  • New ProBook G1 450. WiFi won't turn. No such driver on the HP driver support page.

    In short:

the Wifi on my new ProBook does not illuminate. Device Manager indicates that the device driver for the Wifi does not load and may be missing or damaged. It is said that the wireless device is an Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC3160 with Bluetooth handset device. HP driver support page is not a driver for this wireless device.

    Data sheet:
    ProBook G1 450
    Windows 7 Professional 64 bit
Wireless: Intel Dual Band Wireless AC3160 with device combined Bluetooth

    In more detail:

This is a new ProBook G1 450, which I'm still doing basic settings I've not yet added my programs. I'll put up the pre-installed operating system preinstalled with HP programs.

There the code connects to the internet via an ethernet cable and I downloaded several Win 7 HP updates in this way. But it does not connect via a wireless network. It does not recognize that there is Wifi signals in the area. My old Thinkpad and my tablet to recognize a number of strong Wifs in the region and easily connect to the one that I am authorized to use. The ProBook said that there is not a wireless in the region.

The ProBook WiFi is apparently disabled. The wireless light is turned on (white) and when I click on the appropriate icon, there's a message saying that Bluetooth is activated, but the Wifi is turned off.  Light is supposed to turn on if Wifi or Bluetooth, or both are enabled, it is not a malfunction if it lights up when turned on the only. But I have not yet tried Bluetooth.

Many other ProBook G1 450 apparently have a Ralink wireless device or other devices. Not mine. Apparently my ProBook has an Intel Dual Bank Wireless-AC3160 with Bluetooth handset device. That's what told Device Manager. And this device can be great or maybe even a nice improvement. However, unfortunately, the Device Manager also said "Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39). »

The page of HP support for downloads of driver for my ProBook has no driver for such a device with wireless Intel.

I did not try the wireless until you install many updates to Win and HP. As I noticed the problem of wifi, I found that it not install HP update: it was for 5 Hotkey support. Since then, I amhaving a little trouble with some other updates. I mention this in case it is interesting, but I can't see any link between these updates and Wifi.

    Help!

    It is resolved.

It was a driver problem. I had looked for the driver on the page of intel as well as the disk HP support page and it has not been found. But I looked back to the page of the Intel wireless driver and judge. The tricky part is that the pilot is not directly under Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160: no driver is listed directly for her. But intel brings together a large number of drivers wifi under the Intel PROSet/Wireless software. If you use the Intel Driver Update Utility 2.0. It updates the PROSET/Wireless software, and then this software installs the updated wireless driver.

My ProBook came with the Intel PROSet/Wireless software, but it is version 16.x.x.x. update the Intel page, is now 17.1.0.19.   He has in turn updated Daul Band Wireless - AC 130.  And now the s easily connects to Wifi.

  • ProBook 470: ProBook 470 poor WiFi after upgrade to Windows 10

    Hi all

There are so many issues report on WiFi on Windows 10 problems, but I'm not really mine.

I'm running the ProBook HP 470 with WiFi Atheros 9000 series card. It worked fine with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit.

A couple of weeks, I decided to upgrade to Windows 10. Everything works fine, except the WiFi. I can connect to the WLAN and network speed and the signal strength is perfect, but after a while (minutes or even hours), he falls abruptly to the bottom and my router WLAN even States disconnected, but he'll fix itself after a while. I can force the "self-repair-speed" of disabling and enabling WiFi again.

But, this is no good solution, WiFi has to work reliable all the time when not moving and it work perfectly with Windows 7. I was hoping that Microsoft and hardware vendors manage drivers after one year of version 10 of Windows, but seems not to be the case.

I have already installed the latest driver for HP download site, but it is already a year old, and it was the same thing as Windows / Microsoft has done while Windows Upgrade. Therefore no change to be expected.

Before that I go down again to Windows 7, what can I do? There are a few other pilots who could interfere with WLAN and might not be updated? (More of the WLAN driver I don't have other day manually because I count for the Windows upgrade process.)

    Volker

The laptop is to date, according to the release of Windows 10.

Anyway, it doesn't work well, that's why I decided to downgrade to Windows 7. Now it works again as it is supposed to.

  • HP Probook s 4320 - wifi problems

Thanks in advance for reading and pay attention to this frustrating problem I have.

I use a HP Probook s 4320 and just reinstalled Windows 7, as well as all pilots & assistant wireless etc.

At home, I have a broadband thanks Talk Talk (UK), through a router D Link N ADSL2 +, who works currently with no problem on a number other devices, laptop (Win Vista) Samsung, PS3, iPhone etc.

I've used the wifi on the laptop with no problems.

After reinstalling and coming to set up my wifi network, it recognizes my network and many others around me, I choose mine & try to enter my passowrd - unauthorized, then press the button on the router & go through it - everything seems to work ok.

After you connect to the internet for about 10 minutes, the connection drops and when I click the icon at the bottom of the taskbar wireless, my network is displayed at the bottom of the list with a red X next to it and I can not connect.

When I try, it says: -.

'The settings saved on this computer for the network do not match the requirements of the network.

When I right click on the wireless icon and select '' problems of disorder shoot, '' he says: -.

    "Check your wireless security type.

I can connect to the internet without any problem using the wired connection through the router.

When I go to security settings, they are:-

    -WPA2-Personal security type

    -Type of AES encryption

    Network - correctly-entered security key

Please could someone help me to be able to use wireless correctly, I would be very grateful!

    Thank you.

    Hello:

What model of wireless card you have (make and model)?

There must be a newer there than in 2009 driver.

    It's probably the main issue.

After you let me know that you install the updated driver, delete the network connection and it restore from scratch.

  • HP ProBook 6460 b: HP ProBook 6460 b WiFi card

    Hi guys,.

I bought a double router broadband and just when I thought that I had everything figured on how to use all the features of my new router Asus AC56U I came to realize I forgot the essential - I have not 5 GHz receiving the Wi - fi card in my HP ProBook 6460 b.

Next thing I discovered, it is who is locked with whitelist do not use what you like and replace stuff if you need to.

My question is - what dualband WiFi card buy to put in my laptop because I can not find the whitelist and it is updated (there should be an update).

I upgraded my possible the most recent BIOS version on the site of HP (it was something like April 2014) so I should have the last update in the white list.

Any information would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

    Please see the following document:

    http://h20628.www2.HP.com/km-ext/kmcsdirect/emr_na-c03253774-1.PDF

Another option: allow your router to strip double diffusion. I have to use this way of as many of my machines (and little wireless printers) may see as 2.4 GHz.

    Kind regards.

Yep, it happened quite often lately and the person responsible for keeping this site support better get with the program.

You can almost set your watch by day, you can expect it to go down and for how long.

This time he has been down quite awhile, so they have outdone themselves with this foul.

Maybe there is a scheduled maintenance this weekend.  Here in the hope of a long-term solution!

  • HP ProBook 4530 s: Hp ProBook 4530 s - WIFI with band AC under miniPCI-E

Hello, I have a problem with your HP ProBook 4530 s. I need to replace the WiFi card, I wonder if the card Intel® Dual Band Wireless - 7260 AC will work? Maybe someone knows about it and give me an answer? Thank you in advance. What about Adrian. Or maybe someone has a suggestion, what other WIFI miniPCI-e card supports bunch that AC will work on this laptop?

This isn't the first HP Service, just useful fellow users. The bad news for you, it's that the laptop is old enough to have a white list of BIOS that restricts wireless cards, you are able to install. The list is quite frozen in time to what it was when the laptop is new and that HP has decided to offer both. In your case, the best wireless adapter's part number 636672-001 Intel Centrino® Advanced-N 6230. It is a dual-band 2.4 and 5 ghz card, but not a 802.11ac compatible device.

Take a look at the Intel offer higher reliability and higher bandwidth.

    Intel wireless AC7260

  • ProBook 4530 s: WIFI adapters.

My laptop 4530 s has an Atheros WIFI card installed. The maximum download speed is about 50 MB. Can it be replaced with an adapter Intel N-6230. The two adapters are listed in the service manual for this computer.

    Hello

I partially agree to that. It is recommended to order the part with the part number of HP to be 100% sure that it will work, that said that there is no reason why a card ordered directly from Intel or a reseller should not work until and unless the form factor remains the same.

So, in my view, the card should work with the HP part number or without.

PS: The views expressed here are my personal experience with the last 7 years of material. I do not speak for HP on it.

Hey guys, I just tried my ps3 controllers to connect to my laptop and I realized its not detecting not not my bluetooth adapter.

IM on a g1 470 probook with card wifi realtek 8188 EA, is the integrated bluetooth adapter?

I tried all THE drivers on the support page says bluetooth realtek driver for win 8.1 which do not have a realtek bluetooth adapter.

My probook 1 470 t even no bluetooth?

or is it a problem of windows 8.1 driver

    Thank you hp

    Hello:

The number for your specific product 470 G1 does not come with built-in bluetooth.

I can tell because the Realtek wireless card uses your laptop is a single band, bluetooth card.

If you want a card with BT wireless, see Chapter 3 of the the service manual for the list supported without wireless/bluetooth combo cards and replace the Realtek card.

You need to get one of the maps in the maintenance manual and it must have the part number HP on it or more likely won't work.
