HP Photosmart C4780: HP Photosmart C4780 printer does not print
The printer does not print. It turns on and can scan and all that, but when I try to print it fair shoots on a single page. I checked my drivers and ink, both are very good. I've done the Troubleshooting Wizard HP and it has never worked (I tried 3 times and he said that the event was canceled somehow). I tried calling HP, but my printer is "more served by HP" (it's what tells me the site). Help

I'm here to try to help you with the problem you are having with your Photosmart C4780 white pages print, and I hope we can solve it!
I would like first of all for you to tell me if there are problems when you make copies, black and white copies and color.
Try a power reset if you haven't already and make sure that the printer is plugged directly into the wall, avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on.
Press the power button to turn the product on.
With the product, unplug the power cord from the back of the product.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Wait at least 15 seconds.
Plug the power cord into the wall outlet.
Reconnect the power cord to the back of the product.
If the product does not light by itself, press the Power button to turn it on.
Also run Print and Scan your PC of Windows 8 doctor , chose the option "Print of difficulty" and let me know that say the results at the end try printing out in Notepad too and I would like to know if the page is empty, or print very well.

Hi my (?) Photosmart eStation C510 printer does not print! I checked all settings changed ink cartridges, it will print a color image, but it will not print black and text is missing from the photo - I cleaned the printheads three times. I found the 'helpline' inaccessible HP and am pretty much scream of rage and frustration. I don't understand why it will not be printed. Printing ink level indicator is not telling the truth because I replacead all the cartridges this morning and he said one of them is half empty! You both seem to have some problems with printing caused by your print quality.
Suzyd (and I would like you to try this too, CPilenza), I recommend do you a similar process that is Cipelenza. I would like to open your machine and remove the cartridges and print heads. Then unplug your machine while it is still open. Then use a fluffy cloth (like a coffee filter) and little water to clean the contacts on the back of the printhead (the bumps in copper). Then clean the contacts inside the machine. So shut up and plug it / turn it on. Replace the printhead and cartridges in order ask the machine.
Sometimes, if the print head is damaged, the part will be replaced.

I had my HP Photosmart for about 6 months and it has worked well in the past by for the last two months, I can't get anything to print.
If I send something to print the printer icon jumps up and down (and does not), when I opened the icon, it says:
Print "Mocrosoft Word-..."
Connected to the printer
and then NOTHING!
The other day, I spit a page that had been sent to print a number of weeks, but that's all.
I uninstalled and reinstalled and looked through all the forums, I will find but have had no joy.
If anyone can help me I would appreciate it really - I'm a mature student and I have a number of essays due.

Thanks for the reply. I would like to reset the printing system, run software update and reinstall the printer with a USB cable. If we are able to solve the problem effectively, we can then convert the wireless connection to test this type of communication. Follow the steps below and let me know the results.
A. reset the operating system printing system:
- Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
- Choose Print & Fax on the menu display .
- Hold down the Option key while clicking on the "-" (deletion of printer). If no printer currently not added, hold down the Ctrl key while clicking on the button that appears above the button of "+" (add printer), and then choose reset printing... from the context menu.
B. perform the software update:
- In the Apple menu, choose software update.
Menu Apple in Mac OS X 10.6.6
- Software update checks the available updates. In the software update window, select the items you want to install, then click on install. Usually, you should install all available updates.
- Enter an administrator account name and password.
- Once the installation is complete, restart the computer if necessary.
C. Reinstall printer with USB cable
1. turn the printer and the computer
2. connect the USB cable for printer
3. USB connection to computer
Note: this should automatically add the printer, if it does not manually add the TI-see below *.
4. open system preferences, and then click Print & Fax
5. click on the sign under component printer +.
6. click on the name of the printer
7. click on add
8. test the functionality

Hi, I bought my photosmart Hp 6520 year last, October. But it is no more print black after replacing ink twice. I tried to clean the print head with water and tried "clean print head" in tools, does not solve the problem...
What is wired is that I bought 4 new 564 inks the hp of the target 2 days ago, printed only less than 10 pages to see if the problem is resolved. Then my printer told me that the cartridge is too low... Is this possible?
It makes me crazy now... What is even worse, I used a tool to detect my printer, and he said that is no longer under warranty... But he was only 9 months... How can I solve this problem? Thank you.
The document here can help solve the black does not print on your Photosmart 6520. Be sure to check the vents, as on the three solution.
If this does not resolve the issue I suggest you call HP (1-800-HPINVENt to the United States, see here for details by the way). The warranty online tool is an estimate, they will have a process of updated the status of the guarantee if necessary.
I have already posted in these forums about this, but no answers seem to solve my problem.
Basically, my Photosmart B210 (who bought last October) does not Magenta print. I went through several cartrides real both HP and brand own PC World and Magenta print never to pages. The estimated ink levels show the Magenta levels accordingly well (full when it is new, empty when used etc.).
I would like to know what steps I can take to resolve this problem, in addition to buying new cartridges (again!) and turn again and restore to factory settings - that did not work.

When the unit will not print a single or multiple color, it is labeled as a print quality problem.

I just got my HP Photosmart Prem C410 series and a few days ago it was printing leaves for school. I try of the starts today and it won't even turn on. I don't know what the problem...

I use Windows 7 and Microsoft Word. Printing options are set to main tray and the envelope is correctly loaded in the center of the main tray.
When asked to print, the result is an empty envelope.
The same happens when I try to print the "envelope" on A4 paper in the main tray. It seems that Word does not send print information.
There are no other printing problems.
Can you estimate the level of ink in its entirety for each cartridge, by looking at the gauge of printer ink? See the Solution 5
In Word, an envelope can be set to use a different color ink in the document. What color is defined for envelopes? You'll find this under Options , and then click fonts.
Don't do the setting in Word to agree with the central location of the envelope Feed ?
When the envelope is printed, the document must be set to print one sided and not print on both sides.

When I print from my Dell Inspiron One 2330 (wireless), the black ink does not work. I ran 10 Windows troubleshooting link on your site and it did not help. I printed a "quality report" directly from the printer and the black letterng was very good. I installed the new (564XL) black ink but it did not help. My problem turned out to be a hardware problem - bought a new printer.
Sometimes, I want to print something on the web that has the color, but if I have no color and just want black and white how can I do? I don't see anything on the control panel of the printer that allows me to do that.
The copy on the control panel function is, I suppose, just for the copy of something you place on top of the screen glass and not to the copy on the web. Is this correct?
Other printers (such as my old Canon printer) allows me to do black and white.
You can set print black ink using the settings of the printer on your Mac:
First of all, try to click the menu presets from the print dialog box and select the preconfigured black single preset.
If this does not appear, follow the steps below to manually create such a "Preset":
1. from the application used to print, click the file menu and select print. The print window is displayed.
NOTE: The print window might be minimized: click the blue triangle next to product model (Mac OS X v10.5 or v10.6) or the button view details (Mac OS X Lion v10.7 / 10.8) see all available parameters.
2. to access the color options, click in the area of selection below, listed as the name of the program (e.g. TextEdit)
Will appear as Copies & Pages within Microsoft Office applications.
3. Select Type/quality paper in the menu dropdown.
4. click the triangle next to color Options of spending parameters.
5. set the color to grayscale field.
6. set the Mode to grayscale in black cartridge only.
You can save the settings for later use by clicking preset > save current settings as preset.
I'm trying to reinstall a Photosmart C4780 on a Windows 7 laptop. When I use the installer from the installation CD, it gets as far as asking me to verify that I have accept the license agreements and installing. He then slowly runs out and stops. No messages of any kind.
Background: I had previously managed to install this printer on the same laptop. When I moved to a new wireless router, I went through a series of problems to make the printer work properly with the new router. Each corrective action only made things worse. I finally got to the point where I uninstalled the HP software and I tried to reinstall from scratch.
I have Bitdefender Antivirus installed. I tried to disable it, but that did not help.
In addition, autorun does not work for the installation CD, so I resorted to the location of the installation on the CD application and start it manually.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a hp photosmart C4780, I am trying to connect wireless to. The printer works fine via usb. But after several attempts to connect to my network I have no luck.
I tried to reinstall the software on my pc 64-bit windows 7 by ensuring that it is the latest software and updates for the printer.
I restarted the router several times. I tried to connect via WPS button and PIN method. I used all the guides help on HP site but no luck.
My fear is that the raido wireless not working anymore.
I printed the wireless network test report and everything looks good except that it says it failed to find the SSID of the network
and next to the IP address, it does not say there is. It indicates the mode of communication is in ad-hoc.
I don't see all of any of my devices hpsetup wireless network. Try a reset in the menu of the printer maintenance does not seem to work either.
Please try the below mentioned steps.
Touch SCAN > Menu Scan / wireless > restore the default values of the network.
Turn the printer off.
Wait 30 seconds
Power to the printer.
Tap the SCAN > Scan/Wireless Menu > turn on wireless
Launch the software of the printer.
my all-in-one photosmart 6520 connects wireless network 2.4, but does not recognize nor can I manually get to recognize the 5 G wireless. I have 2.4 to print. This printer not 5 G is compatible? or is there a way to force it to recognize and work with 5G?
The Photosmart 6520 wireless works on 2.4 GHz channels, it does not support 5 GHz. If your router supports both it should be possible to set up to allow communication between the computer on the 5 GHz access point and the printer on the 2.4 GHz band.
I have a fairly (1 month) new HP Photosmart 6515e bought at Costco, replaced the ink installation cartridges with new ones at Costco and had to reinstall the software, but now it does not work. the icons are on the screen but when I click on the hand that resembles a printer, nothing happens, I have uninstalled/reinstalled several times nothing helps, have you tried the USB connection or Setup wireless, still no go, have an edition HP Pavilion p6267c running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, 8 GB of ram all drivers updated. I turned off the printer using the power button. Now, I can't turn it on.
I cut the current unit and the mains, wait for the green light from the transformer came out, reconnected to the mains and to the printer. The switch light does not come. The Cancel button is lights up the button print photos to the printer doesn't exist.

I should be able to help on the printer turn on/off do not. You mentioned that light to cancel it and the light of the picture are on if the printer is powered. The first thing I suggest is to plug the printer into the wall directly if there is currently a power surge protector or extension cord. This may sound silly, but this will ensure the printer gets full power and can eliminate any unnecessary troubleshooting. If the printer is no longer becomes full power of power against power surges or extension cord it can give false errors, have bad connection, questions and quality of paper feed problems. It is also a good idea to try a different wall jack if the printer is already directly to a wall outlet.

I recommend to check this document to see if there is a paper jam in the printer: a 'Paper Jam jam. Claire then press OK. "Views for HP Photosmart D7200 Printer series D7400.
It would also be a good idea to check for a jam in transport as well by clicking on this document here: A 'transport Jam' Message is displayed for HP Photosmart D7200 and series D7400.

I've been printing envelopes #10 my Mac from word on my old HP 309n-c with no problems. I now have the HP 6520 and it does not recognize the envelope size. I was in and made sure the print properties were positioned and I still get the error message that I have not match the paper size. Any suggestions?
Choose file > Page Setup. Choose Page attributes from the settings menu, and then choose any printer from the Format pop-up menu for. Choose any printer ensures that your document can print on any printer that supports the paper size that select you.
If the Page Setup is not available, choose file > print. If the print dialog contains only two pop-up menus and some buttons on the bottom, click the triangle beside the printer pop-up menu.
Choose Manage sizes custom from the paper size pop-up menu.
Click the Add (+) button.
Double-click the name of the paper size, and then type a new name.
Enter values in the fields the paper size and margins of the printer and then click OK.
Note: Make sure that the envelope is placed in the center of the printer with the flap upward
