  Follow the steps below and let me know if this may resolve the issue:

  1 open the Mcafee Virus and Spyware Protection software you are interested in, click on calendar and perform analyses. Click analysis in real time, and then click stop. Never select and confirm by clicking the button turn off.
  2. open the dialog box run by clicking on the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type %windir%, and then click OK.
  3. type hpoins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpoins1.old)
  4. type hpwins*.dat in the search bar at top, if there is that no result rename the extention in old instead of dat. (e.g. hpwins1.old)
  5. start the Run dialog box by clicking the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC /Unregister. in the Run dialog box and click OK.
  6. launch the Run dialog box by clicking the Windows key and the R key on your keyboard. Type MSIEXEC/REGSERVER in the Run dialog box and click OK.
  7 restart your PC
  8. run the installation file and check all difference.
  9. Once you have finished, remember to open McAfee and re-enable real-time scanning.

  I was trying to figure why when you download the drive to my desktop windows XP Pro Sp 3 IE 8, I was getting an error window stating a script error has occurred on this page and it would ask if I wanted to continue. If I said yes it would block forever. So I ran the very sensible suggesstions and after approximately 1 hopur and half of my hair that I spied a URL on the script that were originally displayed and the whenevr error window, I retried the installation/download. I went to the url and it offer me a download of something so I jumped on it. I tried to download/install player again and it worked! So I'll try to get this info out there but don't really know how to do here, it is for any poor soul who MT try everything else is to come. So if anyone knows how, please spread this info where it will help.

• Disappointing: HP photosmart premium c309a wireless configuration problem. lack of options.

  just bought the HP309a the other day. Love the exit but looks like I have to go back. The printer has ZERO flexibility and configure for wireless connectivity.  You MUST USE the WEP key index #1 to connect.  It does not to adjust the settings to match your existing network.  Where I am, I almost10 running wireless networks where I live.  I use/need a key for more security.  My PSC 2510 old gave me the flexibility to adapt.  Help support told me that's about it... Could someone find a way?  The parameters to record your IP address manually are also very restrictive.

  I'll have to return the printer.  I wouldn't change my existing network (running 4 computers) just to correspond to 1 printer. Not sure why HP has realized this newest model so restrictive.

  Ok. Then temporarily connect the printer to your router using an ethernet cable. Now you should be able to access the Printers page, then run the Wireless Setup Wizard. To know the IP address of the printer, press Setup > network settings > view network settings > display wired summary.

• Dell XPS 420 with Vista Home Premium, replaced the hard drive, download now blue screen errors

  My girlfriend has a desktop Dell XPS 420 quit working a year or 2 ago. A computer technician told me that it sounded as if the hard drive was bad, recently I purchased from Dell, a Seagate 1 TB hard drive (the original is a Western Digital 320 GB).

  I bought also, once again from Dell, a copy of its installation discs for Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit.

  I installed the new hard drive, correctly, as far as I can tell, but I tried several times over the past days to install Vista and a few times I got errors (BSoD) STOP and a few other times, Windows Installer errors.

  What's wrong?

  I run Dell diagnostics that took almost a whole day, but I don't think anything. I have not partitioned the hard drive, it's like 931 GB.

  I think that may be something related to the RAM, but I'm not sure.

  It's not compatible win7, the latest released drivers were for winxp, so unless you have win7 Pro or Ultimate, and so can install virtual Windows XP, its won't work, and if it has only a serial port, which is another bridge, you'll have to cross.

I can use only through remote HP AiO. I can't use the scanner there is no application or a program that works.   First step: clear temp directory

  1. Type %temp% term or search programs and files of field
  2. Select all the files in this folder, and then press the delete key to remove. If you receive a message that the file is in use, you will need to ignore this file (s).
  3. Proceed to step 2 below

  Second step: downloaded and extracted to your system:

  1 download the drivers and full software features

  7. close this window and all open windows, and then in the Middle the desktop right click your mouse and select Paste. This will move the 7z folder on your desktop.

  10 open the CCC folder

  11 start the uninstall_L4

  12. once the uninstall is complete, restart the computer

  13. run disk cleanup from the tools Accessories\ system under all programs folder

• Canon ip2000 printer driver DOWNLOAD crashes in Windows 7 Pro x 64

  Download as well by automatic installation that appears when I plug in the printer, as well as through Windows Update, crashes at 66% finished. After a while the installation process and Windows Update just keeps sitting there. There is no network traffic. The download of the driver itself is supposed to be 6.9 MB according to the process of installation and 6.6 Mo according to Windows Update.

  Is it possible to erase the 66% already downloaded restart the download completely, as currently, it restarts the process from there, or is it possible to download the driver manually? This is supposed to be a relatively new pilot, published December 20, 2012. Canon offers no download driver for Win 7 for this printer, only pilot addons and another piece of software that helps with the installation of the printer at all.
