HP Photosmart 7520 network problems

I tried to install recently the photosmart 7520 on the network at my place of business. It seems to connect to the wireless network, however, only computers on the network share, who can see this printer are those who are connected to the network via an ethernet cable. If the computers are connected to the wireless network, they do not see the printer, nor can they ping the printer with an error of "destination: hostunreachable. Everyone knows this error? This is probably a router configuration, but do they know that we, or how to fix it?

Thank you

The problem you are experiencing is Ethernet and wireless. The printer will not be able to connect with BOTH at the same time. The printer and computer that you are trying to print from, must be on the SAME NETWORK. If you are connected to Ethernet, the other must be.

You can print wireless, USB, or Ethernet and USB. It will not be able to print wireless AND Ethernet.

  • Problem with not to print all pages in a document with a HP Photosmart 7520

I have a HP Photosmart 7520 networked printer.  If I try to print a document of medium to large sized (25 pages), it prints the first 20 without problem, but the remaining pages are incomprehensible and illegible. Initially, because it appeared that the problem was caused triny to print in the background with the closed document, so I tried to print the entire document with it open along the.  This no longer works.

Hello CRC8591, I hope you are well

I understand that you have a problem with printing a 25-page document that the last 5 pages are so do not print correctly and show to be unreadable. I want to help you with this question, the best that I can!

I have a few questions to familiarize yourself a little more with the question and I have also some suggestions to start with.

    1. what operating system do you use?

Operating system Windows am I running?
Mac OS X: how to find which Mac OS X Version is on my computer?

    2. try to print the document of several pages of another program. It prints successfully elsewhere?

    3. the same problem occurs when you copy or scan multipage documents?

    Try:

    1. reset of the printer and leave unplugged for at least a minute.

Plug the printer directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    2. check if the printer needs a firmware update: get the latest Firmware and updates

    Let me know the results!

    Have a great Tuesday

  • PhotoSmart 7520 - problems with the installation

The two two laptops running Windows 7

Wireless network with Technicolor gateway router

I just installed a new PhotoSmart 7520 and I have the following problems.

    1. I couldn't get the latest version of the software to download, so I initially installed two computers using the CD.  Both could initially print correctly to the printer, and I managed to do a test analysis and photo printing.  However on one machine I can not put the 7520 as my default printer, use the HP software or control of printers and Windows device (the latter gives an error ending in 709).  I have now managed to download the latest version of the software and installed it on this machine, but now, the PC do not print and cannot connect to the printer.  I also downloaded the HP Diagnostics and down them.  Fails to check the device driver.  I need advice on the next step, which I think will be (again) to uninstall and reinstall, but maybe someone could suggest which version of the software to use this time and any other measures to improve the result.

    2. the printer cannot download the update needed to enable Web services.  It starts downloading, gets a certain way, and then fails.  It is a constant problem in the last 18 hours.

    3. I would ideally static value the IP address of the printer, but I don't see any way to do this.  Please tell me how to get to this setting, as the supplied management software does not include an option for this.

4 when I got the PC to the printer, I got frequent notifications in the system tray of the sweep to the it Department, saying that it was not available.  You are not sure what are actual errors, but how do I make them disappear?

    Iain Mackay

    Hello

    1. uninstall the current driver completely. You can find instructions here. When you reinstall, I would use the latest driver from hp.com.

    2. try to download the latest update of the firmware on your pc and update of the printer from here. Installation instructions are here.

    3. to set the printer to a static ip address, enter the IP address of the printer in your browser. This should take you to the web server integrated printer, allowing you to set specific settings.

    4. this problem may not occur when the printer is correctly installed.

  • Photosmart 7520 error: there is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

I have a photosmart 7520 affected by the following issues.

Issue #1: randomly, all lights start flashing market and the screen reads the following:

Error. There is a problem with the printer. Turn the printer off, then on.

I can't find a move that throws this to happen.

#2 problem: When the printer is turned on and slowed down, also at RANDOM times, the printer will "Ding" followed by the flashing light wireless. So what sounds like the cartridges are cleaned, then a sound like the charger spinning or the printhead full running followed from one side to the other, then ending with a "Ding" and then back to normal.

When this happens, the wireless connection is disconnected and then reconnected. Also, this disables the "Scan to computer" function on all computers on the network and manually requires the reactivation of all.

From what I can tell the printer restarts itself.

It is plugged directly into the wall outlet, no surge protector.

Technical support has already go through the stages of the print head, me up to the top of the chain and eventually replaced the printer with a new brand.

THE NEW PRINTER STILL DOES THINGS AS PRECEDENT.

This printer is connected wireless to router Netgear N900. My all current computers running Windows 7, all are on the same network and workgroup and all are running Mcafee Total Protection.

If someone is or has experienced the same or similar problems, I could sure use help.

    Solved myself.

  • HP Photosmart 7520 unable to find the wireless network

    Printer: HP Photosmart 7520 e - ALL - IN - ONE SERIES

    Router: NETGEAR router WNDR4000

    Hi all

After receiving our new HP all in one printer, we have found our network wireless networks list wireless during the printer set up. We are able to receive the networks of our neighbors, but not our network.

    We tried:

    • Using the WPS function on the router and the printer
    • Establishment of an open on our router wireless network
    • Connect to our wireless router using the setting on our laptop when the option during the installation of a PC.

Any help on this subjest would be appreciated.

    Hello

I found the problem that was the printer not to see the SSID of the router.

The wireless channel was on channel 12 for the frequency of 2.4 GHz. While I was looking around I found this Support Page for Nintedo. Point 6 is a mention about these channels with respect to the same problems I was experiencing with the printer.

By changing our channel to channel number 3 number, we could see the wireless network.

It's a bit weird because I thought that the printer has a full specification b/g/n but apparently not?

In any case thank you for your support.

I started using my HP Photosmart 7520 a year with a laptop HP with Windows 8, and now I have problems to clear the documents in the print queue. • Cartridge Photosmart 7520 problem

    Hello.

I have problems to install the Photosmart 7520 spare cartridges.  I have put in, locked in place I should and get the error "one or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged.  They are HP cartridges, so this isn't the problem.  I have them out, cleaned the sensors as it says in my troubleshooting guide.  Sometimes when I close the door it will tell me that another cartridge is not working too.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Hello

After getting the error "one or more cartridges appear to be missing or damaged", I found that the opening of the cartridge access door and stirring slightly cartridge problem corrects this problem.  Close the cartridge door and see if you still receive the error.  Keep stirring the problem cartridge and this should solve the problem.  It seems to be very sensitive.

    Hope this helps,

  • Problems receiving faxes (HP Photosmart 7520)

I recently bought a HP Photosmart 7520 - eAll-in-one printer. I am able to send faxes but cannot receive them. When I receive a fax, this error message appears "unable to receive. I have connected the printer from the port "1 d" to my outlet for telephone service and have used a splitter to connect to my phone at home as well.

When you receive a fax, answering the call of the printer or the home phone?

What can I do to receive faxes properly?

    Hi nishalj,

If the fax arrives at your Fax before it fails, this reduces the possible causes.

Try this link.  Perform the steps 1 and 2 and then move to step 6.  The document is written for a former Photosmart model so the steps may be slightly different but you should be able to track the document.

Special attention to the length of the telephone line cord and dispatchers.

  • Photosmart 7520: News on the firmware updated

    Hello

I was talking to HP support problems with the latest firmware pushed for the 7520 breach ePrint and network services and they told me that there is an updated release due to be released for download via the software / support site, I was wondering when the new firmware is supposed to be available?

    Matt

    Hello

A new firmware to restore the ePrint feature are available on hp.com, however it is currently available for MS Windows :

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-Photosmart-7520-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5199461/model/5199462/swItemId/OJ-113641-5

I don't know if / when it wil become available for Mac OS, that's why I suggest you get a Windows PC and update of the printer, if you can have such an or can borrow a laptop to a member, family, etc.

If you need to use another PC, remember to install the printer drivers first prioor runs the update:

  • PhotoSmart 7520 does not connect to "Web Services"

My new PhotoSmart 7520 eAll-in-one printer will not connect to the "web services" today. Yesterday all top and work without any problem. Any app I try, it gives me the same error message.

I run Win XP, the computer is connected to a wireless router with LAN feature. My printer is connected through the LAN. It was working fine yesterday. I did no changes since last night my computer system.

I'm and turned on the printer and went to print simple Crusaders and received the message that it cannot connect to the 'Web Services '. Sever after tests, I check wireless settings and it shows that it works with an excellent signal strength. The Mac address shows as does the correct IP address for the printer.

I checked my router to see if she was talking to the printer and everything was correct and functional. He showed increased activity with the printer wireless and work, the IP and Mac addresses were both correct.

I followed several statements of SUPPORT from HP on the withdrawal and the reactivation of the Web abuse and got a print both times I tried it.

Just before I downloaded HP Print and Scan, a small icon doctor appeared in the system tray in the lower right by saying that the computer analysis was not available. I ran the program doctor and ran the fixes to scan and print. The small icon disappeared, but I don't know what has been corrected.

I turned the printer and on again at least twice. And I ran twice wireless configuration software.

I can always connect to web services. I didn't have this problem when I set up the new printer Saturday. It worked fine until this morning.

I'm not having any problem connecting to Internet with other software.

We will define a static IP address and (most importanly) an external DNS for the printer:

-Print a the front of the printer Network Setup Page. Note the IP address of the printer.
-Enter the IP address in a browser to reveal the internal settings of the printer.
-Choose the network tab, then wireless along the left side, then on the IPv4 tab.
-On this screen, you want to set a manual IP address. You must assign an IP address outside the range that the router sets automatically (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') 250
-Apply the subnet 255.255.255.0 (unless you know it's different, if so, use it)
-Enter the IP of your router (on the Page of the Network Config) for the gateway.
-Enter for the first DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 for second DNS. It's Google DNS. You can choose a different external DNS if you wish.
    -Click 'apply '.

Now, stop the router and printer, start the router, wait, and then start printing.

After that, you will have to redo 'Add printer' using the new IP address.

  • HP photosmart 7520: printer does not print when lite blue flashes

I just noticed recently that my printer does not print blue wifi lite flashes when the icon of the printer on my computer says printer not connected, but it's all about.  Ive tried unpluging the router, then the printer and restart the computer that gets everything back up and working, but after a while it goes back to blinking and does not print what is wrong.

    Hello

Asuming the printer is connected wireless, a flashing blue light indicates a lost wifi connection, the pritner is disconnected from your network at the time and so it will not be printed.

I suggest to place the printer near the router, but not less than 2 metres. too far can cause the connection to become less stable, but also too close distance due to dead radio signal problems.

Try putting 2-3 meters to test, make sure you there are no metal objects in the path between the pritner and router (which can affect the wireless radio).

Other that those try after the following steps to solve this kind of problem:
