HP Photosmart B110: OCR analysis so I can edit scanend documents in Word format

I can´t find the software I need to scan documents on my Phtosmart so that I can edit the text in Word format.  I can only scan the text as images.

I think I should use: R: I , but they want me to pay for the software.

I h ave wasted a lot of time trying to resolve this issue so far.

Hello

A lot of low end printers do not have this expensive software. If you use Word 2007 and above all, you can use the following free to scan to Word add-in:

https://support.Office.com/en-GB/article/scan-and-edit-a-document-7a07a4bd-aca5-4ec5-ba73-4589ac8b9eed

There are some free tools to the fottom from the following link:

Kind regards.

You should be able to use the options save as from the main menu to save the file as a Word document.

Use CH393A to HP Deskjet 3000 printer. I scanned a document and it automatically saved as JPEG. I need to change it to the Word document but cannot see how to do this.

    Hello pikxy

What I would say, it's using the Deskjet 3050 a printer to scan to PDF. There are several free online PDF to Word converters. You can also look around and search for yourself. Below is a list of many of them displayed in Google.

    www.pdftoword.com/

    www.pdfonlnie.com/PDF-to-Word-Convert/

    www.freepdfconvert.com/convert_pdf_to_source.asp

You can receive a superior word docs this way, rather than JPEG to word.

  • You can edit a document template in your library (pdf) and retrieve previous form fields, so you don't have to start from scratch?

I've just uploaded a pdf template in my library and spent a lot of time to fill the form fields. However, after completing the achievement, I made a misspelling on the original pdf model uplaoded. Is there a quick way to upload the document again and copy the older form of the document field so that I don't have to start from scratch?  If someone is able to inform you that would be much appreciated.

Only if you checked create layer for the form field option when you create the document in the library. (Available only in the accounts of end superiors so that you won't)

If you have Adobe Acrobat you can add fields from the agreement to the PDF outside eSign services.

Or if you are using word documents, it is possible to add fields of the agreement using text tags.

With those you can change regardless of the document and download the new copy and that the fields are already there, no need to copy or redo them.

  • Microsoft Word disappeard from desktop icon... The program is not listed under programs... I can open a document in Word, but where the 'program' gone? Where can I find?

I do not know what to try because I do not see even as Microsoft Word listed under programs. Other applications in Office are listed under programs, but I don't have them on my desktop.

Hi if it is Office 2007, then try this...

    Open the location of C:\Program files\Microsoft Office\Office12\

Find WORD.exe-> right click on it and choose "send to"-> "create a shortcut (desktop).

For the Word application, you will get a new shortcut on your desktop. Rename the shortcut and drag it on your Start menu...

or right click on Start menu and select Explorer... Open programs-> Microsoft Office, and then paste the shortcut. This will help you get the shortcut again.

  • Why can I no longer scan a document into word so it can be edited?

There are a few versions of microsoft, I was able to scan a document in word format.  Once scanned, it could be open in word and edited.  I can find is no longer a way to do this.  Is it still possible?

Yes, but you need an OCR [optical character recognition] application to do.

OCR takes a picture & transformed into characters - Word can handle only once this task is completed.

It wasn't a word that makes the task of scanning-OCR for you.

Many scanners come with a bundled OCR application.

  • How do I OCR only one part of a long document?

OCR with a pdf file is usually very simple.  Not here.  It is a legal document (PDF) with line numbers on the left and vertical lines on both sides of the text I want to OCR.  If the OCR includes line numbers, I'll have to spend hours to remove them. The left also include the name of a law firm and low a the title of the document, that I blacked out.  (Line numbering is quite common on legal stationery pre-printed within days to write, most courts have got beyond the way things have been done at the time, but it is obvious.  Obviously makes OCR a challenge!)  In earlier versions of Acrobat, I used a tool called simple gum with a (long since disappeared) British firm that carefully erased what from a pdf file, as all the stuff I want to get rid of here, before you run the OCR and save the document in Word format. This tool does not work with Acrobat 9 and the version that I am now using, Acrobat X.  Oh, and just retype the text is not an option for me.

There MUST be a way to do this!  Any suggestions?

    Sample page.jpg

Acrobat 8 by XI (at least the Pro versions) provide the redaction tool.

Used correctly this tool completely removes the selected PDF page content.

(so it's good to read the help for this application).

    Be well...

  • Can I pre-populate a Word or PDF document?

This request is for a home care agency. There is an elaborate form that must be completed periodically called a CMS - 485. There are tons of fields and a lot of formatting of the document. I currently have the document in Word format.

We keep the information for participants in a database. I would like to prepopulate SOME fields in the Word document with the information in my database. To know things like the name and address. Date of birth, SSN, etc. Basic demographic data that are available in my readilly database.

I can generate my site in any format form, really. PDF would be perfect. Word would be perfect. My goal is to go to the customer information screen in my application (already done), and then click a button to generate a CMS-485 vacuum that is prérenseigné with the inorimation population base.

I know that I can create an HTML element or report builder version of the report, but which would be absolutely formidable given the complexity of this form. Since it is already in Word format, I can use the work that has already been done and you easier on myself?

    BTW: CF 7.02

In fact, we do a lot of that kind of thing. If you treat only this 1 form and know that your form will not be changed anytime soon, we have found that the simplest solution is to do something like this:

    (1) save your form in PDF format
    (2) manually build the fields in your form using Adobe Acrobat
    3) there are a number of technologies that you can use to pre-fill the PDF form fields
    A. you can create a FDF (a little outdated at this point) PostScript file
    B. a coutesy of Ben Forta's much better solution: http://www.forta.com/blog/index.cfm/2006/7/27/cf_pdfform

Not sure to do the same thing in word. You could probably do something with java Jakarta POI package, but without doubt it would be rediculously complicated for what you're trying to do.

  • Mavericks of hp photosmart b110

I'm sure you can help. I try to get my Photosmart B110a connected wireless to my Macbook Pro in Mavericks 10.9.2

The printer is connected is the network that I can connect via my browser using IP inside address and I see everything about the printer and I have a choice of menu, it gives me the ink level, confirms the connection, Hello is allowed including host name, status appears as loan. This lead me to the conclusion that the computer is in talks with the printer, the Mavericks just doesn't seem to know that.

When I select system preferences, click the plus sign + nothing comes up under the default section.

If I use IP option and I get the IP address of the printer and I have to manually enter the IP address it comes back and tells me that it is HP Photosmart B110 series; Then when I click on Add it comes back and tells me "failed to verify the printer on your network. Unable to connect to? ??. ?. ? reason and error ".

If I add the printer it shows it is available but I can't print on it. Nevertheless, I can open the printer and I have not even enter the HP printer utilities, it gives me the correct device information, I CAAN print test page, check the levels all that makes the utility. I print quality diagnostic page as I type (and it seems good).

Then, when I try to print a document, nothing happens and I get the error unable to connect to the printer.

I am really at my wits end with this.

    Concerning

    Hello

Try to add the printer using its IP address, however, change the Type of HP Jetdirect and check if that might cause a difference and to allow the addition of the printer for printing.

In addition, don't forget to specify your router brand and model to better understand its Multicast capabilities, which can affect the performance of Hello.

  • HP Photosmart 6250 OCR compatibility

I have HP Photosmart 6520 connected to my Mac OSX 10.9.4. How will I know if it's compatible OCR & if this is how I get it to work?

    Hello
The software provided for your device does not include OCR functionality
As you can find listed in the specification of digitization, text files like TXT or RTF are not supported by the HP software:
    http://www.shopping.HP.com/en_US/Home-Office/-/products/printers/HP-Photosmart/CX017A

You can use OCR 3rd party to analyze as editable text.

VueScan for example provide OCR capabilities, as well as applications like Read Iris or OmniPage which can be purchased. You can search the Web for any freeware OCR solution, I don't personally know of such however.

    Kind regards

  • HP Photosmart B110: Solutions Center installs - problems of usb - only wanted to scan - how to install the scanner part

-With the help of HP Photosmart B110

-Use of Tower/Desktop computer running Windows 7 64 bit

Printer/Scanner connected via WiFi to router

-Printer part works, I can print to this device

-Scanner is accessible via the device Web page.

I want the software of the scanner Solutions Center.

I can't install the Solutions Center on Windows 7 64 bit. Setup stops and says that I have USB hardware and driver problems. USB on my Tower is USB2 and USB3 ports. Everything works perfectly and the Windows Device Manager has no problem with USB drivers/devices.

How can I install the scanner software (or all of the Solutions Center software)?

Tried to look in the folder for the files of instsaller scanner, nothing seems to work. (pulled other positions where it not install Solutions Center). Computer is working very well, so my only option at the moment is to look through the device's Web page, but it is not the best. And I would like to use the software. Also one third of the software "fax and scan" software and windows does not see the connected B110 (probably because it is on a network and not directly plugged into a usb port), so these two options came out.

HP forum, help please. Is there a way to bypass the usb part? I use this device on a network. Windows 7 sees (even if only as a printer), so also want windows to consider it as a scanner as well.

    Thank you

    Hi @jedi11csa,

Thank you very much to get back again.

I just talked with a few colleagues in this regard, and this problem seems to be more a matter of Windows operating system, if the computer displays that USB related errors as well as the installation had not yet reached the point where it asks you to select your connection type.

Maybe it's an investigation that is best suited for community Microsoft Forums as my resources have been exhausted in this respect.

I hope that you are able to find the solution you need.

    Thank you.

  • HP Photosmart B110 all-in-one: wireless printing is not possible

    Hello

I have my printer connected to my desktop via USB and other computers connect using my wireless network. Sometimes printing from one of the other computers works, sometimes it doesn't.

If printing does not work I have check the printer and it is connected to the correct network and online. I check the IP address and all withdrew. The computer that I use to print is connected to the same network and sees the printer as being online.

If I send a document to print, it is added to the queue, and then sits there. With the status of"impression". But nothing happens...

Today, I tried to delete the printer and add it again. Still no luck. What is going on?

    Hi @Plantje1978,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I understand that you can not print with your HP Photosmart B110, on 10 of Windows wireless. I'm happy to discuss this issue for you!

    Please, try the following steps:

Step 1: Check if the printer is paused or offline
  • HP Photosmart B110: B110 does print wireless more after the passage of internet service provider

    Hello

I have a photosmart b110 and always used printer wireless with no problems.

I use a laptop HP G62, windows 7 Home premium and as I said, never had any problems with my printer before (and goes through all the printing test pages, is anything wrong with that).

A week ago I changed my (internet) providers, and since there are problems:

But on the HP Networkconfigurationpage prints, the printer gives all the correct information (networkname etc.), it does not react to print from the laptop orders more.

Well, it does work once after the problem started and well after that I have installed on the pc (using "add new printer")

However, the next day, after having restarted the laptop, the connection was working no more.

So far, I called the service provider 3 times (in order to get different people) and heard 'Sorry, no idea' twice and "If you don't have internet, it must be the fault of the printer.

Can someone please give me an idea about where to look?

The last provider had a cable connection, this one is by telephone line, could that be a reason? And if so, why? And how can I solve this problem?

So, I hope that someone can offer some suggestion help! :-)

Reset the printer to the network settings.   Then...

Replacement/change your wireless router try here.

    http://www.HP.com/global/au/en/wireless/reconfiguring-system-Help3.html

However, if you have a gateway device, all devices in gateway (modem + router) are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.
