does it also if I wait a bit (i.e. one minute) after disconnecting the monitor, but not if I wait a while (or 15 minutes), well that I've not enough highlighted how long is necessary so that it starts locking on my closing the lid. He does it with different monitors, so I doubt that it depends on the particular monitor. In both cases, I used the HDMI port.

This is quite annoying, because I need to be able to disconnect safely in a short period of time, and I was not able to find a workaround on mine. Everyone knows this? Thank you for any help or advice.

  • 24 b017c: 24 - b017c dual boot with Win7 possible?

The b017c is capable of running WIN7 pro in anyway shape?

I really need to do a system dual boot with WIN7 If Yes.  WIN10 is not be nice to some specific software Attorney that I need to have to work for a client. Win7 is the latest OS, this software is compatible with before an upgrade of expensive software can't be compatible with Win8 or higher (we're talking $1000-2000 range).

I tried to install WIN7 on this computer after the partitioning of the disk space, and put out several settings in the bios (I had error btw), but WIN7 keeps hanging in the first screen after loading the drivers (language selection screen). Something happens where ports USB closing killing all connections to the mouse and keyboard. I have tried many changes in the bios settings and a retry of the WIN7 Installer (from an installation disc) but no dice.

Is there a certain combination of settings that must be disabled in the bios to get the win7 Installer right or I'm screwed?

    Thanks for any help

    What an adventure!

As you discovered, you must completely format the drive as one or the other (GPT or MBR).  You cannot format a GPT partition and the other in the MBR.

I wonder if you had back and disabled the legacy mode, if W7 would let you install on the GPT - or partition if the disabling legacy mode would also have permitted secure boot.

In any case, it's water under the bridge.

  • Audio drivers for reformatted HP Pavilion dv6700 with Windows 7 OS

It is my first time please post here, so be nice, people...

In any case, the problem started when I re-installed a Windows 7 operating system (32-bit, I think) on my HP Pavilion dv6700 with product number KN947UA #ABA on Monday. I could download all the usual stuff - Cleaner Windows, VLC Player, etc - but when it came to install a sound driver, the device will be not simply to accept the installation of the program, I downloaded.

I remember well, I have this problem when I started to install Windows 7 on my laptop; I was able to download and install a RealTek program - I didn't know what version it was, but he just ran without a hitch on the laptop.

I know I'm not the only one who has this problem here; Please believe me when I say that I already tried some two or three links here that are supposed to install the required audio driver for a Windows 7 compatible HP Pavilion dv6700, but, to my regret, no just programs will not be recognized by my camera. I do not foresee even write a post here, but it seemed to have no choice in the matter more - wrong I need help.

I would be very grateful for any suggestion, you guys can throw my way. Thank you!

OK... you're indeed a Realtek HD audio chip to your laptop.

Accept the agreement and download the first driver listed.

  • Mrs. mouse without function with Win7 / Wireless Manager 5

    Hey guys,.

_have the new 7_ Win, coming out in October / November. He got the uni on AA_ _MSDN program.

First of all, the _bluetooth stack_ does not work correctly. Means that my cell phone is visible and can be used as you want but BT 5000 MS mouse is not!

Second, the _Wireless Manager 5_ does not work because there is no button to turn on the sender. It starts off! I've tried different sim cards but the same problem occurs (they work fine under Win Vista).

Used the latest programs and drivers from the Toshiba homepage.

    Any idea?

These programs and drivers designed for Win7 or if you use Vista with Win7 stuff?
Sorry, but as far as I know, Toshiba didn't start Win7 support.

  • iMac 27 "with the second monitor boots black with cursor

I can't seem to find another discussion altogether as my problem starting special 'black screen ':

New iMac 27 "retina 5K (end of 2015) running OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 with second monitor Samsung connected by Mini DP - DVI.  When starting, the two screens are displayed in black, but the cursor is available and can be moved.

I have to make a hard stop and disconnect the second monitor to start at the login screen. Then I can reconnect the monitor and everything works.

    Any suggestions for a fix?

So, I spent some time with Apple customer support. Several of the standard troubleshooting for problems of mystery, they came to the conclusion that there was an incompatibility of driver with the Samsung monitor at startup which is mucking things up, and I just have to accept starting with the second disconnected monitor then plug it in again after a successful login.

Samsung does not write the monitor for Mac drivers (for some reason any), that's why the customer support figures that there is a hangup at startup. But why OS X recognize the monitor and run fine otherwise? Why only hang at boot time? And why my Mac Book Pro 2007 running the same version of El Capitan boot fine with the connected monitor? It has something to do with the Thunderbolt/mini-DP-to-DVI connection? I don't know, and I guess that Apple's Support is not either.

I fell on a hack, which is as follows:

    1. start with the second monitor connected

    2. in the "black screen with cursor" hold the power button quite long to put the computer to sleep

3 wake up the computer with the keyboard or trackpad or other

4 and now the login screen will appear.

    5 log in as usual.

    6.

I hope this helps someone. One day I'll get a more compatible monitor and it will not be a Samsung.

    They make nice dish, however.

  • not compatible with Win7 NVIDIA nTune.

I don't know where to post this so here goes. I have a NVIDIA GeForce 9700 M GTS and I downloaded the latest version of NVIDIA nTune. I have contected NVIDIA and they said some of its features are not compatible with Win7, they are only compatible with Vista and XP. I was hoping that Microsoft might relase in a future update compatibility updates to make it fully compatible because I need to be able to turn the internal fan to the card, which is disabled by default.

It is the responsibility of NVidia to release updates for their own hardware and software. I think that Microsoft allows only to distribute these updates through Windows Update. So until NVidia decided to make compatible, or until someone finds a work around, you have to wait to get it working properly.
